If you sit back and defend or ignore people that are racist, bigoted, or just generally exhibit hatred for anyone not like them, you are just as guilty as they are.

When you help someone commit a crime, there is no get out of jail free card, why should someone who covers for a bigot get a free ride. They are as much to blame as the perpetrator.

Actually, there is one situation where the law gives get out of jail free cards. When a cop shoots an unarmed or legally armed civilian. In that case, all the cops that cover for the shooter, prosecutors, judges and the guilty cop get a free ride.
