Sunday Morning Post

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 15th February 2009

Goood Morning!

I hope that you gave some good lovin’ yesterday….and got some too. I sure did :) I can see that we had a few poems posted.  We have some talented poets out there. Even one from my Doug. How lovely.  I just love reading about love.  The romantic inside me just loves receiving poems, especially ones written just for me - Thank you. But c’mon – What girl wouldn’t?

So, I slept in late. And….so of course I am posting this late. And being that it is late and it is Sunday, a day for rest and reflection, (I just made that up:)  that is exactly what I am going to do. However first I wanted to say hello to those that commented the other day.

Perry:  Maybe it was not obvious from Madaline’s comment the other day:

Failure to observe admonition could result in further loss of satellites attempting observation or interception”

But I suspect that the US and Russian  satellites that collided did not actually collide. I mean think about it logically. Two satellites and all of that room up there in space and they just happen to run into each other and collide. What are the odds?  My guess is that something else happened up there and a skirmish occured resulting in destruction of the satellites. It’s just an instinct. If Madaline is able to confirm, she will, because I am sure she doesn’t care if our government knows we know or not.

Madaline:  Can you confirm this?

Zen Lill: Hello.  How are you? I got your message and I will call you later today.  I hope that we do hear from Azza soon.  Miss her. And yes, I did see the Durex ‘recruitment’. I just love that video and can’t stop watching it.

Robert: I assure you, I do not know why you could only get in under Anonz, but it looks like you finally did. I also assure you that I have no idea why your poem is changing (?). Strange….

DNSR!:  I’m happy that you found a ‘safe area’ and I totally understand your prudent precautions.  I followed your link and I too am so touched by the words of Lasantha Wickramatunga.  I realize that the more I learn about this world the more that I find out that war is everywhere and happening all of the time. This is not  news that I take lightly. I don’t mean to put you off. I have more to say and I feel an inspiration rising that I will reserve for another day.

Oh, one last thing….The General info post on yesterday’s post….well worth the read just in case you decided to skip it.

Peace out…

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

Happy Birthday Mr. President!

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 12th February 2009

Good morning.

So it seems the topic of yesterday swung to the stimulus side, no surprise. And surprise, I don’t feel like talking about it.

I have a few things to say today but right now I want to honor Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.  He would be 200 years old if he were alive today.  Obama seems to hold a special place for Lincoln; he borrows quotes every so often from his inspiring mindful, soulful, heartfelt speeches. It is written that ‘no other president possessed such compelling literary power and grace.’  Well maybe not until now. :)

Speaking of….I wonder if Adam and AH are gonna go back in time and party with the birthday boy, or will they surprise Lincoln and pull him to party in the present?  Oh…wouldn’t it be just delightful if he blogged a few words. Adam, I’m sure you could make that happen if you are reading this.

Anyway…

Happy Birthday Mr. President!

Zen Lill: I was just thinking that the other day. I must do more; writing about it is not enough. I have to Brainstorm but right now my mind is too full this morning with ‘stuff’ to say much more about it. You and I seriously need to talk. How I wish you lived here so we could just go meet for coffee.

Gina: No disrespect  to you but I simply can not order Madaline to kill at will for you or anyone else…especially over money.  I’m sorry but you are going to need to figure this one out yourself.

What else?  Oh yeah, my girlfriend Domi sent this to me the other day. Just for fun I thought I would post it:

George was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business.  When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a wife with which to share his fortune.

One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

Her natural beauty took his breath away.

“I may look like just an ordinary man,” he said to her, “but in just a few years, my father will die, and I’ll inherit $65 million.”

Impressed, the woman obtained his business card and three days later, she became his stepmother.

Women are so much better at financial planning than men.

Oh ya got that right.  Speaking of George…

George:  I really don’t have much more to say to men like you that I haven’t said already. FYI: Honor is something that is earned, not just freely given. Secondly, I never made an oath to ‘obey’ my husband. That was not part of my vows.

