Concerned Jew, People hate mostly for one simple reason – It makes them feel as though they are superior to whatever it is that they hate.

Also, early education plays a role, and something that is taught in early childhood is rarely questioned. Instead, it is believed to be truth.

Julllian#70, Interesting perspective. What would you have advised the Jews of 1930s Europe do to prevent being the targets of prejudice and rage? Convert?

Abandon their businesses among non-Jews? Stop intermarriages? Would that have accomplished the goal of being “beyond reproach?”

Got news for you: converts, intermarried, forsaking businesses, integrating, keeping to ourselves, fighting back, being humble – none of it worked!

While “Judaism may be one of the sources from which Western society has evolved,” anti-Semitism from Western society is one of the sources from which modern Israel has evolved.

And for your additional info, identification with conservatism has much more to do with the efforts of the political right than those initiated by Jews, but should this matter, really?

Political position is now a justification for hatred? Are you telling us it’s time to “behave” ourselves to avoid our victimization? Not only are you woefully misinformed, your cheekiness is downright disgusting.
