Fighting for America’s Women
Moments ago, Republicans in the Senate blocked consideration of the Paycheck Fairness Act, just days after House Republicans voted unanimously against bringing the bill to the House floor for a vote. In doing so, the GOP stands against fundamental fairness for America’s working women and families struggling to get by.

Equal pay for equal work should be a pillar of our democracy. In this time of great economic challenge, the 77 cents that women make for every dollar men make adds up to a real impact on working families. When we strengthen economic security for America’s women, we strengthen economic security for America’s families. My Democratic colleagues and I will continue to work on behalf of the opportunity for all Americans to participate equally in the prosperity of our country.

Congresswoman Pelosi celebrates LGBT Pride Month throughout the month of June.

25 Days…
Time is running out, with only 25 days remaining until student loan rates double for over 7 million Americans nationwide. Unless Congress acts now, the increase will add $6.3 billion to students’ debt burden in one year alone. We are committed to preventing the increase from happening and keeping college affordable. Republicans, on the other hand, voted in their budget to double the student loan interest rate, while also slashing financial aid by $166 billion over 10 years at the same time that they protect millionaires, Big Oil, and corporations that ship jobs overseas.

The GOP has abandoned efforts to work with Democrats to find a responsible path that would prevent the doubling of interest rates on America’s students.

Doug, right on, who gives a f**k what they had in mind is right, it was all just protecting what's mine/mine/mine (the white man chant, ...just like two year old's, hmmm)

Mike, I am assuming you meant Zen Lill not Kill and spellcheck sold you out, you should see what it does with my last name : ) (devil) so for all you conspiracists my spellcheck code name is Kill Devil : D love it...

Hafa adai Peter, forgot to ackowledge you the other day, I am still stunned by the Spanish & slaves issue discussed last week, in the research rabbit hole again, less time now though...

Tracy, a small tid bit, (most) everything about how a relationship/FWB comes about is negotiated by the woman in it, any terms you throw out will be acted upon and taken at face value as acceptable by a man such (I cannot comment on same sex situations, I have no experience in that arena) if they don't suit you, then walk away or speak up and renegotiate, and you will probably have to do this renegotiating with some regularity bc needs, your and/or his might/will change. (confidentiality prevents me from getting too specific) but more often than not women negotiate and agree (often not in words but through actions) terms that don't suit them at all up front and then get angry when the terms are 'violated' - just as any parent would tell their children, sometimes 'we must use our words' to convey what is and is not a personal 'deal breaker'.

I know one of mine is no big outtie belly buttons, sorry : ) LOLzzz...couldn't help myself - I made that up (though I'd prefer a small belly button though obviously other more large aspects come into play and ohhhhh yezzzsssss, those puns were all intended), I know some of the above takes what I hear of as 'courage' and I say to that, not if you're speaking from your intuitive place, there's lots of meaning in words coming form that place and I have never had any man not engage in the conversation when it's open and expansive, which is speaking of your own viewpoint without accusation or need for approval or anything else, if you state who and how you are from the intention of being known, no one will run, I assure you. This type of talking can be used for anything really, from getting to acceptable terms with a friends with benefits to your future love of your life, bc you must discern whether a man is psychologically stable esp if its a FWB situation, unhinged kooks are definitely deal breakers and can cause you problems your unprepared for...and you sure don't want to marry one accidentally...

That's my two for today, any questions/comments, Tracy...and I'm not picking on you, I mean it in the nicest of ways? Any of that helpful?

Howie, it's kinda scary to hear the 116k/7 say that an anomaly is ready to release typhoons due to Uyber refusing to allow her son to return to earth.

I don't even want to mention the T word in any conversation and here they are already predicting one! I hope the TAO can resolve this issue.
