Lively little discussion you have going on yesterday’s blog folks, but I think you should be posting on this one today,

    Just Saying.

  3. Claire Says:

Old Glory#1, I tried to access the link, it said that it was unplugged. Is their another link or way to see it?

  4. Old Glory Says:

Claire that sounds like a limitation with a plug in you are running. It’s just a YouTube video. I tested the link and it’s working.

  5. Claire Says:

Thanks Old Glory. I saw the link. It would be hilarious if it were so true.

What a country. That is the result of allowing the country to be ruled by white men. Nothing but hypocrisy. i

  6. Beverly Says:

I intend to do just that Michelle.

  7. Ma Says:

What’s up Zen Lill? Is everything okay?

oh yes I am fine, excellent actually, just took a day off to celebrate my birthday yesterday, thanks for asking after me, (makes me feel wanted here : )
    Luv, Zen Lill <3

  9. Ma Qin Says:

I thought you would be celebrating, I didn’t want to intrude on a lady’s special day.

  10. Ma Qin Says:

mais si cela ne vous dérange pas, je voudrais vous souhaiter un joyeux anniversaire tardive.

  11. Jacqueline Says:

Of course you are missed here Zen Lill. I’m sure many like me look forward to you insights on the topics and interest you have about the events in the world.

I trust your birth day celebration was a wonderful event.

  12. Nora Says:

Michelle, I hope this lead Hilary has doesn’t make a lot of voters who would have otherwise come out stay home.

We need the Senate and if we can get it the House to give the dems a chance to fix the shit the republicans have messed up.

  13. Christopher Says:

I want to say this to all the men who can’t wait to tell me they have said something similar to what Trump said, implying that to have talked that way about women in the past shouldn’t disqualify you for political office.

I say it should because if you were as derisive about a race, or especially if that race was ours, the white race, we would disqualify you immediately regardless of when you said something derogatory about white america.

However to you who say, “But let’s admit it, both men and women alike, we’ve all been guilty of making these comments throughout our lives.”

I say to you: Not all of us, you disgusting POS.

  14. Anonymous Says:

If there was ever a story that deserved more coverage by the news media, it’s the dark persistence of misogyny in America. Sexism in its myriad destructive forms permeates nearly every aspect of American life. For many men, it’s the true national pastime, much bigger than baseball or football.

Little attention is being paid to the toll that misogyny takes on society in general, and women and girls in particular.

  15. Anonymous Says:

Is there a double standard for women in politics?

Imagine if it were Hillary Clinton who had had five children by three husbands, who had said it was fine to refer to her daughter as a “piece of ass,” who participated in a radio conversation about oral sex in a hot tub, who rated men based on their body parts, who showed up in Playboy soft porn videos.

  16. Helena Says:

I wonder how many people know that trump said that his daughter when she was 17 made him promise not to date any girls younger than 17 and when he told the story he joked that as a result “the field is getting very limited.”

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/trump-ivanka-made-promise-not-date-younger-article-1.2813061

This is one sick bastard. Although I think it is worse that 40% of americans don’t seem to care and will still vote for him as POTUS.

  17. Donna Says:

How about, “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”

    http://classic.esquire.com/editors-notes/that-time-tom-junod-predicted-the-political-ascension-of-donald-trump/

Giving white men passes to insult women or OTWs is just fine with us white americans. We see it as the privilege of being a white american.

But for your own sake if you are not white never insult or disparage the white race or you can kiss any political ambitions you have in this country goodbye.

  18. Anguó Says:

I will leave you americans to handle your racial issues as you please, but I do take issue with the veracity of the person you choose to put before the world as your representative.

If Donald Trump were elected as your POTUS, you would have the most deceitful person imaginable acting as the “leader of the free world.”

PolitFact has stated that lies about 71% of the time he opens his mouth.
    http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/

What is wrong with you americans? As Michelle would say – “the logic escapes me.”

  19. Sao Says:

Donna#17, Oh but when the demographics change, you will be singing a different tune.

  20. Donna Says:

Sao, don’t be too certain that we will sit quietly and allow the demographics to change. Even as I speak the powers are scheming to limit OTWs from coming into this country while quietly allowing europeans and the Baltics to export as many of their people here as they wish.

Fuck spanish, learn russian, german, or any of the slavic languages. We did it when the South brought in millions of irish to counter balance all the freed slaves which outnumbered whites in the South and we will do it again.

Get use to it. America is a white man’s land. We didn’t commit near genocide of the natives here to give it up to OTWs from some place else.

  21. Owen Says:

Michelle, you see to happy to usher in the Era of “The Bitch.” If Hilary wins it will usher in a new age of public misogyny.

Obama hasn’t yet left office and his election brought hating blacks to an all time high. White men don’t take too kindly to having anyone in the white House but one of us.

We founded this nation with blood and tears, why in the hell would anyone expect us to accept some other sex or race as our POTUS?

If Hillary Clinton wins the White House in November, it will be a historic moment, the smashing of the preeminent glass ceiling in American public life. A mere 240 years after this nation’s founding, a woman will occupy its top office. America’s daughters will at last have living, breathing, pantsuit-wearing proof that they too can grow up to be president.

