Good morning!

I’m in the mood this morning…

*H*A*H*A*H*A*H*A*!!*

Howie: As much as I was disappointed over Obama’s choice about Rice; I’ve already said my very big two on the subject, I keep HOPEing there was some good reason for his actions, but I cannot imagine what it could be. With respect to Obama and his potential agreement with the aliens, this is a very big deal for our president and not to mention a big deal for the world. I HOPE the vote goes Obama’s way if that is what is best for the world.

I HOPE you had a wonderful Hanukkah, and all is well with you.

Anonymous: How can you say “...she seemed to be ok with how they treat the women?“? Just because Hathaway didn’t bring up women doesn’t mean she is ok with how they treat women. She said nothing about women, which doesn’t say she is ok with the treatment of women or not. We have no idea what is going through her mind except her comments about dropping her religion because they don’t support her gay brother. She was speaking strictly about her gay brother. Your comment doesn’t sound  like it’s “good none the less” – It sounds like you’re knocking her. (I’d like to hear what you’re doing in support of women or gays for that matter) Why not celebrate what she has done instead of knock what you seem to think she feels, without really knowing? At least Hathaway is one woman who took a stance…a strong stance against the Catholic Church –  I don’t hear about many other people doing such a thing.

Zen Lill:  What’s up girl? What’d you think of today’s funny? I know you’d be laughin’!

Blog me.

It’s A Black And Orange Day Of Celebration!

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 31st October 2012

Bookmark and Share

Good morning!

First of all I want to congratulate our beloved San Francisco Giants for winning the World Series!  And today, if you happen to be a Giants fan and living in the Bay Area, the celebration festivities are happening along with all the Halloween fun. It couldn’t be more perfect that our Giants’ colors are the colors of the Halloween holiday. So don your black and orange costume and begin your day at the Halloween Day ticker-tape parade celebrating the 2012 World Series champion Giants, starting at 11:00 AM, and continue into the ghoulish night partying with some of the scariest monsters, witches, and ghosts! San Francisco is full of them and the place to be! I HOPE to see some of you out and about!

For those of you who can’t watch the parade, just know the streets are going to be crazy and getting around might be challenging for some of you. So here’s something to help you get around:

SF Giants Parade 2012: Route, Date, Time, TV Schedule and More

The San Francisco Giants are ready to party like it’s 2010.

After knocking off the Detroit Tigers by a score of 4-3 in 10 innings to complete the World Series sweep, Bruce Bochy’s squad became one of world baseball champions for the second time in three years.

For hardcore baseball fans, that’s all that matters. Lesser fans, however, will of course be concerned with the parade that will celebrate San Fran’s triumph.

And honestly, can you blame them?

A parade is just a huge party in the middle the street. It’s a time to celebrate the hometown team that brought sports fans the ultimate prize. It’s a time to skip school. To skip work. Parades like this are a once-in-a-lifetime—or in San Francisco’s case, twice-in-three-years—opportunity, and if you’re in the area, you won’t want to miss.

So let’s take a look at everything you need to know about the giant mobile party.

The date and time were announced by none other than Mayor Edwin Lee:

Date: Wednesday, October 31

Time: 11 a.m. PT

TV Schedule: You can watch the parade live on KRON 4 or follow along live on theirFacebook feed.

Route

This year’s route has yet to be officially announced, but when the Giants won in 2010, they took the same parade route as the one the team took in 1958 when it moved to San Fran from New York.

So, this year’s should be similar to the following (via San Francisco Chronicle):

The parade will start “at Montgomery and Washington streets and go southbound on Montgomery to Market Street before continuing west on Market to Civic Center Plaza.” The parade ends on the steps of City Hall.

According to FOX40 News, it sounds as though that will be the route once again this year.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more becomes known about the official 2012 route.

*******

Readers: This is it for today. Have a safe and Happy Halloween no matter where you are! And again, my best wishes to all and especially those who are so affected by Hurricane Sandy.  It seems we are nearing the end of this horrific storm – I HOPE life gets back to normal soon.

Peace & Love to all.

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. Daddy’s Girl

Good morning!

For the girls.

Rabbi Writes Patronizing Letter To Sarah Silverman, Has His Ass Handed To Him By Her Dad

Rabbi Yaakov Rosenblatt is apparently not a fan of Sarah Silverman. In fact, if his open letter to her can be taken on its face, he’s not a fan in general of uppity women who haven’t made marriage and baby-making a priority.

The letter, published on JewishPress.com, initially takes issue with Silverman’s Let My People Vote campaign for its use of “biblical language,” but his argument quickly shifts focus to the comedian’s real crimes: focusing on her career rather than marrying and mothering her own “brood.” Rosenblatt suggests that the reason for Silverman’s political interests — which he seems to think are new — is the result of a hole in her life that can only be filled by traditional marriage and family.

I think you have latched on to politics because you are searching for something to build. There is only so much pulling down one can do without feeling utterly destructive…. You are driven. You are passionate. I pray that you channel your drive and direct your passion to something positive, something that will make you a better and more positive person, something that will allow you to touch eternity and truly impact the world forever. I pray that you pursue marriage and, if you are so blessed, raise children.

Jezebel writer Katie J.M. Baker reacted to the letter today with a scathing response:

Why is Rabbi Rosenblatt so threatened by Sarah Silverman? Because — make no mistake — that’s exactly what he is. He’s clearly threatened by the fact that a 42-year-old childless (gasp!), unmarried (double gasp!) woman (TRIPLE GASP!) wields so much power and influence — and that she actually seems fulfilled by her unorthodox life choices.

But most importantly, Silverman’s dad took to the comments section on Rosenblatt’s post and fired off a couple of warning shots:

Hey asshole: Daughter #1 is a rabbi. Not by your standards. She’s reform. How dare she, a lowly woman think god wants her to be a rabbi, created from a mere rib. Her hubby, three times nominated for a nobel peace prize was listed by the Jerusalem Post as the 49th most influential jew in the world built the worlds largest solar field in israel. By the way, Sarah was also on the list. I missed your name. Oldest granddaughter is serving in the Israel Defense Forces. I’m sure you also served.Oh I forgot the orthodox don’t do that. You don’t fuck with my family.

Is it too early to name Donald Silverman dad of the year?

Silverman has yet to respond to the letter herself, but we we’re not putting our money on the comedian having a family-values change of heart anytime soon.

**********

Readers: Ya got to love a father like that who sticks up for his daughter, and won’t put up with anyone dissing her. Not even a Rabbi.

Oh…I just had to add this video too – “Silverman wants to scissor Sheldon”. Don’t know what that means? Watch the video:

That’s all I’ve got time for. Your turn. Blog me.
