What interests me most about your comment is the very detailed knowledge of Drag Queen Finance 101, and the truly personal intimacy it seems to imply.....

Perhaps someone didn't make Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and now has an ax to grind. The next point of interest is the idea that drag queens don't improve themselves.

Who gets to judge whether that's true or not? Oh right, venomous (and anonymous) internet comment enthusiasts. All hail the courageous...

Anoymous#67, is this your personal story? You sound like a pathetic loser. I know MANY drag queens that raise money for charity and are more of a man than you'll ever be and more of a woman than you'll ever get!

Anonymous#67, "ALL" is a very strong, inaccurate term. I happen to be a drag queen who came by the art quite accidentally... I had purchased a home and wanted to do SOMETHING to help out my fellow man in my community.

Surprisingly, I found my "niche" by doing drag. I have helped raise HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars for organizations and individuals in need and have served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations. I have traveled all over the West Coast raising money and I host a weekly drag show on a pro bono basis.

I'm often in drag 3, 4, 5 nights a week helping out various charities. I do all of this while maintaining a full time job as an HR Professional ... and I have a Master's Degree... The queens I hang out with, know very well, and call family (and there are a LOT) are hard working individuals who are educated, work full time jobs, and give from their hearts!

In my opinion: working on improving the lives of others through selflessness inherently results in improvement in oneself. I don't know from whence you hail, but it probably wouldn't be a total tragedy if you got out once in a while and looked outside your own box.
