Michelle,

I agree with most of what your article says. But I think it is easier for the republicans to garner such support from their constituents because they represent white males mostly. White males who will support anyone who will keep the atop of the benefit pool in the USA.

Hence the republican politician is held to a much lower standard than the democrat. It does not matter if the republican is proven to be a hypocrite, dishonest, or any other despicable thing as long as he is an avowed bigot, xenophile or someone bent on controlling the biological functions of a woman, his constituents will keep him in office.

One third of the USA is made up of avowed racists and female subversives. They are mostly white males who use politics, religion, government, and every form of propaganda available to them to gain power.

As Anonz once said the fight is for the one third that can be persuaded to join them. Unfortunately that one third is full of ignorant whites and OTWs that can be persuaded that the republican one third of the country has their and the country’s best interest at hard.

As much as I hate his control over our finances, I can understand Anonz’s position that if he stepped aside his position would be quickly filled by someone who would keep that republican party in power.

Members of my family move from one position to the other depending on the propaganda they have been moved by. Presently half are for Obama and the other have switched back to the republican party. If the job situation doesn’t get better, they will be voting republican in November.

And that my friends is a good example why, most politicians in our government and courts are lawyers and our nation is so screwed up.
