Obama will change the way the civilization sees itself should he get re-relected.

If he does not get re-elected, civilization will still be forced to change the way it sees itself, but unfortunately the vision may not quite so pleasant.

Of course, the factor of THE TWO makes these two statements variable, but the reality of what is coming for Earth is incomprehensible for HBs today. Give it 30 months.

I mean no offense to those drawing lines on the outcome. I've learned too much recently. I am purposefully not blogging. I'm resigned that HBs have steered themselves to this outcome.

I will also not write about the light technology. HBs will see soon enough. If Howie feels you need to know, he will expound.

Damn, I'm tired of the hypocrite republicans sneaking in with their "Human Events" articles.

Talk about misleading titles. These guys are right out of the book "1984."

Here's my counter : Towards the end of this video, Mr. Frank nails the lie that the republicans are for less government.

This weekend, Vaclav Havel, the great anti-Communist freedom fighter passed away. In addition to having been imprisoned by the Communists, he led the "Velvet Revolution" en route to becoming the Czech Republic’s first president after the fall of the Soviet Empire.

Havel na Hrad! (Havel to the Castle!) read the signs as Eastern Europe began to experience freedom.

Also this weekend, the last of the U.S. combat troops, who have bravely given everything that they had, left Iraq, ending U.S. operations there. And Kim Jong-Il, the brutal dictator of North Korea, passed away.

As Iran and the Shias will inevitably fill the power vacuum now developing in the Middle East and with Kim Jong-Un, who is not even 30 years old, now in charge of a nuclear arsenal in North Korea, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions began a transition of sorts this weekend.

Indeed, December 18, 2011 will be a date historians write about as one of those symbolic pivot points in both areas. The question that remains is whether both those regions will continue to experience the reign of oppressive and freedom-crushing rulers, not unlike the Soviets Havel fought against, or will they become countries more hospitable to freedom, like the Czech Republic Havel led?

Having grown up in Orange County, California, I am obviously a Reagan aficionado. We learned a lot about Reagan in our schools, and, along they way, we were able to learn a bit about Havel.

I remember how much passages from his books, The Power of The Powerless and The Art of the Impossible, struck me and influenced me. Though Havel is in a lot better place than Kim Jong-Il now, and his words serve as a powerful reminder of how life is like in many parts of the Middle East and North Korea.

Here’s how Havel described the "post-totalitarian" world in The Power of The Powerless:

"The post-totalitarian system touches people at every step, but it does so with its ideological gloves on. This is why life in the system is so thoroughly permeated with hypocrisy and lies:

government by bureaucracy is called popular government; the working class is enslaved in the name of the working class; the complete degradation of the individual is presented as his ultimate liberation; depriving people of information is called making it available;

the use of power to manipulate is called the public control of power, and the arbitrary abuse of power is called observing the legal code;

the repression of culture is called its development; the expansion of imperial influence is presented as support for the oppressed; the lack of free expression becomes the highest form of freedom; farcical elections become the highest form of democracy; banning independent thought becomes the most scientific of world views; military occupation becomes fraternal assistance.

Because the regime is captive to its own lies, it must falsify everything. It falsifies the past. It falsifies the present, and it falsifies the future.

It falsifies statistics. It pretends not to possess an omnipotent and unprincipled police apparatus. It pretends to respect human rights. It pretends to persecute no one. It pretends to fear nothing. It pretends to pretend nothing."
