We should not need a holiday to tell us when to give thanks, but I find it a good day to think about things to be grateful for instead of only thinking about the negative.

Even though things are difficult and the future might feel discouraging, we could all find reasons to be thankful for what we do have. This is a day to look at the glass as half full instead of half empty.

Think about it. If you have a roof over your head, food to feed the family, and most importantly — a few good friends who make my life worth living, then this is as good a day as any to give thanks for what you do have.

For those who are having a trying time, try to HOPE that President Obama gets re-elected and the repugnants get what is coming to them this coming year. Then the future can begin looking better for us all.

We mustn’t forget to thank Michelle for keeping her blog going and having a place to exchange ideas and information.
