I don't buy this poll. I was a pollster for over 5 years and I know how easy it is to skew a poll. It does not make sense that with all the heat Romney has been taking recently that Romney would be climbing in the polls. And like Judge Judy says "if it doesn't make sense it is a lie."

Who are you and what country do you people live in? President Obama spent months drumming up support for his jobs bill then cut it up into pieces to find any parts that the Republican congress would actually pass.

The unemployment rate is as high as it is largely because congress simply refuses to pass legislation to do anything about it. Thank you hate mongers who are willing to throw your fellow citizens under the bus because of your dislike of the President.

A year or so ago unemployment was at the ugly level of 10% and the press was all agog about how the President could not get elected if it remained there. It didn't. American automobile workers still have jobs.

Having just taken a driving vacation, I can tell you that some of our federal tax dollars are hard at work fixing roads and making bridges safe for automobile traffic.

Cuts in the federal budget have caused cuts in state budgets, since states have received a healthy portion of their money from the federal government since Nixon began "revenue sharing," which then became block grants, etc.

Because of decreased state revenue, states then reduce the amount of money they give to localities. For example ask any local government how much ABC store revenue they received this year...or last.

Some of that money used to be returned to the localities but that faded away several years ago. All of this has resulted in decreased government spending which manifests in layoffs and decreased government hiring.

And the decrease in all US jobs since 2007 is almost exactly equal to the decrease in government jobs (those are teachers, firefighters, police, building inspectors, election officials), despite the fact that conservatives postulate that a decrease in government spending will somehow increase jobs.

Meanwhile, the jobs, jobs, jobs Congress votes again and again to repeal the Affordable Care Act and restrict abortion, because that is apparently how they plan to put Americans to work. Abortion inspectors perhaps?
