It’s not as if Sochi just found out they had to host the Olympics a couple of months ago. They’ve had years to prepare…yet it seems like someone sent them a last minute email “Hey Putin, turns out Switzerland doesn’t want to host anymore, you mind if we do it at your place?”

The fact is they’ve had more than enough time to get their act together.

The hotels are missing lightbulbs, doorhandles, and sometimes even the doors themselves. Security guards are being underpaid, if they’re being paid at all.

It is just terrible here.
