Helena: How are you? Thank you for your well thought out comments. Sadly you are correct, and I agree with you. And counting on that one third to join them may not be a very difficult thing because that one third, like the republican one third, is so dying to be part of that 4%.

‘Persuaded’ is the key word here. The republicans not only ‘persuade’ them that the Republican one third of the country has their and the country’s best interest at (sic) hand, but they get them to dream too. Get them to dream…put promise in their little heads, that  they too will attain riches and the lifestyle that they covet. And they will continue to follow the republicans, and act and do whatever it takes to make it to that 4% club. And as we know…all at the expense of the American people.

And I agree too, I hate the control. My finances are affected too like so many others.  But I don’t disagree with Anonz’s actions either. If I were in Anonz’s position, I too would do what he is doing or someone else will step in. That is a fact. But as Anonz has pointed out  on my blog,  “Most of you allow us to continue without having to pay our fair share of taxes because you think that one day you will be part of our group. Here’s a fact. You will NEVER be in my economic class.”

So there you have it for those of you desiring it: “Dream on. It isn’t going to happen.” Look around. Your greed is driving the country into shambles, and I bet you’re not any wealthier, are you? The top 4% are laughing all the way to the bank…with your money…literally.

Anonz made this comment awhile ago: “Obama needs to take a more aggressive action and authorize the surreptitious extinction of such traitors. The one thing those greedy bastards fear more than losing an opportunity to make money is losing their lives. Do It Obama.”

Whether he’s talking about terrorists or the terrorists that are in our own government, doesn’t really matter. My point being, lives are being lost daily because of the lack of health care. But those that oppose don’t care. So…Why shouldn’t the greedy bastards be in fear of losing their lives too.

And since I’m on the subject, and on a roll this morning, I decided to re-read some of the comments that Anonz has made in regards to the state of the world and what we,  the American people, can do about it.

I’m sure Anonz won’t mind if I post the rest of what he said that day on my blog. The things that I fight for here…for others, I fight for myself too.  I think we all need to read his words again and feel the impact of them. Our world situation is dire. November is nearing.

How inane are you people?

You support the party and people who make all this happen while screaming at us who benefit from the actions of those people.

I am not the problem.

You are.

If I die tomorrow, someone else will move in to fill the vacuum. You will still be part of that 96% who own shit in this country.

AH, while I respect your wisdom and financial insight, the fact is you are out of touch with present day reality. The people of America today are so into themselves that they could care less about the health needs of their fellow americans as long as they have health care for themselves and theirs.

The insurance and pharmaceutical industries count on that greed and selfishness to enable them to stay in power. I refuse to align myself with losers. If there is a pot to be split up, I will always be there to demand my share.

My advice to the people – stand for something other than your own aggrandizement.

If you support politicians who support the general welfare of ALL the people, you will get your fair share. If you continue to support the politicians who support only your special interest, you will continue to get people in office who will say anything to get your support and then sell out to the highest bidder,

If that winning bidder turns out to be me, don’t hate me, hate the person responsible for putting a person before me who could be bought, that would be your selfish, self-centered, racist, bigoted asses.

As that great black poet said “hate the game not the player.”

I hate the game. I hate hearing it so bluntly, but I appreciate his directness.  What Anonz says is true and needs to be expressed the way he said it. And sometimes as difficult as the truth is, we need to hear it, again, and again, and again, for it to sink in…for us to wake up and do something.

If everyone just thought outside of themselves, we could do something amazing. I know…hard to imagine…but I can still hope can’t I? I can still give my two in hopes that some of you out there will feel as passionate as I do about changing the system, by taking the present one on.

Thanks Helena for inspiring my write this morning. I hope that you show your family my write and they will continue to support Obama.

And since this is Sunday, my usual day for ‘just noticing’….I thought these were appropriate for today:

• ‘Just noticing’…that many people tend to only fight for their own needs, for their own aggrandizement, and could care less about the rest of the country.

Good morning. There are so many issues of importance on the table, that I would need to blog at least a few times a day just to cover all of them. Thankfully I can rely on you, my readers, to talk about what I can’t seem to cover on a daily basis without ‘living’ on my blog. Something I wish I could do but unfortunately I can’t.

The jobs bill passing, health care still in the works, millions foreclosing on their homes, banks not lending…etc.etc…Our country is definitely challenged and we need to keep pushing and working towards what matters to us.

