You can say it is not a slur and I feel it is. The rest of your letter means nothing because it has nothing to do with whether the term “white boy” is a racial slur or not.

I am going to assume that you are actually ignorant concerning the difference between a person in a position of power saying a thing and a person who is powerless saying the exact same thing. So let me attempt to educate you.

If I may, I would also like to address those who I suspect are not ignorant of the difference but use the ignorance of those like you to practice their own special racist hypocrisy, yes Sharon, I am referring to you.

Okay my point Al is if you were in Egypt and Arabs were calling you “white boy” you could have a reason to fear for your safety because other arabs could be incited to do you harm in a place governed by arabs. In America that same arab would only give you moment for pause because you didn’t like the term.

In America if you called me a derogatory name, I would have more cause to fear for my safety because in America the making of the Laws, the enforcement of the Laws, and the chief beneficiaries of those Laws is the white boy.

An OTW calling you a derogatory name in America can only possibly cause you a bit of discomfort, it does not immediately cause you to fear for your personal safety. In most instances it is the only means of venting an OTW has.

You white boys on the other hand have many more options which history and the average OTW’s every day experience shows can be lethal. Many of those options are begun by a white boy using a derogatory name to justify their cruelty. Now can you name an instance when the use of the term “white boy” preceded the murder of millions of the white race? So who do you think owes who an apology. To date the white hasn’t even acknowledged the genocide committed against the American Indian, much less given an apology.
