And for the uninformed posting here, the Debt Ceiling DOES NOT ADD DEBT. Raising it is merely the Congress approving payment for those things which they’ve already enacted.

Not raising it is akin to buying a house and then saying, “Well, we’ve decided not to pay the mortgage.”
