* Typhoon force winds extend outward to 25 miles from the center.

* Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 145 miles from the center.

* Typhoon Francisco is expected to continue moving towards the north-northwest throughout Thursday night and Friday morning.

A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Guam and for the waters surrounding the island out to a distance of 40 nautical miles. That means that topical storm conditions, including damaging sustained winds of 40 mph or more, are possible within the next 12 to 24 hours.

No typhoon watches or warnings have been issued because the system is not expected to come close enough to bring typhoon force winds over the island.

A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Rota, Tinian and Saipan and adjacent waters out to 40 nautical miles.

Thursday evening, Governor Calvo placed Guam into Condition of Readiness 2. All schools and GovGuam offices will be closed Friday.