I received this request from our president. I know that we’re all getting pretty pooped out in regards to passing health care, but we’re getting towards the end and again, we can’t stop now. Now is crucial.

Last Thursday’s first-of-its-kind summit capped off a debate that has lasted nearly a year. Every idea has now been put on the table. Every argument has been made. Both parties agree that the status quo is unacceptable and gets more dire each day. Today, I want to state as clearly and forcefully as I know how: Now is the time to make a decision about the future of health care in America.

The final proposal I’ve put forward draws on the best ideas from all sides, including several put forward by Republicans at last week’s summit. It will put Americans in charge of their own health care, ensuring that neither government norinsurance company bureaucrats can ration, deny, or put out of financial reach the care our families need and deserve.

I strongly believe that Congress now owes the American people a final vote on health care reform. Reform has already passed the House with bipartisan support and the Senate with a super-majority of sixty votes. Now it deserves the same kind of up-or-down vote that has been routinely used and has passed such landmark measures as welfare reform and both Bush tax cuts.

Earlier today, I asked leaders in both houses of Congress to finish their work and schedule a vote in the next few weeks. From now until then, I will do everything in my power to make the case for reform. And now, I’m asking you, the members of the Organizing for America community, to raise your voice and do the same.

And just this morning I got a e-mail from Michael Moore who wrote a letter to Obama saying that he will work for $1 a year and replace Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff. I like the letter he put out. I wasn’t planning on reprinting the entire letter but as I read it, I felt the need to.

Michael, as usual, throws in his sarcastic humor. I relate to sarcastic humor, as it can be my M.O. too when I am upset at the way things are going in the world, in my life, etc.  But he also makes some good strong points and observations. It’s a long one so brace yourselves…although I think it is worthy of your time.

Dear President Obama,

I understand you may be looking to replace Rahm Emanuel as your chief of staff.

I would like to humbly offer myself, yours truly, as his replacement.

I will come to D.C. and clean up the mess that’s been created around you. I will work for $1 a year. I will help the Dems on Capitol Hill find their spines and I will teach them how to nonviolently beat the Republicans to a pulp.

And I will help you get done what the American people sent you there to do. I don’t need much, just a cot in the White House basement will do.

Now, don’t get too giddy with excitement over my offer, because you and I are going to be up at 5 in the morning, 7 days a week and I am going to get you pumped up for battle every single day (see photo). Each morning you and I will do 100 jumping jacks and you will repeat after me:

“THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ELECTED ME, NOT THE REPUBLICANS, TO RUN THE COUNTRY! I AM IN CHARGE! I WILL ORDER ALL OBSTRUCTIONISTS OUTTA MY WAY! IF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DON’T LIKE WHAT I’M DOING THEY CAN THROW MY ASS OUT IN 2012. IN THE MEANTIME, I CALL THE SHOTS ON THEIR BEHALF! NOW, CONGRESS, DROP AND GIVE ME 50!!”

Then we will put on our jogging sweats and run up to Capitol Hill. We will take names, kick butts, and then take some more names. If we have to give a few noogies or half-nelson’s, then so be it. In our pockets we will have a piece of paper to show the pansy Dems just how much they won by in 2008 — and the poll results that show the majority of Americans oppose the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and want the bankers punished. Like drill sergeants, we will get right up in their faces and ask them, “WHAT PART OF THE PUBLIC MANDATE DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND, SOLDIER?!! DROP AND GIVE ME 50!”

I know this is the job Rahm Emanuel was supposed to be doing.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I have always admired Rahm Emanuel (if you don’t count his getting NAFTA pushed through Congress in the ’90s which destroyed towns like Flint, Michigan. I know, picky-picky.). He is what we needed for a long time — a no-apologies, take-no-prisoners fighting machine. Someone who is not afraid to get his hands dirty and pound the right wing into submission. Far from being the foul-mouthed bully he has been portrayed as, Rahm is the one who BEAT UP the bullies to protect us from them.

That’s certainly what he did in 2006. After six long, miserable years of the middle-class getting slaughtered and the poor being flushed down the toilet, Rahm Emanuel took on the job of returning Congress to the Democrats. No one believed it could be done.

