If The World Could Vote Who Would You Vote For?

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 11th October 2008

Good morning.

My cousin Mary emailed this to me and I found it so interesting. Thanks Mary!

So…to all my readers around the world, if you could vote for our next President, whom would you vote for? Go to ‘If the world could vote’  website and vote. The results will show you who (what country) and how many people in that particular country around the world voted on who they would like to see as our next President.  Will it be Obama? Or will it be McCain? You must vote to see the results.

~~~~~~~~~
Ah..Al: Are you feeling the angst and worry of the country and taking it out on me?  Not too long ago your words would’ve sent me over but today they mean nothing. They are only words spewing from your mouth.
If you remember way back when I discussed advertising you suggested that I ask for donations and that you would donate. Do you remember Al? Why don’t you put your money where your mouth is?
This may be a PT job for ZL; she’s a trained writer, but as for me I am not, and it feels like a FT job.  This blog is work for me, and hard work it is. I have never been a writer and I am not sure I consider myself one now, even though I have written every day for the past 16 months. Unfortunately writing has never come easy to me, and to this day it is still challenging.
I don’t do anything half assed. So when I started this blog I got inspired when I realized that I could channel my creativity through writing.  I made a commitment that I would write everyday and do my best no matter what I wrote about. Some subjects are very easy to write and some are very challenging. But because I care about what is written, it is paramount that I read and research, no matter if my readership is a thousand or a hundred thousand.
It’s no one’s business where the state of our finances are, but if I can make money on my blog and not have to abandon it for work that I know I can make a living at, (I have been designing clothing for the past 20 years and I am good at it.) then I would rather do just that, so that I can continue to do something that I love and be here everyday for my readers who look forward to the daily writes.  It’s really that simple.
No Al, your words did not bother me. What bothered me is what Anonz said, “…I doubt the gov’t would allow her to experience that kind of encouragement.” If I do not make money on my blog, at some point I may have to abandon it. That is a fact.
This is not a ploy to get people to contribute. There are plenty of people asking for donations that are far more in need than I am and still…people don’t donate. And really Al, if there are only a few readers as you seem to think, then why be concerned that I am profitable.  As far as advertisers are concerned, they know how to get the numbers if they are interested.
Lastly, I have never had the word cunt used in a derogatory way towards me before, and especially not ‘greedy cunt’.  No…my cunt is very ‘giving’.  ”You have the most beautiful cunt.” “I want to fuck your cunt.” “Your cunt is the tightest, hottest, juiciest, sweetest piece of meat I’ve ever had.” Now, those are words that have been spoken. I never thought I’d write about my cunt on my blog. How delightful…
So…Got the visual? Just in case you haven’t, let me tease you with a little photo.  I know you don’t like my face, so I’ve cropped the photo just for you. I left my mouth though….just for a little added pleasure.
PS: Don’t try to zoom in and see my cunt. Hahhaha! I know you’re messed up Al, so I’ll let you slide. Tao’s been screwing with your mind getting you ready for that space travel that you so desire. Just remember….If we ever do have that ride together, I’ll let you smell it, but you’ll never get a taste of it.  You’ll wish you had the chance to be pussy whipped by this!…C’mon… tell me your laughing.
I just had to end there…much better with a laugh than anything else…yes?
Loyal Readers: You know who you are…Comments? You know what to do.  As always….
Really what more is there to say? Obama clearly won again.
We went to a speakeasy last night to watch the debate. I had never done something like this before. And I have to say it was a ton of fun to be in the energy and feel the synergy.  It was obviously an Obama crowd. Funny thing is, I just assumed that everyone there was voting for Obama.
We were talking with our friend Paul and watching MSNBC on the big screen, while sipping on beer and munching on popcorn. And they were showing the daily news…McCain, and Palin spouting her lies about Obama and his terrorist connections.  Then I realized that we were speaking pretty loudly and freely about how tired we were of the rhetoric and lies from both of them. And then I looked around, thinking that I was at some democratic convention…and that this was a party pushing Obama event, when I finally said to myself, “Ah…Michelle, this is the debate – there’s probably republican voters here too.”
Was I wrong. I don’t remember who stepped out first onto the debating floor, but the moment McCain entered, the crowd booed and hissed – no one held back their feelings. And of course the opposite happened when Obama walked out -there was whooping and hollering. It was obviously a very strong democratic crowd…of course we were watching it on MSNBC.  (Did I catch a glimpse of people, possibly republicans sneaking out?) CSPAN was showing upstairs in another part of the theater, and my guess is there were McCain fans up there, if any.