As far as walking behind my man – Get real! Here’s me walking all right, but not behind my man – This is me turning my back and proudly walking away from your BS. Get used to it! You may be following my ass but I certainly won’t be following yours, or any man for that matter. PS: You’d be lucky if any woman chose to walk by your side, but with an attitude like yours, don’t count on it.

Readers: As always, if you have something to say, say it here. Blog me.

The Stolen Lives Of Little Women

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 11th February 2009

Hello Taloquan:  Good to hear from you, and I’m delighted that you were finally able to post a comment.  And thank you for turning your sister onto my blog. I read the article that you posted and I found it very interesting and inspiring. Thank you for sharing. What surprised me the most was the following statement:

“The Muslim world population is 1.4 billion people. By the middle of the century, one out of four people will be Muslim. … [There are] 57 Muslim countries today. Think of the number,” Ahmed said. “America — as a superpower, as a world leader — needs to be able to interact in a positive way with one-fourth of the world’s population.”

I hope that for the rest of your time here you will also love it,  and that America lives up to your expectations as a world leader.  There are fair people but as you know we have a long way to go as a society.  I love your optimism and I am hopeful too.

Domi! It is such a delight to see a comment from you. (Readers: Domi and I have know each other….well I was going to list the years but instead I will just say, since our early high school years, and she is a dear friend. And the most fun – she always has me laughing :) It is such a rarity that I get a comment from an old pal. I know that you read and I appreciate you chiming in. I hope that you’ll hang around for awhile and comment again.

Hey Zen Lill:  Yes, wouldn’t it be great if all of those ‘white is right’ers ( love that term) could just be popped into another body, OTW of course, and see how it is to live with racism and such? How enlightening that would be. Of course they might loathe themselves so much that they would commit suicide. Hmm….we might be onto something…..Oh I am bad, so bad. Spank me.

Cyndi: I was hoping that we would get a response from Taloquan in regards to your question. I read that article just yesterday too and it was so disturbing.  I had a  challenging day myself yesterday but when I read this, I realized once again, that my challenges are nothing compared to the lives of so many women, muslim and other, and what they endure on a daily basis.

And it all starts at a very young age.

Zaranj: Thank you for writing in. I know how difficult it is for women like you to write in knowing the repercussions should you be discovered. I just saw that video of the young girl, 8 years old, who was forced to marry a 47 year old man. I am posting it below so that my readers can view it too.

Readers: As shocking as it may seem, it is legal for girls to marry as young as age 10.  These are just young girls forced to grow up way too quickly and take on a life that they don’t desire, to put it mildly. What does it say about a man, who wants to marry a child? What does it say about a father who is willing to give up his young daughter knowing what her future holds?  I agree with Zaranj. They are sick pedophiles who use religion to satisfy their disgusting sexual needs.

These women really have no voice and the young girls certainly don’t. At a very young age, an age where children are so impressionable, the young girls learn that they have no say in their own lives; they have no choices. The young boys learn that they can do anything they please. They see how their fathers treat their sisters and mothers etc. and they develop the same behavior patterns. The young girls are basically sex slaves to the men and then they grow up and have such horrific experiences such as the story that Cyndi posted. Am I wrong?

Zaranj: I think about the women in this world daily. I know that thinking doesn’t do much for you. I try to enlighten my readers as I become enlightened myself. I am torn about how to handle your request and the requests of so many others like you.

Doug: You surprise me….nothing to add?! :)

Barbara:  You’re welcome. As always I wish that I was writing on subjects that were more pleasurable, but unfortunately that is the way that it is on this planet.  I can stick my head in the sand and pop up only to see the good but what good would that do? I did that for many years but the shit will still float to the surface whether I choose to see it or not. I choose to so that I can be of service in any way that I can.

In regards to your white girlfriends, why not bring it up yourself? Maybe they want to talk about it but they just don’t don’t know what to say. Maybe when the topic is about women they can feel a camaraderie, but when the subject is about something they can’t relate to, maybe they feel in adequate and at a loss for words. Maybe they have no idea how much it hurts you. How about taking a risk? it sounds like you have a great support of women in your office. I’m sure that if they knew your feelings they would respond to your needs. I hope that I am right.

