Glad you&#039;re ok : )
Growing up in CT I can only add that we all slathered ourselves up in Avon&#039;s - Jean Nate&#039; &#039;skin so soft&#039; oil, mozzies hate it, ticks hate it and you can lie in the deer romping grass all day long (and you reaped the added benefit of soft skin, I also didn&#039;t love the smell though it&#039;s preferable to being eaten up alive by bugs in summer in the humidity of the east coast). 
Citronella candles around your yard, tiki torch style works well also, candles seem to only keep em&#039; 3&#039; at bay at the most...