However after last nights debate how could anyone still want McCain to run our country? I mean if you really, truly wanted the best for the people and our country, you would vote for ‘that one’.  Those two words I am sure McCain regrets saying said it all; as if he thought Obama were nothing more than a piece of shit. Oh how I love debates so much more than well thought-out and planned speeches. You get to see and hear the true feelings of candidates. The real truth always shows face somewhere.  And don’t you think his racism showed up too when he was answering the question from the black man in the audience?  You know when he belittled him by saying something like, “You probably had never heard of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac until…” ! Wha’at? Are you just assuming McCain, that this man is just a dumb uninformed black man?  Did anyone pick up on that?
Really what more is there to say? Obama clearly won again. Keep talkin’ McCain….Keep talkin’ Palin…the more you spout, the more you’re out. Out of the White House that is.
Hello AH:  Ya know, you had me in tears this morning when I read your comment. I cannot even imagine from your viewpoint how disappointed you must be in your beloved country. My guess is when you imagined what this country would be like in the future you imagined something totally different. It is nothing like I imagined either. How did we end up like this?
I have always been a positive person, thinking the best of people and their intentions and thinking that I was giving and being my best too.  But my eyes have been opened wide and my heart has been closing in protection. Thankfully, my new found site has lead me into taking action, but is it too late?  I don’t want my heart to close nor do I want to feel what I feel towards those that have and are destroying our country all in the name of racism and greed. It only perpetuates that which is out there. I feel overwhelmed in everyday decisions over my life and those of our country. I don’t know what is priority anymore as everything is so important for our survival. The only thing I can focus on is getting Obama in the White House, like he is our only chance for survival as a nation. I feel like I am putting all of my eggs into one basket and I know how dangerous that is.
But really, I believe after everything that you have said and everything that anonz has confessed, we have no other option. Obama is our only savior. I don’t like to put so much of my faith into him, but at this point from all that I know, he is the only one who can turn this around if that is even possible.  I just hope that the majority of Americans will put their greed and racism aside and do what is best for our country and really the world. Is that possible? If not, we are on a most undesirable road to nowhere.
Readers: This is not just about us anymore; it is about our place in the world and how our position as world citizens affects the rest of the world, and how our Presidential decision will affect how the rest of the world views us. It is clear that the rest of the world is looking to us.  They are relying on us to come through because although they may not like that we have been the world’s leader, they know that the downfall of the US will have a huge impact on them as well. Why do you think my blog is rampant with comments about how stupid Americans are? Our overseas citizens are shouting for us to wake up – get smart. They want Obama in office as badly as we do.
Anything you want to say? Blog me.
Peace out and always….
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle
“Fraud Is The Creation of Trust and Then Its Betrayal.” McCain Was Untrustworthy Before…
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 7th October 2008
The shit is surfacing. The skeletons are rising. Remember when I blogged about the key players in our financial state a few weeks ago?  Well…Obama put out a video yesterday which goes into depth of exactly how big of a part McCain played in his role as one of the five, earning him personal and political benefits. Let me just tell you, his part in this scandal almost ended his career.  And people want him for our president?! For those of you still undecided, I did your research for you. This is the video to watch: “John McCain and The Making of a Financial Crisis.” What you will see is shocking.
McCain has been supporting deregulation for years. This video connects the deregulatory intensity that caused the massive savings-and-loan collapses in the late 80′s that I blogged about.  And how McCain’s involvement and support of deregulation over the last 20+ years has helped cause the current credit state. In the S & L crisis, he took advice from Charles Keating, the mastermind criminal behind ‘Keating Five’. Now, his ears are listening to a whole other group of economic and top political advisers; lobbyist types: Phil Gramm, Rick Davis, Carly Fiorina…and once again the advice is going to ‘favor their clients’.
Hello…open your eyes…McCain just doesn’t get it…Why do you think McCain wants to move on, ignoring the topic of the state of our economy? Could it be that he really doesn’t get it therefore he seeks advice and unfortunately from the wrong people who really have no interest in anyone but their clients?  My guess is he’s not that stupid and he’s hoping to make a killing this time too at the expense of the taxpayers. And this time the benefits will be much grander. My feeling is he doesn’t want to draw attention to himself in this area in hope that the past won’t be dredged up…Oops too late.
For those that don’t remember or are not familiar with the fraudulent acts of ‘Keating five’, this is a huge reminder. Our biggest lesson to learn is that deregulation is like de-supervising. When no one is watching….when the parents aren’t home, the children will play, and ‘being good’ is not part of the plan. Once again, people don’t police themselves. Therefore, you create a breeding ground for fraudulent acts.
The second Presidential debate is tonight. I wonder how much disingenuous vomit will be spewed from McCain’s mouth tonight?
