PS please let me rant some more – I’m pissed off bc the American education system in general is fucked up, they’re teaching that same stupid rote BS way I learned. I tried to help but am pulling my kid and sending her to private school, it’s an inexpensive sleeper of a school, too, thankfully. She knew more about being a world citizen at 7 living in Singapore than she’s learning now at 9 in the US, and that’s F’d up my fellow Americans…think about that when you’re feeling bigoted and superior.