But he did it. Big time. He put the fear of God into the party of Rush and Newt. They had never been so scared. More importantly, though, he instilled a sense of hope in the Democrats that they could actually score the mother of all hat tricks in 2008 — and with you, an African American no less, in the pole position!

It worked. The Darkness ended. The vast majority of nation wept with joy on the night of the election (those who weren’t weeping went out and bought a record number of guns and ammo). Unlike the last president, you didn’t “win” by 537 votes in Florida (although Gore won the popular vote by a half-million), you beat McCain nationally by 9,522,083 votes! The House Democrats got a walloping 79-vote margin. The Senate Dems would caucus with a supermajority of 60 votes unheard of in over 30 years. The wars would now end. America would have universal health care. Wall Street and the banks would, at the very least, be reined in. Hardworking citizens would not be thrown out of their homes. It was supposed to be the dawning of a new age.

But the Republicans were not going to go quietly into the night. You see, instead of having just one Rahm Emanuel, they are ALL Rahm Emanuels. That’s why they usually win. Unlike most Democrats, they are relentless and unstoppable. When they believe in something (which is usually themselves and the K Street job they hope to be rewarded with someday), they’ll fight for it till the death. They are loyal to a fault to each other (they were never able to denounce Bush, even though they knew he was destroying the party). They dig their heels in deep no matter what. If you exiled them to a lone chunk of melting polar ice cap, they would keep insisting that it was just a normal “January thaw,” even as the frigid Arctic waters rose above their God-fearing necks (“See what I mean — this water is COLD! What ‘global *warming*’?! Adam and Eve rode dinos…aagghh!!… gulp gulp gulp”).

We thought we were all done with this craziness, but we were mistaken. Like a beast that you just can’t cage, the Republicans convinced not only the media, but YOU and your fellow Dems, that 59 votes was a *minority*! Precious time was lost trying to reach a “consensus” and trying to be “bipartisan.”

Well, you and the Democrats have been in charge now for over a year and not one banking regulation has been reinstated. We don’t have universal health care. The war in Afghanistan has escalated. And tens of thousands of Americans continue to lose their jobs and be thrown out of their homes. For most of us, it’s just simply no longer good enough that Bush is gone. Woo hoo. Bush is gone. Yippee. That hasn’t created one new friggin’ job.

You’re such a good guy, Mr. President. You came to Washington with your hand extended to the Republicans and they just chopped it off. You wanted to be respectful and they decided that they were going to say “no” to everything you suggested. Yet, you kept on saying you still believed in bipartisanship.

Well, if you really want bipartisanship, just go ahead and let the Republicans win in November. Then you’ll get all the bipartisanship you want.

Let me be clear about one thing: The Democrats on Election Day 2010 are going to get an ass-whoopin’ of biblical proportions if things don’t change right now. And after the new Republican majority takes over, they, along with a few conservative Democrats in Congress, will get to bipartisanly impeach you for being a socialist and a citizen of Kenya. How nice to see both sides of the aisle working together again!

And the brief window we had to fix this country will be gone.

Gone.

Gone, baby, gone.

I don’t know what your team has been up to, but they haven’t served you well. And Rahm, poor Rahm, has turned into a fighter — not of Republicans, but of the left. He called those of us who want universal health care “f***ing retarded.” Look, I don’t know if Rahm is the problem or if it’s Gibbs or Axelrod or any of the other great people we owe a debt of thanks to for getting you elected. All I know is that whatever is fueling your White House it’s now running on fumes. Time to shake things up! Time to bring me in to get you pumped up every morning! Go Barack! Yay Obama! Fight, Team, Fight!

I’m packed and ready to come to D.C. tomorrow. If it helps, you won’t really be losing Rahm entirely because I’ll be bringing his brother with me — my agent, Ari Emanuel. Man, you should see HIM negotiate a deal! Have you ever wanted to see Mitch McConnell walking around Capitol Hill carrying his own head in his hands after it’s just been handed to him by the infamous Ari? Oh, baby, it won’t be pretty — but boy will it be sweet!

What say you, Barack? Me and you against the world! Yes we can! It’ll be fun — and we may just get something done. Whaddaya got to lose? Hope?

So, it looks like Chris Matthews isn’t so popular on my blog these days. What happened to him? I used to think he had it going pretty good, but I agree with you all; his true colors are showing.