************
Oh ZL: I had to laugh about the big swinging black dick. Of course all back men aren’t endowed with a ‘big one’. An entire race couldn’t be that lucky. :)  It is the belief, the preconception that is out there that all black men have big dicks. The same belief is obviously not about the white guy, even though we know some white guys have big swinging dicks too. Hence, the reason to keep the black man ‘down’.  The white guy thinks/knows he wouldn’t compete if the black man not only had a big dick to satisfy his woman but a healthy bank account too. Ah…the greed all boils down to the sex and who’s gonna get it.
Peace out.
Injustice and Bigotry At Its Best.
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 6th October 2008
Wow. Once again, there is animosity that is flaring up on my blog. It just goes to show you that people are not truly citizens of the world…that there is still much hatred and pointing fingers between different countries. Or in this case most recently, countries pointing at us in hatred.
I think Doug has a good point. Use your power and bitch to the UN. If so many countries feel this way about the US, then band together and do something about it and stop complaining. If we’re going to have to be responsible for the officials that we elected, regardless of whether some of us elected them, you certainly have to be responsible for the officials you elected who are in bed with ours.
South Africa: Who said America was fair? Life isn’t fair; I’m sure everyone can agree. Unfair trials have been going on for years. Does that mean it is right? No. But you ‘opining’ about how quick we are to judge is right ‘back at ya’ when you admit that you are doing the same in your country to the blacks. We could keep going back and forth until we’re blue in the face. When you’re pointing out one finger at the perpetrator, how many fingers are pointing back at you? No one is innocent here. We have proven that we have a long way to go as a world society.
As far as O.J. is concerned, and writing about it on my blog…why the attack Lashkar Gah? Quick  to comment on your men being cruel to you? I think not. Your men are cruel to you daily. I could’ve written about this years ago but I didn’t have this blog then….so sorry. I could write about it daily and I still would be too slow to get it out there.
You know as well as any other readers that I am pretty current when it comes to my blog, or at least I try my best to be.  O.J. has been on my mind, and I have been reading and checking my sources in preparation of this write. I was planning on blogging about it today, Monday.  Is that okay with you?
Okay, I don’t want to get heated like some of you are…So…onto the topic.
Doug and I went out to dinner last night with Elliot and Tracey and of course I wanted to ask Elliot what his thoughts were about O.J. and the recent trial. If you remember awhile back, I had blogged about a book that Elliot had given us, and a movie that he was promoting based on the innocence of O.J. For you newbie readers, the article that I blogged will tell you more about the movie. However, you might be especially interested in reading comment #6 from Tal our resident alien. He offered some very enligtening information about the murders that only few people would ever know.
Anyway, and like all of you readers that have commented, we all agreed that the trial was totally unfair. I mean how could you not think that?  An all white trial!  I mean really…a perfect jury for the prosecution. It was not possible to have a verdict other than ‘guilty’.  The prosecution won the moment the jury was chosen. I don’t care how much one tries to find an unbiased jury, if you aren’t going to mix it up racially there is going to be bias and racism present.  And the verdict proves there clearly was.  If this was a white man on trial with an entire black jury, it would never fly. People would be screaming. But with O.J.: Totally acceptable. This is injustice and bigotry at its best.
There is no doubt in my mind that he did not have a fair trial. I mean to find him guilty on EVERY account; all 15! Come on….these jurors are bigots. They, like many people out there,  wanted him convicted. All they can remember is the trial 13 years ago. For years they have  believed from the get go that he was guilty. Forget that he went to trial. Forget that there wasn’t any evidence to prove that he was  guilty.  He did not ‘get off’; O.J. was acquitted!  But  people already had made up there minds  long ago and for years they have been waiting for this moment to convict him. And as Spain pointed out, ‘This was an old fashioned lynching.’ I agree.  These jurors are all just feeling quite smug knowing that no one else could convict O.J., and they did.
For months now I have had the idea of having a guest blogger write on my blog.  I have never invited anyone but after speaking with Elliot last night I thought he would be an excellent person to add to the mix here today. Elliot was glued to the media when it came to the O.J. trial. He has always felt that O.J. was innocent and has for years been expressing his thoughts. When he discovered that Doug and I felt the same way, our common interest engaged us all in some interesting conversation.
