Every married or woman shacking with a man needs to read and carry on her person the little handbook "What Every Woman Should Know About Divorce."

Most women leave it up to their man to decide for them who is the best candidate, what political party best represents her interest, and what to think about race. Women usually defer to the man when it comes to the management of their money.

Men know this and usually spout the most ridiculous bullshit when rendering opinions about these and other things. The more a man feels he is talking to the "typical" woman the more bullshit he will spew.

So ladies when a man tells you something so stupid that it makes you wonder if he has shit for brains, it may speak more about the women who he has been with than it does about what he knows. That is not to say that the dumb bastard is stupid. It is just to add the possibility that the previous woman he was with was so passive as to lead him to believe that his shit didn't stink.

In working this presidential race think, I have found that the idea that an OTW could become president is so unnerving to the average white male that he is tempted to vote against his best interest and the interest of his family and country to insure that it doesn't happen. At every opportunity he attempts to poison the mind of any female he has contact with by comments and suggestions that the black candidate can not possibly be as qualified as the white male.

I ask the women out there to ponder this question. Name two things you know about McCain that says he is qualified to be the Commander-in-Chief of the United States military. Before you make a fool of yourself let me eliminate some answers that would be "obvious" choices.

1. His military service. McCain's military service would be relevant to the job of CIC. But essentially sitting out the Vietnam war by being a prisoner of war for 5 years does not qualify. Yes, he was a prisoner of war and that fact makes him eligible like thousands of other men and women in the US military who also were prisoners of war during the vietnam conflict, for certain accommodations. But getting an automatic qualification as knowledgeable to be CIC is not one of them.

McCain's military service does not show any instances in which he served as a leader of any group of men confronting the enemy. His military service gave him no experience in strategy or tactics. He has no military record showing that he ever trusted by any one above him in rank above him to lead his fellow soldiers in arms against an opposing force where it might be necessary for him to employ the use of strategy or tactics.

The only conclusion that can be reached is that he has no skills in that area that he can claim as superior to anyone else. That would include people men or women who have not had military experience. The simple truth is that the generals and other officers that are tasked with using their strategic and tactical skills to confront the military and other enemies of the USA have not demonstrated any faith in McCain's ability to be able to do the same under combat conditions anymore than they have of non military personal.

Conclusion: His military service gives him no edge on anyone as to his qualifications to be the CIC of the USA. Men may imply otherwise so as to vicariously gain some edge with non military (especially gullible women) that their past military service gives them some particular incite on world affairs. Ladies it doesn't!

2. His long service on in the Senate and serving on commissions tasked with making military decisions. - This does give one a lot of opportunity to amass the skills necessary to be CIC. BUT, if the person doesn't have the mental capacity to learn what the opportunity presents, it is a wash. Here is where you will have to decide if his temperament has indicated whether he has the mental stability to have learned enough from that position and whether he has the ability to apply it to the position of CIC.

Most men who have not served in the military tend to be impressed by those who have when it comes to questions of military significance. Men who feel no need to apologize for their courage don't. They can evaluate a situation based on the facts. Women are born capable of doing this. Yet, they voluntarily give up that critical thinking capacity to the shit for brains men they are with.

The result is a general acceptance that McCain has the edge over Obama when it comes to leading this country in a military crisis.

My vote has been cast. It was good to see how many people were there voting early, making their voices heard. I have a picture of my ballot just in case...

It is frustrating and saddening that the Repugnicants tout the fairness and equality of our country as we all know of the lies. McCan't and SP simply lie and continues to lie directly to people's faces and there are people that will vote for them thinking they are honorable and honest in the shit they spew. I don't get it. Yet, this stuff is proved incorrect, wrong, or outright untruths. I have even confronted people, friends, over this past year and asked directly, why they would vote for McShame, to get a response of "Well, I'm republican, always have been." Ignorance is bliss, until you lose your job, your house, your marriage...but, it's okay, since it must be some part of god's plan...

How about thinking and helping god's plan out? Maybe that is god's plan, the power and USE of thought! That is why we have the power of choice. Remember that word. Oh, no, that is not part of that party's agenda...

I am just amazed at some people that I went to college with, grew up with, hang with at this point in my life, or have worked with, and some that are very highly educated that simply vote for economics or at least they think so. Some of these are solely for that reason, or some are for the dream of becoming that, as Anonz has stated. It blows my mind...How can such highly educated people be so ignorant? Some female, teachers, with daughters, I know have voted Repugnicant? I don't get it? Due to purely religious reasons...sad...

It is a shame to see this, that for them as a human being are so wrapped up in their financial or little dogmatic worlds that this is the only thing their life is about.
Hormones and Your Mind

Edward L. Klaiber, MD
UMass Memorial Medical Center

Do you ever feel so irritable, anxious or muddle-headed that you wonder if you're losing your mind? Blame it on hormones.

