This blog is tiring to me due to when I read the comments I see just how many ignorant, racist, uneducated, irrational, idiots there are…Steve, David, John, Mark, the large percentage of the people in the uneducated “southern” states are perfect examples.

My girls wanted to see the Hunger Games. I advised against it. It was this site that made the want to see it. They really couldn’t understand why whites were so against a little black girl playing a part.

As a lifelong progressive Democrat who finds Obama to be too conservative, I say, ‘bless you, dear sister.’

I have nothing against fiscal solvency, balanced budgets, non-bloated government and true family values (including the right to marry according to one’s wishes, adopt children, inherit property, and do family planning while using birth control, or even abortion if it’s a last resort).

It wasn’t just Obama who won yesterday. People like you, who turned your backs on ignorance, hatred and fear, won yesterday, too.

You embraced science, truth, education, the rights of working people to decide their own destinies, and the american Way of Life, which has always been about working together to find a way to protect the rights of all people.

I’d be willing to stand by you any day. Conservatives like you are all right by me.

As someone who generally identifies as conservative but finds current Republican policy vomit worthy, I really hope that the party can finally grow up and get with the 21st century. You can be fiscally (and socially) conservative without still living in the 19th century.
