I know you can handle the jealousy and pettiness that some on this blog throw your way.

But I want you to know that your fans are behind you.

Vinegar to Lose Weight (Lower Blood Sugar, Too)

Mark A. Stengler, NMD
La Jolla Whole Health Clinic

Vinegar has been used as a folk medicine for such things as headaches and indigestion. Now several studies reinforce its benefit for weight management and blood sugar control.

Researchers believe that it is the acetic acid in any type of vinegar (apple cider, balsamic, white or red wine) that produces this effect, interfering with enzymes involved in the digestion of carbohydrates and those that alter glucose metabolism (so that insulin does not spike).

One recent study found that mice fed a high-fat diet -- and given acetic acid -- developed up to 10% less body fat than those not given acetic acid.

Another 2007 study found that having small amounts of vinegar at bedtime seemed to reduce waking blood glucose levels in people.

More studies need to be done on vinegar, but it does seem that people can benefit from sprinkling vinegar on salads... adding a teaspoon to marinades... and adding a few drops to mustard.

For blood sugar balance (for those with diabetes or on diabetes medication) or weight loss, dilute one to two tablespoons (some people start with teaspoons) in an equal amount of water -- and drink it at the beginning of a meal.

Source: Mark A. Stengler, NMD, a naturopathic medical doctor and leading authority on the practice of alternative and integrated medicine.

Dr. Stengler is editor of the Bottom Line Natural Healing newsletter, author of The Natural Physician’s Healing Therapies (Bottom Line Books), director of the La Jolla Whole Health Clinic in La Jolla, California, and adjunct associate clinical professor at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
Hafa Adai

I'm about to go to bed. It is almost 12:30 AM here. But I am interested in how you mainlanders feel about the full body scanners you have encountered at the airport.

Full body scanners aren't on Guam yet but they're coming and soon. According to the TSA, Guam will will have two Advanced Imaging Technology scanners or full body scanners at the Guam International Airport come next year. Guam will join 68 other airports nationwide.

The installation of Guam's full body scanners is slated for the first quarter of 2011. Until then Guam will be able to see how the use of these new scanners play out in other airports across the nation.

I want to thank everyone for your concerns. I don't think my husband is gay. But he does spend an awful lot of time on my tush.

He is very fond of anal sex. And he likes me to do him there too. We have several large size strap-ons that cause him to have extremely powerful orgasms.

We have been using them for more than 10 years. Some of my girlfriends that I have shared this with say their husband like a good f**king in the rear too from time to time.

We have on occasion compared techniques and devices. They have never indicated that they thought their husbands were even a touch gay.

No, I am more worried about him finding a woman with more daring while making love to him. Sometimes he wants me to do things to him I don't have the stomach for or the strength to hit him hard enough.

Maybe, I'll take your advice Nora and sneak in and spy on them. I don't know if I have that kind of courage, yet though.

I'm actually interested in what Zen Lill would do. She has the kind of openness about relationships with men I would love to have.

Michelle, you and Doug are too perfect for me to relate to. But I am so excited about you taking the time to respond to my post that I haven't come down yet.