Carl:  I hear ya and I hope for that too.

Readers: I wanted to discuss the Stimulus topic, but this morning was not the time.  I am sure it will be discussed again on my blog, but feel free to chat amongst yourselves on this or the above.  I need to go.

Peace out and always….

‘Do Unto Others…’

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 10th February 2009

Thomas: I don’t know why I even continue to bother  writing you and others like you. No matter what I say you will still be the racist person that you are. You are the sociopath that anonz describes. But as always, I can’t keep my mouth shut when it comes to people and expressing myself.

You are a  white man Thomas, yes? A white man who has the best life one could have on this planet. The most privileged of all walking life.  How inhuman you are to even question why I devote so much time on ‘what happens to a few niggers’. It is the same reason why I am so devoted to what happens to the environment and the animals.  I will answer you because it is part of my devotion to help those that are not  as fortunate as myself, and because of their skin color are discriminated daily by people such as yourself. I will answer because you are probably one of those who when he gets pissy at someone, he kicks his dog just because. Yes, actions of a sociopath.

Do you not know that statistically a high percentage of the black men in jail shouldn’t be there. Is that fair? No. Did you know that many of them do not get a decent trail and are convicted without sound evidence? Probably not. Or are you aware of how many of them are blackmailed for a crime that they didn’t do but a white man did? I suppose you don’t. Why do I ask these questions? Because the whites want to keep this country white and the cops want to keep their crime solve ratings high so that they look good in the eyes of the public.  They want to keep the white in power and the blacks in jail.  Not to mention the rest of the OTW’s.

Do you know how much faster the heart rate beats of a black person’s heart compared to a white man’s heart when he is stopped by an officer? I bet you don’t, and you never will. And more importantly you just don’t care.  Well I do.  People must support and stick up for others when others are being unjust and trying to keep them down.

And yes, America is in a free fall.  – what are you going to do about it beside trying to keep those that have always been in a free fall, continue to fall? Your anger is misdirected and racist. You are uninformed and excuse me if I may say so, stupid too. It is people like you, who got us in this mess.  Let me enlighten you. It was the white man that put us in this position not the black man. So when you have one finger pointing out, look and see how many fingers are pointing back at you. Why bother repeating what has already been well said. Read Anonz’s comment yesterday. It is directed at people such as yourself.

If I look at the world globally, we are all experiencing the hard times but maybe in the US we really need to. I don’t like to use the term ‘wake-up call’ because it is so overused. But, it works. Maybe we need to feel on a deeper level so that we can understand what it is like to struggle on a daily basis like so many others on this planet. We have been blessed and now we are trying to climb out of this mess. But think of those that have been struggling and crawling for their entire lives. Think of those who are not fortunate to live in America, the land of opportunity….those that struggle  just to survive life. Just to make it through another day with food in their empty stomachs and hopefully empty of unwanted dick in-between their legs. I’m speaking of rape here in case you didn’t figure that out.

I don’t know how I’m going to turn this sickening behavior around but I will go to my grave in support of those that are treated unfairly. I will always give my opinion and as harshly as it is delivered to me, my answer will match it. I have always believed in an eye for an eye; that is just how passionate I am.  It is the same as the phrase…’Do unto others….’ Unfortunately, for those cruel many, it means that they will get exactly what they have dished out…so be careful of what you do unto others. I know  it sounds cruel and barbaric  – I was once told by a close family member that I was, but I can’t help it. Cruel actions deserve cruel reactions. One should think about what one is doing before one sets out to harm another being. A cruel person thinks nothing of brutally harming another, but when that harm is inflicted upon himself, he is the first begging for mercy. How quickly he forgets that he harmed so cruelly. How quickly he forgets…. I have no compassion for such cowardly men.

Hmm…Well I thought I was done a few paragraphs ago but obviously I had more to say.

