I’m sure they had a talk with her. It probably was no different than the one Bush had with his selections. The difference is the Left selections come with integrity.

The Bush selections were from a batch that would sell their souls for the job. Most were and still are on the take. And the core requirement that they were bigots was a given.

The Right has demonstrated that they will vote to a white man on command. The republican voting record in the Senate and the four of the five “conservative” SPC justices is all the proof one needs that they are for sell.

Doug, I understand your hesitation to accept her when in the wings is Diane Wood. And given that four of the five conservative justices are the most conservative of any judges in the history of the court, perhaps you are right to insist upon a more staunchly liberal justice.

But, my nod goes to Eileen Kagan because she is 10 years younger and therefore has a chance to be on the Court longer.
