The Greek gods represented that group’s evolving philosophy about who they were and why. Zeus, as the typical then, was a horny man that fucked anything that he took a fancy to. The fact that Hera was Zeus’s sister before she became his wife was a deliberate statement to say that a man would seduce anything. It was the original statement that with a man the little head Always overrules the big.

You were given a movie about Greek gods and their human offspring. Zeus had promised that couple that he would father a son from an issue from their loins who would be a King.

When Hera learned that Hercules was that issue, she set about changing the course of events to prevent Zeus’s promise from occurring, and she did. This was one of the first tales that showed that any man’s plan could be prevented by a woman’ desire to alter it.

The subconscious implication was that women were smarter. Hence they had to be controlled. Notice that Hera never used her sexual wiles to accomplish anything she wanted done. She used her mind. It was only with Christianity and Islam that it was alluded to that the only way women could thwart the will of man was through her sexual wiles. Hence she had to be controlled to prevent her from her evil ways. The implication being it was evil for a woman to thwart the will of a man.

Hercules was also one of the first tales that showed that a strong virile man was dumber than a smaller less sexually accomplished or capable man. Hence in many tales Hercules was portrayed as a dumb beast that had to be led by a smaller more intelligent man. Jealously reared its ugly head in a profound way to subconsciously influence the will of all. Hence those small or average sized kings were viewed as giants among men.

The story sought to portray what would happen if women were equal to men and who they would influence most. The companionship of men to and for men was laid down to give man the subconscious concepts that he has today; Women are inherently a distraction or impediment to the accomplishments of man.

The big strong guy that could attract women and fuck like a horse was portrayed as the least desirable of creatures in the manly world of men. That too is continually droned into the human psyche, today by most civilized ideologies.

Understanding the intent of a legend is important if one is to understand the story. Here the character Hercules could not possibly win. His story was designed to condition a subconscious thought for humanity to follow.

For the record, we are not gods, but if we, aliens, picked an individual to make miserable, no amount of self control would help the poor creature. We would just turn up the volume. So there is no advice that I could have given Hercules that if taken would have changed one iota of his experience. Hera was in charge of his life and only she could determine what his fate was to be.

But if you notice Hera in the end forgave him for something he had no choice in, being the son of Zeus. She eventually rewarded him in death with Hebe, her daughter, as his wife.

This was a negative in those and perhaps these days too. It showed weakness. A man would kill his enemy and damn him even after his death. Not so a woman the legend said. Hence it was showing that a woman was not capable of putting the fear of disobedience into the hearts of the enemy, therefore she did not deserve to be a protector of the kingdom.

There are many different versions of the tale of Hercules. All were told to influence the reader to believe in a certain philosophy of man.

re: your comment on my blog, yes, I would do a lap dance with a petite and sexy mama like you and I’d dig it, hahaha, wish you were in my class. the workout is excellent, better than I’d have ever thought, I met up with a Brit pal yesterday who said this, ‘your ahss looks lovely, what have you been doing and how much weight did you lose’ now listen you can take that as a slam to my ‘old’ ahs, which I don’t, it was good (enough) but thanks to our earthling girl Sheikh (and I thank you, kind of…) who made mention of the Irishman seeing anonz’s um, head/face, in uh, disrepair…I must say it turned my stomach for days and has resulted in an 8 lb weight loss to date, so yeah, uh thanks for that, Sheikh.

All of the above lead to the change in this belief (you asked this several days ago) here it is, when I lose too much weight, my face gets too skinny and small, totally not true, I look the same, hahaha…

Doug, my traffic went up after Ed and Anonz went on a political rant/response thing, will have to check since the mention on Paki blog, thanks for that Michelle, forgot to say that. I’m sure it’s up there now, have several more private commenters, I get all kinds of personal q’s, funny that. I address some on my blog via an entry and some I just have to take a pass, cause unless we’re having personal dealings some things are on a ‘need to know’ basis and I decide when anyone needs to know more than they already do!

Boggzy, I am totally digging this ‘Mobs…’ book, it’s insightful and the writing style is loaded with dry humor, usually I start to zzzz when too much of what I call ‘war s**t’ gets talked about, but he/she have a whole different take on the matter…excellent just for a change of historical perspective.