Anonz: More power to you. If I were in your position, I would be doing the same. “If anyone’s going to have all the power…”

10:03:

I got so wrapped up earlier that I forgot to mention and talk about Obama’s speech last night, which I thoroughly enjoyed. So at the very least, I will agree with our president and say that yes we are in an ‘ideological gridlock’. Write your senators peeps – let get out of this. And furthermore in regards to his remark, ‘Old habits are hard to break.’…To me, withhout limiting his meaning and refering to my article today, I read this to mean ‘racism and greed are hard to beat’.

Oh and one more thing, what the hell was Michael Steel talking about when he said the stimulus package doesn’t create jobs, it creates work. ‘A job is not a job unless it’s created by the public sector.’  Ugh…okay.  I’d love to hear your two on this one. Got to run.

Readers: Thoughts on anything? Blog me.

Peace…

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

Suicide Or Murder? You Be The Judge

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 9th February 2009

Want to play Jr. Investigator? This letter came across my plate yesterday and I thought that it was worthy of writing about today. I found the story to be very interesting and I suspect as many others do, that this was a racial crime and suicide is far from the truth. But you be the judge. Read the stories, organize the facts, and give your support.

On December 8th, 17-year-old Billey Joe Johnson died from a gunshot wound to the head. Police say he killed himself with a shotgun after being stopped for a simple traffic violation in Lucedale, Mississippi. (1) Several things seem to cast doubt on the official story, including an independent investigation that concluded it would have been impossible for the shot that killed Johnson to have been self-inflicted.

Many on the ground smell a murder and a cover-up. We don’t have all the answers, but it’s clear that in the racially divided town of Lucedale, all the ingredients exist for a miscarriage of justice.

Your voice can help ensure that the District Attorney feels the presence of a national spotlight when he presents his findings to a grand jury on Monday. Let him know that anything short of a thorough investigation will result in massive attention and a call for outside intervention.

Can you lend your voice to demand justice for Billey Joe?

From the beginning, the District Attorney has treated the investigation of Billey Joe’s death as a suicide or the result of an accidental self-inflicted injury. Based on his public statements and interactions with Billey Joe’s family, it appears that the District Attorney hasn’t looked into whether Billey Joe was killed by an officer or someone else. Again, we don’t have all the answers, but here’s what we do know:

  • Billey Joe was at his former girlfriend’s house minutes before the killing. (2) He never entered the house, but police were called to respond to an attempted burglary there. (3)This fact was not a part of the original story given by the police.
  • Billey Joe’s family says that his ex-girlfriend had been staying at her father’s house because her mother threw her out for dating Billey Joe (she is White and Billey Joe was Black). They said Billey Joe knew to only go to the house when the girl’s father was not present, that the two of them were on good terms even after they had broken up, and that the breakup was largely because of pressure from her father. The family also claims that there is a relationship between the officer present at the scene of Billey Joe’s death and the girl’s father.
  • A witness heard two shots, not one, at the scene where Billey Joe died, according to an independent investigation launched by the Mississippi NAACP. The pathologist in that investigation has indicated that it would be impossible for a bullet from a self-inflicted shot to enter in the manner that it did. He also said that given the length of Billey Joe’s arms and the length of the shotgun, it would have been impossible for him to hold the weapon and fire it at himself.
  • Billey Joe was a star athlete with scholarship offers from more than half a dozen schools. No one–including family, friends, and coaches–could think of a reason that Billey Joe would want to end his life.(4,5,6)

A true investigation would sort out fact from rumor. But we can’t be sure that Johnson’s family will get the investigation it deserves. In the case of the Jena 6 we saw a District Attorney and a judge incapable of carrying out justice in a racially charged environment. In the recent case of the murder of Oscar Grant by police (and many like it), we see how unlikely it is for District Attorneys to do their job when the suspect is an officer of the law. But in both these cases, public pressure has made all the difference by shining a spotlight on local authorities.

In the case of Billey Joe Johnson, we’re looking for the truth and for justice. A minute of your time can help ensure his family gets both. Click on Color of Change