So last night I asked Elliot to write something up…thoughts that he would want to share with you. Elliot is a local writer, a film instructor, and a good friend of ours. So here it is:
Back in February of this year there were a number of comments made on this site regarding O.J. Simpson’s original 1995 murder trial. The comments sprang forth as a result of a then current documentary film called THE OVERLOOKED SUSPECT. In that film (as well as the book that inspired it) author / private investigator William Dear proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that O. J. Simpson did not—repeat, DID NOT—kill Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Mr. Dear doesn’t merely speculate this assertion, but provides shocking, hard evidence (the result of a painstaking, twelve year investigation) that proves conclusively that the actual killer was Jason Simpson, O. J.’s   tremendously troubled (then) 24-year-old son from his first marriage. Jason’s motives were complicated and tinged with tragic implications worthy of Shakespeare: O. J. willingly stood trial for a pair of crimes he knew his son had committed. The fact that he was acquitted of thesecrimes in a court of law somehow eluded the American public and for the past thirteen years the vast majority of white America has clung to the belief that O. J. is a vicious, cold-blooded murderer. It has been nearly impossible to find anyone who believes otherwise. Unless of course they either read William Dear’s book or saw the film. And sadly, very few people have because very few people care to have their belief systems overturned.
Now, thirteen years to the day later, O.J. Simpson has been found guilty of no fewer than twelve felony counts including kidnapping, robbery and coercion (all with a deadly weapon) stemming from an incident in Las Vegas in September 2007. The Goldmans (family members of Ron Goldman) are already gloating over the fact that their ongoing harassment of Simpson actually led him to commit the Las Vegas crimes leaving open the suspicion that they might have been party to a blatant set-up that virtually assured an arrest. O. J. will be sentenced on December 5 and could very likely be put away for life. Millions of white Americans will deliriously claim that justice has been served and that a deranged murderer will finally get what he deserves. The sad truth is that an innocent man has most likely been set-up (literally) by bloodthirsty, vindictive ghouls determined to satisfy their own sick desires. This is a shameful moment of which no one should feel the slightest bit proud. We live in a nation that supports the suppression of truth and encourages hatred against minority races and the Simpson saga is ample proof of this.
It’s time for people to put aside their preconceived notions and acknowledge the truth about O.J. Simpson. For clarification on the 1994 killings, I seriously recommend obtaining a copy of William Dear’s book O. J. IS GUILTY BUT NOT OF MURDER or watching the film based on it, THE OVERLOOKED SUSPECT. Information can be found at www.theoverlookedsuspect.com .
Well said Elliot! The one thing I never thought of in this case was that the Goldman family could be behind the set up as Elliot pointed out. Did that occur to any of you out there? It looks like they finally got their payback.
I have to say that I truly feel sorry for O.J.  And I doubt that I am the majority here. It was not enough to convict him in their minds even though he was acquitted of murder. It was not enough that he has had to live with many people feeling that he ‘got off’ and he should be in jail. No they had to convict him by giving him an unfair trail with a jury that had made their minds up 13 years ago.
Thanks Elliot for sharing your mind!
Readers:  I have heard of from some of you already. Anyone else? Blog me.
Hey Anonz:  I just saw your comment – will read later…I am running late and I must post.
Peace everyone.
Dont vote. I mean who cares what happens here anyway.
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 5th October 2008
Don’t ya love when someone throws the reverse psychology bit on ya and you fall for it? Leo DiCaprio put together this video and I have to say I really like it. The message is good. So….
…If you care, don’t wait.  You must register to vote.
Don’t be big ‘L’, little ‘a’, little ‘z’….and ‘y’ are you so lazy. – Get off your ass and register -  Not listed above? For your state  Click here to find out!  Or just go to JustVote.org and register online.
Love this video. It speaks to the stupid ones out there who feel that their vote doesn’t count. Make your vote count! Register today. Already registered? Then make sure you get off your ass and vote on voting day.  It’s really that simple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Doug:  Inspiring words. It does take courage and a willingness to change. But are people willing to be honest and willing to make the changes needed?  Or do they just not give a shit about anything but their own needs? Plus people are big ‘L’…

Zen Lill: Oh when you say you are going to say something, you don’t hold back. Maybe it is time I give an order and let Anonz handle his own. Or maybe a deal needs to be struck. Eh? Are we still on for a little tête-à-tête later on this afternoon?

Peter: You are so right. Blame it on the 90 year old woman who tried to commit suicide by shooting herself because she couldn’t make her mortgage payment. Unfortunately she didn’t die, so now she has to live her last years out not how she planned. NOW the banks are going to help her. And you’re so right about the children who don’t even have a voice but they worry where their next meal is going to come from because their parents are stupid and they signed a bad loan that they now can’t pay.  Yes they are true abettors.

Hi Maddie:  How are ya?  Busy I know. Nothing new but always a good reminder. Wish the Girls well for me. Got it on the typos – I understand.

Spain and England: Ditto on your thoughts about Palin. We treat Hollywood like the royalty that we don’t have. Yes if she were a man she would be laughed out. How I wish she were.  And yes once again, Americans are stupid. Hopefully the smarter ones will prevail this time.

Signing off…

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle
