All of the above were poignant in their own way, though I must say I now know why (even more) why I have a womance/girl crush on Rashida Jones, she summed up the sentiments of many women who want to be all of it. Often if we are one thing we are somehow excluded out of wanting or being or having another. It’s a total misconception of what being a woman is about. And Michelle Obama certainly paved the way further for that kind of feminism and the bravery to show it under scrutiny. Amazing bc while all strong independent women, myself included, know … It’s about accusations of being a bitch, ball buster, too outspoken, etc…and that goes double if you happen to be a black woman, then you can throw in ‘uppity’ and angry, etc…
