And for those of you who look to me on this blog for news. The news is – The Governor declares Guam Breastfeeding Week.

Guam – This week has been declared Guam Breastfeeding Week. This coincides with the worldwide celebration. Registered nurse and lactation consultant Barbara Mafnas says while bottle feeding is adequate, the breast is the best.

She told KUAM News, “Hands down, breastfeeding is the best because the body produces milk that is designed for the babies so of course there is no pre-preparation, no special packaging, it’s ready on demand when the baby wants it the mom makes it.”
