This is really important to know if you download music from the web.

DANGER! DANGER!

Searching for music online is something you would think is safe, and something you've probably even done.

But believe it or not, it's twice as risky to your computer's safety than something you might assume is more dangerous, like viewing online pornography. Doing searches, no matter how innocent they seem, can bring unwanted results that include spyware, adware and spam.

Also dangerous are searches for screen-savers, wallpapers and certain celebrities. Find out what you can do to help protect your PC when you do searches.

Late last night, the largest opposition party in Sudan (the southern based Sudanese People's Liberation Movement) announced it was withdrawing its candidate for president of Sudan from the national elections scheduled for April 11-13. The leaders of SPLM did so reportedly because they were convinced that elections were too flawed to move forward and they did not want to legitimize a process that led to the re-election of President Omar-al Bashir, the architect of the Darfur genocide.

This morning, the remaining major opposition parties (with one exception) followed suit and withdrew their candidates from the presidential ballot. Save Darfur has long said that we do not believe free and fair elections are possible in Sudan given the oppressive political environment that has preceded them. And in the last two days, the decisions by the major opposition parties to withdraw underscore that fact.

We have called on President Obama not to legitimize the results of a fraudulent poll and, now that President Bashir's challengers have determined the process is too damaged for there to be a real contest, it is more imperative than ever that President Obama rejects the results of the presidential election as fixed. Please, forward this message to your friends and family asking them to join you in urging President Obama to refuse to legitimize this genocidal regime by clicking the link below:

Thank you for standing with the people of Sudan.

Congress said it spent. $700 billion dollars to help the bailout. But it was actually 3.8 Trillion dollars from the Federal Reserve plus $700 billion from TARP.

President Bush signed this bill. He gave away 32% of the country's GNP. Obama is now trying to reign in those crooked banks and financial institutions. The republicans will be fighting to continue to give them more deregulated status.

Who are the people who support politicians that are obviously in the pocket of the financial institutions.

I've always been an acupuncture fan so this is something I am happy to share.
--------------------------------
Acupuncture can help beat depression during pregnancy

There are some pretty good reasons to avoid antidepressants: They're dangerous, and they don't work-- just to name two. But for pregnant women, there's an even bigger reason: the potential for damage to the unborn baby.

But now, pregnant women suffering from depression don't have to face that risk. According to a new study, acupuncture can help pregnant women overcome depression. No drugs, no side effects--for mom and baby alike.

In the largest study of its kind, researchers assigned 150 pregnant women with clinical depression to one of three treatments for eight weeks: acupuncture for depression, acupuncture that was not designed for depression, and massage.

The acupuncture designed for depression provided relief for 63 percent of women, versus just 44 percent for the patients getting the other treatments, according to the study published in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

There are powerful meds on the market that aren't nearly as effective. Some of them offer no relief at all--yet doctors keep dishing them out.

These drugs are bad enough for the adults who take them, even leading to suicide in some cases... but they can also do awful things to unborn babies.

One new study found that babies, especially boys, born to mothers who use antidepressants during pregnancy are more likely to face developmental delays in their first 19 months.

They have more trouble sitting up, more problems with gross motor function and shorter attention spans, according to the study in Pediatrics.

A 2004 study found babies born to mothers who used selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) meds during pregnancy were more likely to face problems like tremors, abnormal heart rhythms and troubling sleep patterns in their first days. Other studies have linked some antidepressants to an increased risk of heart defects.

Researchers say animal studies have found longer-term and even permanent damage after exposure to these meds during pregnancy... and are calling for longer-term studies in humans.

Women who fight depression during pregnancy shouldn't ignore it because they also have a higher risk for postpartum depression.

And even that can have a direct impact on the baby's health. Studies have found that babies face problems with both cognitive and emotional development when mom battles the postpartum blues.

Fortunately, you don't have to put up with the drugs OR the depression. As the latest study shows, all you really need is the ability to withstand the almost painless pinch of the acupuncture needle.
-------------------------------
Those of you who are afraid of needles should take a second look at this option of medicine.
