However it is not a thing to be proud off. Specifically with respect to children’s mistreatment it happens in front of the police in Bangalore. Just go fro a drive and when the car stops at any signal you see many children begging or selling toys.

It is well known that they are controlled by a group making them professional beggars. Police watch them and do nothing. I am sure this is the case in all cities. The police commissioner should answer why this is happening. About moral responsibility the Police chief seems to be ignorant.

In the 50s Lal Bahadur Shastry resigned as railway minister when a flash flood caused a train accident in Ariyallur. He did not ask ‘why should I resign as the flood was a natural calamity.’

According to statistics released by Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar today, the national capital reported 463 rape cases this year till April 15 as against 179 during the same period last year.

While molestation cases showed 600 per cent rise this year (from 139 to 973 cases), eve teasing cases increased by 783.67 per cent (from 49 to 433 cases).
