I'm now part of the generation where Democratic party owns Strong. It used to belong to the republican party because they were perceived as the party that knew how to conduct foreign policy and thus would keep us safe.

Now the dems have Obama and he has literally wrested that mantle from the republicans. This white girl is smiling all day long as her father and other male relatives wrestle with the pure ignorance of Romney.

Mom and I swap wry grins when dad opens up in an attempt to justify the ignorance of Romney. Spin it dad.

The family has not received the body of their loved one and you have a wanna to be President criticizes your husband's decision to try to find a peaceful solution and saving lives of the people in the Embassy.

You can keep saying the name Obama, but Ambassador Stevens’ family knows that you are making critical statements about their loved one. Mitt Romney is lower than whales chitz.

Mitt you are not the President, you looked foolish speaking before the President, that is what I consider "disgraceful” and a total lack of respect for your country.

Release your tax returns.

And: have you been offered, and have you accepted, amnesty from the IRS?

This is the statement made by a US Embassy without approval of the White House. It is this statement that Romney felt required immediate criticism of a sitting President during a the crisis.

This is the statement that Romney felt needed to be condemned while the Embassy that issued it was in jeopardy of imminent attack.

Is it possible to object to some of the sentiments? Yes. Does such condemnation advance US interests or protect our US servants and allies that were and are in harm's way? No.

Is there any conceivable reason why this statement had to be issued in the midst of a crisis unfolding?

Absolutely not. Romney is not fit for office.

"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others."
