Well, I guess it is blocked enough...only Howie, health info, another and myself got in yesterday...hmm...suspect, but now I'm really curious, was the person who sent you the email reason a total computer geek bc if she/he found it, then it is a thwart but a fixable thwart, yes? A total block to our freedom to find/read mm blog would not be found in an email at all, it would be embedded in code you would never see...I hope that doesn't happen, most of us love it here (even when there's caustic convo). Hope it all works out, Misch. - ZL

The on-again, off-again Rand Paul (R-KY) Dirty Air Assault appears to be back on again.

A Senate vote could come at any time, as soon as tomorrow or Wednesday.

More Information
Operating under the bizarre theory that more unhealthy air will magically create jobs, Sen. Paul wants to block a life-saving clean air standard that protects people from out-of-state polluters -- the EPA's Cross State Air

Pollution Rule (CSAPR).
This from a man who has said the EPA "has done more harm than good," and that President Obama was "forcing the EPA down our throats."

CSAPR will cut pollution from coal-fired power plants, save up to 34,000 lives, prevent 400,000 asthma attacks, and avoid 1.8 million lost work and school days due to respiratory illnesses every year.

But, Sen. Paul's bill, S.J. Res 27, would throw out CSAPR and would permanently bar the EPA from ever issuing a substantially similar rule.

Sen. Paul is corralling support in the Senate right now. And he is planning to force a vote on his resolution under rarely used procedure that bypasses normal Senate rules and fast tracks action in the Senate.
That's why your Senators need to hear from you today --Even the most ardent anti-government members of Congress should understand the validity of this important rule.

The whole point of CSAPR is to stop big polluting states from dumping their air pollution into neighboring states. Without a national standard, citizens of downwind states are at the mercy of upwind polluting states.
But this important life-saving standard is precisely what Rand Paul's bill will undo.

This is a truly dreadful bill and it must be stopped.
