Obama Has A Plan….Give Him A Chance

Hi DNSR!: Good to hear from you again. Recession zin? Pray tell, what is that? :) I have heard about these orphanages and I am grateful for them. These elephants need protection and family. Thanks for commenting. Now…what else can you report? Especially about the LTTE…I and inquiring readers such as Shelia want to know.
Lance: Funny you should mention Viviane Castro – I saw the photo of her with Obama on her thigh – very cool. And if I were Michelle Obama, I wouldn’t worry for a minute about a stained dress showing up in the white house. He is definitely not a Clinton.
Anna: I read the article that you posted, along with your comments. I really do not know much about the history of Guam except that it is a US territory, ceded to the U.S. by Spain. No wonder you/they feel as you do. Your comment peaked my interest. Hmm…Perhaps I feel an article brewing. Anyway, good luck in the pageant! Keep us updated.
Miki: I NEVER take a day off. I am always here. You say, ‘No way to treat the troops.’ Hmm…exactly what are you saying? As far as the naysayers: They don’t bother me – it makes the banter interesting. But you are correct – they must find something interesting here or they wouldn’t keep coming back. You say you love my blog – maybe they do too.
Robert: Nice to see that I am not the only one requesting that the ‘anons’ pick a name. If I was going to be anonymous, it is much more fun to have a name than just be an anonymous anonymous. :) We’ll see if anyone takes your advice. If not, we’ll live with it.
As far as the rest of your comment, I agree, if even half the stuff Anonz has told us was true, we had better get in the game.
Aybak: I agree with you. Men are especially attuned to their own needs. Whereas women are inherent care givers. I appreciate the differences between men and women and what they bring to the table. What I don’t like is when actions from either sex have an affect on my livelihood or the livelihood of others. Other than that, live and let live.
And you raise a very valid question. The ‘Do unto others…’ always comes to mind with questions like this. It is a simple mantra but one that not many pay attention to.
Zen Lill: I got your phone message too. I think I will be available late afternoon on Wednesday. I look forward to reading your draft or collaborating one with you. Good luck with the new job! How did the open go yesterday?
Cleo, Brooke, Linda & Frank and anonymous ( yes all 3 of you): And I will add: Do not bank with Chase either. They totally screwed me with escalating rates and at that time I had excellent credit. And yes it’s true, if you have good credit and pay monthly, on time, you will be in good standing, and the rates most likely will not go up. But the moment you screw up, they hit you with the late charges, and ridiculously increased rates. Some people are just not responsible and pay late, or miss monthly payments consistently. They deserve to have their rates increased. But the ones who are truly responsible and have made payments on time and their credit is in good standing, should be given a break. Shit happens some times. And in these time a lot of shit is happening.
I do know that the best thing to do is communicate with them immediately, the moment you are aware that you may have trouble making a payment. Whenever I have screwed up I have been able to have the late charges removed. But again, I make a call and when they see that I have a good record, they usually work with me. Unfortunately this is not true for all banks. I have dealt with ones who won’t budge at all. The present is like nothing we have dealt with before.
I don’t know about all of the credit cards that you all have, but mine have given me 1 month to 3 months to either close my accounts or accept their new rates. Luckily, I have pretty good credit – not excellent like I used to, but who does anymore? So when I got letters these letters telling me that my rates were going to be raised unless I locked in the current rate by closing them, I of course closed them. But I am with you, CUT YOUR CARDS UP! I don’t use mine anymore. I am just paying them off. I can promise, that if I ever use a card again, I am paying it off monthly or else I will not use it. The funny thing is, we used our cards to help our businesses grow, not for frivolous desires. As I look back, part of me wishes we did use them for fun – at least we would have great memories. :)
Doug said to me the other day, ‘Why don’t we all just stop paying on our credit cards?’ – And he meant EVERYONE. These banks are getting bailed out and we the taxpayers are the ones who are going to have to pay for it, not to mention the late charges, and high interest rates. Could we have an impact with the banks it we all refused to make one more payment on our credit cards?
AH: Good to hear from you again. What you say about the banks makes so much sense. But I still ask, ‘Why do the banks continue to be so greedy with us, the credit card holders, the taxpayers, the ones that that are bailing them out? Are they not taking enough from us already? I ask this rhetorically as I know the answer, but it still continues to baffle me that the greed does not end…that the greed is literally bankrupting our country.
I believe that President Obama has a plan too and I totally back him. We voted him in and I trust he has our best interest at heart. I read and hear that many do not agree with his plan, but I too agree that we must give him a chance. He is the first president that has set out and is doing what he promised he would do. He is setting a new precedent on so many different levels. I have faith that he will clean house.
Got to run.
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle
