Conspiracy…More Of The Same Same

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 1st February 2009

Good Sunday Morning….

Hi Charlie:  First of all I have to say that I love men’s names for women. My mother told me years ago that she was originally going to name me Samantha. And I thought ‘How cool!’ – I wanted to be called ‘Sam’. :)

Anyway, no, I am not a clairvoyant although I do wish that I had that talent.  Hey, but it sounds like you too already knew the answer.  The RNC is hoping that we’ll stay stupid but people are smarting up. They didn’t get away with it with Palin on their team; Steele won’t either.

Hi Marilyn:  I’m glad that you woke up and saw through all of the bs. Can you imagine if the roles were switched and women could have as many husbands as they pleased? It would never happen. Think men are possessed over pussy now?  Think if they had to share it with a few other men…oh the aggression we would see then. Men could never handle it.

If you truly want to leave, Madaline will come and find you. I’m sure she could use more girls.

Janet:  If you are speaking of Lilly Ledbetter vs Goodyear, I remember that story well. -  I thought is was a bunch of crap then and I still do.  Of course they aren’t going to reason with logic. If they did, most of the time they wouldn’t get their way. While these assholes are raking it in, stuffing their robes, they’re hoping that the general public is too stupid to notice.

However, on a side note, Ledbetter was rewarded in a lower court, $3.8 million. So it was a happy ending? No quite.

The trial judge cut the amount to only $360,000 because of a limitation that was inserted in the Civil Rights Act of 1991, during the first Bush administration, which put a cap on damages for sex discrimination, regardless of the facts.

Now do you think Bush would’ve inserted that limitation if sex discrimination was prevalent with men instead of women? I think not. It is a rare case that a man is discriminated against. I have never heard of any case where a man is suing because he didn’t make the same pay as a woman. Just another example of how men want to keep women in their place. And if a woman decides to stand up and fight for herself, once again, oops there’s that glass ceiling.

Lilly Ledbetter’s final words: My case is over, I’m sad to say. [She adds that her salary affected her retirement benefits, including pension, a 401(k) plan, and Social Security.] So the way I understand it, I was treated like a second-class citizen for my 19 years and 10 months at Goodyear—as well as into my retirement.

George: I have little time for men like you. Let me know if you want to meet my friend Madaline, and I will introduce you. I think you’ll like her; she’s a kick in the ass.

Anonymous: I’d be very careful what you say to a potential girlz.  She just may come back and find you.

Anonymous #2: Thanks for sharing that article  by Jerry Tallmer. I enjoyed it.

Have fun the rest of the weekend! Peace out….

Conspiracy Theories Gone Wild

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 31st January 2009

Good morning.

So I thought that I was going to work this morning, but yesterday, I discovered something that left me quite po’d. And since the situation was not going to be rectified before I went to work this morning, I informed my manager that I would not be going to work until it was resolved. I gave them 2 weeks to figure it all out.  For all of you conspiracy theorists out there, I sense a conspiracy.  I’ll keep you posted as things progress.

But speaking of conspiracy theories. It’s pretty obvious that the RNC will do anything to make Obama look bad and be an unsuccessful president.  Now I’m not pointing fingers but we all have become privy to so much information this past year. It has been revealed to us that the RNC will stop at nothing.

So…that being said, did you hear that Obama’s brother George was arrested in Kenya for possession of Marijuana? Yep. And my first thought was that he was framed. And who more than anyone else would want obama to have a bad name?  Those that don’t want him to succeed. Need I say more?  And since they can’t find anything on Obama, hell, they’ll just go after his family members. I have a feeling that this won’t be the last shady stunt the RNC will think up.

Oh…and speaking of the RNC…did you hear that they elected Michael Steele, a black man to be the head of the RNC? In my mind their reasoning for electing Steele is so tranparent. The racists elect a black man for the same reason they elected Palin. I’m not saying that Steele is a bad person…I really know nothing about him. Just as I knew nothing about Palin but look where that got us.  Yes, in their moment of desperateness, they were hoping that any woman would do…and maybe their hoping that any black man will do too, and this will lead them to a win in 2012. I doubt it. But again, if people are stupid enough like we know them to be then we deserve to get what we get. Let’s just hope that we have all learned.

But hey…now that I’m thinking about it, this reminds me of that comedian Dave Chappelle who does a skit about a black white supremacist, Clayton Bigsby.  Bigsby is blind and he doesn’t have a clue that he is black. He articulates his white supremacist, hatred for blacks and any OTW attitude so well, that the KKK puts a hood on him, hiding his true identity, and sends him out to be their spokesperson. Hmmm…sound familiar? Let’s hope we don’t fall for the the RNC’s real life skit.

Do I sound like a conspiracy theorist with all of this talk about back-door plotting?  Well…if there is one thing that I have learned this past year or so is that conspiracy theories happen more often than not.  If you think it’s possible, then most likely it is probable.

Readers: Thoughts? blog me.

Hi Kushka:  I will look into it but for obvious reasons, I will not be able to comment on my blog.

Enjoy the day!

This ‘n That Chit Chat….

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 29th January 2009

Good morning.

I am not 100% today. A little drinking and a lot of dancing last night in celebration. My head is in a fog, I did not get my normal 8 hours, so I am going to be brief. However I did want to address those of you that I didn’t get to yesterday.

Redwood High: We kissed? Sorry DH, I don’t recognize those initials, but then there were so many people at Redwood…..and you know I was mugging with almost everyone.  Ha! You know I’m kidding. As fun as I did have at redwood, if you truly knew me, you would know that I  wasn’t much into playing the field.  I loved having boyfriends. Anyway, I’ll have to pull out that ‘ol year book and peruse. Thanks for visiting here and I look forward to becoming friends on facebook and discovering who you are. Delighted you enjoy the writes. :)

Hello Mosley: Thanks for the birthday wish.

Teddy: Obama is going to destroy our country. Yeah, okay. More like he is going to take away the power of those who want to destroy our country. And it ain’t those ‘rag heads’ as you call them. No I am more afraid of those ‘white heads’ that live in this country.

Did you ever think that maybe those at Gitmo should’ve gotten a fair trial over the last 6 years? Reports are incomplete…because guess what? – There is nothing to put into the reports. Many of them have no solid evidence against them. Is it really okay to steal away 6 years of someone’s life? Because that is really what we did – yes, this was a detention facility but…in my mind, a nice name for prison.

Hi Robert: Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes in script when the ‘tone’ is missing, misunderstandings can occur.  I have quite a few black friends and I am aware of the endearing terms that they use with each other. However, I could not tell from your comment if you were being endearing or not.  And I was not sure if you were referring to Obama.  I mean c’mon…a reader of my blog who works with Obama? The variety of people that read my blog still shocks me.

Anyway, in regards to your comment…you are so right. And, I am sure you are pissing off more than just Barbara’s husband. 100% of the republicans voting against the Stimulus package tells us, as Choe and Mosley pointed out the other day, that they choose ‘color’ over ‘country’.  Yeah…11 Democrats voted against it too, but no surprise considering the states they represented.  I just love how now they are so concerned about the money. Where was the concern over the money these past 8 years when our deficit was growing exponentially? Hmm…maybe because their pockets were too?

Throw in Rush Limbaugh who openly says that he hopes the Obama administration fails. Ya know Rhonda, there is a reason that Limbaugh’s show is so popular….a reason that it is nationally syndicated. You can’t have a popular show unless people, like your ‘imbecile’ brother, listen to him. That is the scary thing.  Do I need to say it again? ‘Color over country’. Maddie gone wild is not a show I want to promote just yet. I think we can do better.  You say my birth was a gift to the world – thank you. But I believe we are all here for a reason (besides tasty morsels for alien visitors :), and even if we aren’t, make something good up and run with it.

Tiffany: You sound like an intelligent woman. Have you expressed your viewpoints to your father? Don’t hold back – you’re right on.  Many whites still want to believe that there time will come even though they have lost everything under the Bush badmin. Again….’Color over country’.

Hey Mary: I am sorry but you are going to have to tell me your last name. I knew several Marys at redwood. And there were quite a few times we all skipped school to go party when the parents were away. Thanks for the birthday wishes and come be my friend on facebook if you want to reconnect.

Hey Dafne: Hope to hear from you again when you have some time.

Now I really have to go.

“O” Stands For “Order” And….

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 28th January 2009

Whew – What a day yesterday! Who opened the flood gates?!

Did I not mention that ‘order’ was on its way? Yep…’O’ stands for ‘order’ and for ‘Obama’.  I truly believe that if Obama was not president, our planet, not just our country, would perish. And from what the TAO has informed me of, if Obama was not president, they most likely would let us destroy ourselves regardless of the fact that we are a cattle planet. So, whether you ‘believe’ or not…we have reason to be more thankful than we will ever know. I, myself was ready to leave this popsicle stand if it were not for Obama.  Thankfully he is president.  However, we too must do our part. Speaking of…

…To all of you out there who just hate seeing a black man succeed, hate the fact that Obama, a black man, is the one who can inspire change in this world…..hate knowing that a black man has risen in power….to those of you who would rather see the destruction of the world than let the black race get ahead and shine…..I know how difficult it is for you sociopaths (Yes, that is what I consider you) in this world -  I am speaking to you John, Charles, and all of those racists who hide behind the title of ‘conservative’…it is time that you and your ideologies take a hike.  The private party for the white people is over. We’re mixing it up now.

Yes, there is a new president  in town and he’s got a pair bigger than you’ll ever have.

~~~~~~~~
Hi Robert: Welcome. It’s good to be intrigued. I found your comment ‘interesting’. You are a black man yet you refer to ‘the boy’ – am I correct to assume you mean Obama? Hmm…I look forward to hearing more from you. I wish you luck in getting in.
Hello Abaan, Chaghcharan, Jyoti, Jeevika, and Anonymous: Yes, Obama will be a president of many firsts. His concern is for the world, not just the US. When he says that he wants us to be world citizens, his inclusive actions back up those words. He walks the talk. He is an inspiration to the entire world. If people have a tendency to follow…if we need someone to lead us, he is the one.
Hi Dafne:  Is this the same Dafne that has commented before. If so…welcome back. Where did we find him? Who knows, but he is certainly a gift.
Do I sound like a woman obsessed with Obama? Is he our modern day Jesus? Whether you believe in God or not,  is there anything wrong with having a strong faith in someone? Yes he is one man, but he is one extraordinary man. Why not believe that he can do amazing things? Why not believe in the power of one?  I believe in collective thinking. I believe that if we all have faith, and believe, AND participate, we can make the changes that we desire in spite of those around us that would rather see us impoverished…that would rather hold us down and controlled,  than strong, alive and abundant. Let’s take a chance…step out of our comfort zone,  and ‘believe’.  What harm could it bring? But more importantly look at all that is possible if we do ‘believe’.
Hello Paul: Thank you. :)
Anonymous/Secret Lesbian:  Ha! You make me laugh. I hope that someday you will reveal your true self and be free from the restraints of society and family. Accept yourself as you are and others will accept you too. And if they don’t, fuck ‘em. Life is too short…Live it as you desire. When you do, come find me and I will give you another hug and this time it will be in celebration of you being you. :)
Hello fans in New Mexico and the honorary, ‘girlz’ of Kentucky: Thank you for the birthday wishes – sending love back to all of you.
Hello Zen Lill: Welcome back! love that ‘life sentence’ – too funny. I am off today. I will call you.
Ohh…I would love to address all of you today but I need to go. I’ll check back in as usual tomorrow and we’ll chat some more.
Enjoy your day!
The Game Of War: Are We Playing By The Rules?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 26th January 2009
Hi CynthiaYour comment has inspired me to write today. But as I begin to write I am overwhelmed with emotion. I promised myself that I would not let the wars of the world get to me…that in order to make a difference I need to be strong, clear minded, and focused. But, I am so sick of war and I am not even in the midst of it like so many.
I sit here on my computer reading of the happenings in Israel and Palestine…I sit here reading about White Phosphorus, a weapon that militaries use widely to obscure the battlefield (Phosphorus rounds are usually used to spread a thick, white smoke to screen military actions and mark specific areas.). But that it is also limited under an international convention that bans targeting civilians with it. Why? Because when it comes in contact with the skin, it has a horrible burning effect – it literally burns down to the bone.
This white smoke is killing. Amnesty International said it found “indisputable evidence of widespread use of white phosphorus in densely populated residential areas in Gaza City and in the north.”
I know there are guidelines and rules in war. But it seems that many of them are not being followed or are being broken. White Phosphorus in civilian areas killing families….men returning fire to protect their soldiers when being fired upon and oops…your GPS-guided mortars which are supposed to be accurate, aren’t exactly.  So yes, you did end up hitting the enemy but at the same time over 40 civilians including children are killed. Is this considered a war crime?  And if so, will any action ever be taken? Will those that survived while they watched their families burn to death ever get retribution?  According to the rules of war it should not have happened in the first place.
So I ask…where is the accountability here? Are the military asking the appropriate questions when ready to fire on the enemy? Are they considering the civilian risk? Or are they so consumed with getting the job done and winning that they will do so at whatever the price?  The price being civilians…women and children. Innocents.
I think of the movie ’300′. And as brutal as the war scenes were,  war seems to be more barbaric now, than when automatic weapons didn’t exist. When you think of men fighting, the only ones getting killed were those that were actually fighting in hand to hand combat or in close proximity. Yes, women and children did get killed. I’m not saying that it did not happen. Villages and tribes were attacked, but a man usually ‘went off to war’. Civilians were not usually in the midst of war. Now, we bomb ‘cities’. Of course our land is more populated too which makes going ‘off to war’ more difficult.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a law that war could not exist on our planet. If we could send those who wanted to fight to another planet; an uninhabited one. You know, let them battle it out somewhere else….say Mars…where they could kill each other to the end. We would not have to worry about civilians getting killed or poisonous gases and such, ruining our planet endangering humans, animal and plant life.
I know I may sound unrealistic, but hey, I can dream can’t I? I just know that if it was up to women, the caretakers of this world, we would find a better solution than war. Hmmm…some day when women rule…
Peace out.
