My favorite part of his statement is that he said by the time Obama told them how bad it was the other lawmakers had already taken a position.

What the fuck? Can’t they change their position upon being educated about a particular bill. Plus, why did they commit to a position without understanding the bill, did they take that position before reading the bill and thinking critically about the consequences because if so, that is congressional malpractice (which I know is not really a thing like it is for lawyers or doctors, but maybe it should be.)