Speaking of true colors….did you hear the latest hypocritical piece? It seems State Sen. Roy Ashburn, a ‘Republican’, was pulled over and arrested for drunk driving. And just where was he lapping up libation? Well…sources say he was leaving a gay bar. No big deal right? I like to go to gay bars.

Wrong. This man, like so many others who is a fierce opponent to gay rights…is actually a closet gay himself, or at least has gay tendencies that need to be addressed. He left the gay bar that night drunk, and with an unidentified man in the passenger seat of his car. Looks like the ‘tendencies’ that he tried so hard to oppress, just had to be expressed and addressed, that evening.

Same old story….those that fiercely oppose gay rights are nothing more than gay themselves; men trying to mask their true identity by wearing the macho masculine face and promoting traditional masculinity as the only way to be. As if being gay is a choice.

And once again, a false apology that never would have been spoken had he not ‘gotten caught’: “I am deeply sorry for my actions and offer no excuse for my poor judgment. I accept complete responsibility for my conduct and am prepared to accept the consequences for what I did. I am also truly sorry for the impact this incident will have on those who support and trust me – my family, my constituents, my friends, and my colleagues in the Senate.”

‘Poor judgement’ my ass. Or should I say your ass? After all, it was your ass Sen. Ashburn, that was hoping to get some. It was not ‘poor judgement’ – you wanted some action, plain and simple. You’re just sorry you got caught. That’s what happens when you suppress feelings for a long time. Hence the saying: “What you resist, persists”. And what persists has power, and it comes out in ways that are not necessarily respectful or considerate of others.

I look forward to a day when one of these politicians will be honest and just say it like it is:

“I am not sorry for what I have done; I have been suppressing my sexual feelings for too long now, and I needed to honor the man I truly am. However, I am sorry for how I went about honoring my feelings as I was thoughtless and inconsiderate of others.”

“I am sorry to my wife and family for not being honest with them in the first place and telling them that I am gay.  (Or that I was having feelings for other men) And I am equally as sorry to all of the gay people out there for opposing gay rights when I myself have not been honoring my own sexuality. I hope that you will forgive me and accept an apology for my hypocritical actions.”

You know something like that, and hopefully better said than my words. Something that makes him human, instead of the typical caned apologetic speech that he gave; that every man gives when he’s busted. A ‘Republican’ who actually admits that he is an ‘hypocrite’ – now that would make the news. C’mon Ashburn, this was your opportunity to man up and be a better example than those of the past. Too bad…you missed your chance.

Michael Moore: There’s Going to be a Second Crash (And Glenn Beck Can F–k Off)

We interviewed Michael Moore on The Young Turks today and he was not shy about sharing his opinions. Anyone surprised? He had very strong words for the Democratic Party, the state of our political system and Glenn Beck.

What he thinks of Democrats and Republicans:

You know, I tell you, these Democrats are disgusting. Wimps and wusses and weasels. You know, get some spine. This is why I have to admire the Republicans. They at least stand for something. They at least have the courage of their convictions. They get elected to office, they come into town, and they go “Get outta my way, there’s a new sheriff in town. This is the way we’re doing things. Get outta here.” And then they do it. You know. I mean what they do is crazy. But dammit, they are good at it. We should take a page out of their book.

Can we fix the broken political and economic system in America?

It’s not going to get fixed. There’s going to be another crash. The commercial real estate bubble hasn’t burst yet. That’s going to burst. There’s one thing you know about Michael Moore, he’s going to come strong. Unfortunately, I share his pessimism about the system. But I believe there is hope at the end of that tunnel. And as corny as it sounds, that hope is with the American people. We have to stop letting corporate interests buy our politicians and government officials. Make a change.

Readers: I haven’t used the word ‘F**k’ on my blog for quite some time but I do love the way the word rolls off my tongue. And I can understand Michael Moore’s usage here, and his observation that the Dems can be spineless – they can and are… (When will the Democrats get some backbone and balls that hang together?) …just as well as we know the repugs can be….well repugnant. Repugnants hang together no matter what, even though they are the most hypocritical bunch.

And as Anonymous pointed out yesterday, “…can get away with their hypocrisy is that the news people never ask them to account for their lies.” Bunning: He’s the face of hypocrisy these days. All I can say to you is stop watching Chris Matthews – I used to like him but he’s ‘turned’. Tune in with Rachel Maddow- now she’s got the balls to call ‘em out and expose their hypocritical ways.