Encouraging: Hormone therapy (HT) often can prevent or correct much of the moodiness and mental decline associated with menopause. Such improvements usually occur after just a month or so of HT. Some women improve dramatically.
Discouraging: Most women who could benefit from HT are not getting it -- because most doctors are wary about prescribing it.
THE BIG FOUR
Of the body's many hormones, four particularly affect brain function at midlife...
Estrogen helps to maintain the strength and structural integrity of our brain cells and protects against damage to them. When estrogen levels are low, the brain actually can atrophy. Low levels of estrogen can lead to memory loss and mood swings, and may even contribute to Alzheimer's disease.
In addition, estrogen regulates blood flow to many parts of the brain that affect cognitive function. Brain nerve cells communicate with one another by secreting chemical neurotransmitters that influence reasoning, emotions and other brain functions.
Certain brain cells have dendrites -- delicate twig-like structures with tiny spines that pick up messages carried by neurotransmitters. These spines depend on estrogen and testosterone to remain healthy. As women age and these hormones decline, some of these spines are lost -- so communication between brain cells is impaired. Women may begin to feel anxious and find it hard to sleep or to concentrate. Estrogen therapy can help to maintain the health of these spines.
Estrogen also may improve the effectiveness of antidepressant medications. Studies show that some selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, such as fluoxetine (Prozac), may work more quickly, more effectively and/or for a greater percentage of postmenopausal women when estrogen therapy also is used.
Testosterone is often thought of as a male hormone, but women produce it, too. Testosterone influences areas of the brain that regulate learning and memory, as well as sexual responsiveness. As testosterone levels decline gradually with age, a woman may have more trouble concentrating. Low testosterone also causes the sexual center in the female brain to shrink, resulting in lowered desire.
Women's testosterone levels are naturally lower than men's. Fortunately, even these low levels now can be measured accurately with blood tests. For some women, low-dose testosterone therapy provides increased energy, improved mood and a reinvigorated libido.
Progesterone regulates menstruation, prepares the body for pregnancy and modulates the effects of estrogen, which in excess amounts can cause cancer. Progesterone also affects the brain. But whereas estrogen and testosterone have an antidepressant action, progesterone can have a depressant effect -- causing mood swings and irritability in some women. Progesterone also has a negative effect on sex drive. The highest progesterone levels occur prior to each monthly menstrual period and are related to symptoms of PMS. Levels of progesterone decline gradually during perimenopause (the years during which the body transitions into menopause) and become quite low after menopause.
Thyroid hormone regulates metabolism for the whole body. In the brain, it appears to aid the activity of neurotransmitters. A midlife drop in thyroid hormone levels is thought to be related to the drop in estrogen at menopause. More than 10% of women over age 55 develop mild hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone levels), which can cause mood swings and/or depression. This can be treated with thyroid hormone therapy.
HT FEARS CALMED
Until five years ago, HT was the standard treatment for menopausal symptoms, including moodiness, memory problems, hot flashes and vaginal dryness. It also appeared to protect against heart disease and osteoporosis (brittle bones). But in July 2002, the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) -- a large clinical trial sponsored by the National Institutes of Health -- reported that estrogen therapy increased the risk for heart attack, stroke, blood clots and breast cancer, so doctors stopped prescribing it. What we know now that we didn't know then...
Participants' average age was 63 -- much older than most women for whom HT is recommended today. Older WHI participants were already at increased risk for heart attack and stroke before they entered the study. Here's why: Estrogen protects against arterial disease, as shown by a recent study in The New England Journal of Medicine. Most WHI subjects had not been on estrogen therapy prior to the study and therefore were prone to develop arterial disease. When women with diseased arteries are given estrogen, the hormone may trigger blood clots that can lead to heart attack and stroke.
WHI subjects who had not had a hysterectomy were given daily estrogen and progestin (a synthesized pharmaceutical with effects similar to progesterone). This combination is now known to increase the incidence of heart attack, stroke and breast cancer.
New: A reevaluation of WHI data shows that for women under age 60 who are less than 10 years past menopause, estrogen therapy generally is safe and protects against heart disease. It is sometimes appropriate for women in their 60s who have no signs of heart disease.
Important: Women who have not had a hysterectomy and who take estrogen also should take progesterone to protect against uterine cancer. But since daily progesterone may increase the risk for breast cancer and heart attack, many doctors now advise taking it for only about 10 days per month.
To find an endocrinologist or gynecologist who is up to date on the safest, most effective ways to use HT, contact the nearest medical center associated with a medical school. Best results come from an HT regimen that is tailored to a woman's individual needs.
