I am in the hotel lobby on the second floor. I have seen your picture Michelle. You are a doll. I want to meet you. I will be at Harry's Sunday. I will pay for your friends and anyone else you bring. That would include dinner at the fine restaurant downstairs.

Say the word and I will pay in advance. Surely a dance and a picture together would not be too much to ask.

Better Travel With Your Pet

Jeff Feinman, VMD, CVH

Think about how you’ll travel with your pet in your vehicle before you depart, planning ahead for safety and convenience. Ideas...

Keep the pet on a harness attached to the seat belt or in a carrying case. An animal that jumps around can be a distraction and could also be hurt in an accident or if you have to stop suddenly.

Feed animals three or four hours before departing so that they won’t start agitating for food too soon into the trip.

Bring plenty of water. The excitement and stress of a trip can make your pet thirsty.

Bring along a litter box for a cat.

Never leave your pet in the car unattended -- you may be away from the vehicle longer than you expect, or your pet could even be stolen. It’s also dangerous to leave any animal in a poorly ventilated vehicle.

interviewed Jeff Feinman, VMD, CVH, a certified veterinary homeopath in Weston, Connecticut, www.homevet.com

Mom called me and said "that black and white picture sure sparked some conversation." I said what black and white. She said "Girl you better check out today's comments."

I did and yeah it's about you today. And rightfully so. You are a sweet little morsel. If I were gay, i'd be hot for you too. What's not to like? Brains and Beauty always makes for a great combination to a woman.

Doug, I believe you when you say you are not the type to need arm candy. But I can't help but think that you take great pride in being the one she selected to make her husband.

Mom, always says that I should find a mate male or female she says she doesn't mind. She says a mind like mind should have a mate to help when it gets full of issues.

Of course, a mother thinks her daughter is special. But my mother thinks the world of you too Michelle. You are very special to her. She is arranging a meeting with Anonz and me.

How she convinced him that I can keep a secret is beyond me. She also mentioned you name to him. I don't know what the outcome was, but I will be meeting him some time after March.

The mystery man didn't say exactly when, just that it would be some time after March. Mom thinks he is the very best so, I'm psyched.

Here in England, people believe that they know who he is. It is a big topic of discussion whenever your blog comes up. That and your influence on the Islamic women of the world.

You are big among the muslim women here. They remove their head covering in honor of you. Believe me that is huge.

Oh, mom I found this and THAT is the real reason I wrote in. Oh and would you please as the girls to sign their name when they email me. I like to know who I am talking with.

Wanted: Human guinea pigs

Seniors will have a new option when it comes to the flu shot... so new, in fact, that they're still trying to figure out just how effective – or ineffective – it may be.

It's called Fluzone High-Dose, and it's aimed at people older than 65. The FDA rushed it through the approvals process, with the requirement that further studies be conducted once it's in use next year.

That means anyone who rolls up his sleeve for this vaccine may be playing the role of guinea pig – without even knowing it.

What's more, the FDA is going to let Sanofi Pasteur conduct its own research on the vaccine once it reaches the public.

Hey, you trust them, right?

This new vaccine – approved in just nine months – contains quadruple that amount of antigen as standard seasonal flu vaccines. Already, they know that this mega-dose causes a higher risk of side effects, including pain, swelling, headaches and fever.

And for what? Well, truthfully... not much.

Most people believe that once they get a flu shot, they're protected. Not true – the vaccine's effectiveness changes from year to year, and even at the best of times it only offers limited protection.

Whether you're 17 or 71, a better way to protect yourself from the flu, colds and other infections is with a healthy immune system and some common sense.

First, make sure you get enough immune system nutrients. One study found that low vitamin D levels can increase your risk of respiratory infections by 55 percent. Make sure you're getting at least 2,000 IU per day, and you can safely take twice that amount – especially if you rarely see the sun.

In addition, make sure you're getting plenty of vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, Echinacea and fish oil.

Finally, be careful when you're out in public. Many people need to use hand railings on public staircases, escalators and such – just realize that these are germ magnets. Use them if you need them, but wash your hands when you can – and definitely don't eat until you do. Avoid rubbing your eyes, nose and mouth – don't even put a piece of gum in your mouth – until you know your hands are clean.

If the virus can't get in, the virus can't make you sick. Like I said, it's just a little common sense.
+++++++++++++

Love you Mom

Did I see this on your blog. I think it is a great idea.
================================
One Light Bulb at a Time

A physics teacher in high school once told the students that while one grasshoper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much, a billion of them would. With that thought in mind, read the following, obviously written by a good American.
Good idea . . . one light bulb at a time . . . ..

Check this out . I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day for some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose attachments . They were all made in China . The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there .. They were made in USA . Start looking .

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else - even their job . So, after reading this email, I think this lady is on the right track . Let's get behind her!

My grandson likes Hershey's candy . I noticed, though, that it is marked made in Mexico now . I do not buy it any more . My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico now I have switched to Crest .. You have to read the labels on everything .

This past weekend I was at Kroger . I needed 60 W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets . I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off brand labeled, "Everyday Value . " I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats - they were the same except for the price . The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in - get ready for this - the USA in a company in Cleveland , Ohio
.
So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here .

So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets . . . yep, you guessed it, Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada . The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA ! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop buying from overseas companies!

(We should have awakened a decade ago)

Let's get with the program . . . . help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and
create more jobs here in the U . S . A ..