    ‘Who Run The World’

Triumphs and trials of women in leadership
    Read more

A Clinton victory also promises to usher in four-to-eight years of the kind of down-and-dirty public misogyny you might expect from a stag party at Roger Ailes’s house.

You know it’s coming. As hyperpartisanship, grievance politics, and garden-variety rage shift from America’s first black commander-in-chief onto its first female one, so too will the focus of political bigotry. Some of it will be driven by genuine gender grievance or discomfort among some at being led by a woman. But in plenty of other cases, slamming Hillary as a bitch, a c**t (Thanks, Scott Baio!), or a menopausal nut-job (an enduringly popular theme on Twitter) will simply be an easy-peasy shortcut for dismissing her and delegitimizing her presidency.

  22. Felicia Says:

Raw political sexism is already strutting its stuff. At Donald Trump’s coming-out party in Cleveland, vendors stood outside the Quicken Loans Arena hawking campaign buttons with whimsical messages, such as “Life’s a Bitch—don’t vote for one” and “KFC Hillary Special: Two fat thighs, two small breasts… left wing.” One popular T-shirt featured a grinning Trump piloting a Harley, grinning as Hillary tumbled off the bike so that you could read the back of Trump’s shirt: “IF YOU CAN READ THIS, THE BITCH FELL OFF.”

Just as white men did with Obama they will have no problem vilifying Hilary and saying the most misogynistic things imaginable.

  23. Sam Says:

The idea that she’s a woman (arguably) is novel, but other than that she’s a typical lying, thieving, sack of excrement politician. Handle with caution. Do not trust and verify.

  24. William Says:

    Trump will win it all.

  25. Tom Says:

Sam#23, I think I would replace the word ‘typical’ with exceptional. She is really good at lying and thieving.

  26. Emerson Says:

Michelle, your choice of topic proves there is no legitimate media in our country. it’s all just neoliberal propaganda.

  27. Travis Says:

Ah, Breitbart, who once had some independent integrity but lost their soul becoming Trumpfbart under Bannon in a pay-for-play deal.

They all lack integrity now. Trump has managed to screw the entire conservative media and exposed the cheerleading chumps as the flipside of the CNN (Clinton News Network) cheerleaders.

  28. Jay Says:

Fuck you Michelle and the rest of you liberal trash. White men who love liberty love Trump as do anyone else that wants to be free from tyranny.

  29. Matt Says:

Jay#28, There hasn’t been any tyranny yet….elect the Donald and there will be.

  30. Regis Says:

Matt#29, Are you blind? The IRS audits anyone who speak out or might speak out against Obama, many churches Ministers/Preist will not speak out against Obama or Hillary for fear of the IRS. Our justice department will not prosecute Hillary or her friends, but will prosecute anyone on the Right. Small business are driven out of business …. It is like the 1930′s when FDR attacked any Senator that did not support him 100%. Donald would have a hard time doing that. Democrats let Hillary and Obama do anything, a Republcian Senate would not permit a Republican President to get away with such action. Republicans impeach Republicans, Democrats do to, but not other Democrats….

  31. Joey Says:

Regis#30, that is the problem with a race that has used violence to exert their will over others. They delude themselves with made up stats that tell them they are mentally or otherwise superior to the people they are committing genocide against.

Everybody but them are savages. They are the civilized beings. As Michelle would say the logic escapes me as to why committing genocide is a civilized act.

So true is your bullshit about IRS audits. “The IRS audits anyone who speak out or might speak out against Obama, many churches Ministers/Preist will not speak out against Obama or Hillary for fear of the IRS.”

this is demonstrably false. the i.r.s. regulates more than a million nonprofits that are supposed to avoid political endorsements, and from 2010 to 2015 it initiated a total of 26 audits of them. see https://www.publicintegrity.or

  32. Zen Lill Says:

MaQin # 9 & 10 merci fr remembering, mon ami

    # 11 Jacqueline thank you for the kind words and yes indeed it was a champagne event, totally enjoyed that and the great food and company.

Wow I’m noticing the sides really heating up, the friends I know unfriending each other over this presidential race…ill tell you though, no maters now staunchly you want to hold your party line you know in your heart of hearts he is not the most qualified not in the least, you’re blinded by your hatred of politicians (& I understand), by misogyny (please get over it, women are here to stay and so are you, calm your mother and Blame her for your existence), by fear (the clinging to the way ‘it’s always been’ and that sounds old and tired) and face it … We’re gonna have a new SHEriff in town.

and I’ve said it without retreat or remorse before, I’m not in luv with her but he’s just not fit fr the seat and the world (and all of us), unfortunately will not be able to unsee this past 18 months *smh*

Looks like I was right when I was just a teen kid and talked about the inevitable dumbing down of America. Yup. That day arrived.

Oh and groan I saw a woman (on social media) wearing a tshirt that said, “trump can grab this *****” with an arrow pointing down, wtf?! Sad sad sad …

Here a link to an interactive map showing how the election is shaping up if anyone is truly interested. Currently Clinton is leading by8. There are a whole lot of undecideds – which I find personally disappointing. One candidate is pure evil and a disgrace to all Americans and the other is not.
