Let’s Start This Day Laughing, Shall We?

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 5th November 2009

Oh….I am in a humorous mood this morning. Time to lighten up and laugh a little. This girls got it going good this morning and I am going to ride it all day. Ya know what I mean?

No topic this morning…just a little chitchat with my readers to break up the monotony of all of the heaviness lately. Don’t ya just need to distant yourself for awhile and laugh a little? I believe one should laugh at least a few times a day. Crack yourself up – I do all the time. And when I’m not laughing at myself, I’m laughing at others….in a good way of course, and hopefully they’re laughing with me.

Not laughing enough in your day? Well, start here this morning. I found a few things to help you break out into some laughter. Keep reading and you’ll come across them :)

Anna:  I love traveling, and I hope one day soon I can fly to meet you. I have no problem sleeping on flights, and no problem with long flights. I use to fly to Indo a few times a year for work and although I was flying business class, which to me was so delicious, being able to totally recline would be the ultimate way to fly….besides having my own craft of course.

Now if we’re talking about my ship, there is  no comparison. Let me just brag a little… My ship is so huge, more than 1000 earths could fit in it. So if you want leg room and a place to recline and relax, I have beaches – because if I’m going anywhere, I have to be near a beach. And mountains? oh yeah…from Mt Tamalpais to the Himalayas. My ship has the best of everything.  Sound good? Want to join me?

In fact peeps, we may all be on my ship now and you would never even know it. Can you wrap your mind around that one? :)

Joyce: I have no idea – All I can say is they are stupid, and not paying attention to the facts. Here’s a little video I found that’ll get you laughing – just goes to show you how stupid people can really be. I think you’ll like it.

They are not always blond

Kushka, and Nawzad: You’re both welcome. I wish that I could do more. I wish that Madaline could do more, but sometimes, we humans need to be left to handle the situations ourselves. Nawzad, Madaline is not reachable by my readers any other way but through my blog. Feel free to say something to her here. She does check in to read, even if she is not able to respond. Hang in there – You girls Rock.

Ah…Scott: You caught me on a good day; I just couldn’t wait to get to you. Thank you for the compliment. So….let’s see….’Meddling’ huh? When men stop meddling with women, I will stop meddling in their lives. And not until then. ‘Bitch’: That I am, and proud of it! Call me a bitch any day of the week….and that’s Bad Ass Bitch to you.

But as far as me interfering in your family business, don’t shoot the messenger. Just because Wendy reads my blog, got inspired, and finally decided to woman up, and not to put up with your shit, don’t blame me. You’re the one who was/is cheating. Maybe you should’ve thought about your wife with your big head, before you thought with your little head and pulled down your pants. My blog just gave her the boldness she needed to bail out.

So…tell me…did you answer her question? Please share with me and my readers, just why Wendy should put up with your shit. I would love to hear your lame excuses. And by the way, you are threatening the wrong girl – I have peeps in the form of one bad-assed super-girl and a clan of chicks that are always ready and itching to kick a little ass.  I would be the wrong girl to fuck with – got my drift?

As far as me being a ball buster – you bet. When men think with the little head instead of the big one, where do you think their brains are? But don’t get me wrong. I love balls; they are the co-pilots on my favorite ride.

Now… be a good boy, and go run off and be with your little girlfriend, until she gets tired of your shit too.

Oh…and this one’s for you.

So...Wendy: How goes it? No need to thank me. It is my pleasure. I don’t know what I said that sparked your split, but whatever I said, I’m glad that it gave you the courage to do what you felt you needed to do. Hold you head high…..More power to you Babe, from this B.A.B.E. :) Hey, did you like the video I posted? Funny huh?

Ruth: I have no problem with family matters being discussed on my blog, so please, no need to ask for forgiveness.  As you can see, your little mother/daughter chat is pretty mild compared to some of the stuff that happens here. I am not judging; just pointing out that the stories that are printed here are about as wild, and intimate, and revealing as one can get. No worries. I love having you both here.

BTK: So that’s what the acronym stands for. I like it.

Wow. I can’t believe The Huff didn’t approve your comment. That surprise and disappoints me. In fact that is just BS. I would send Ariana a letter of complaint. And yes, if you need to drive your point home by printing it twice then do so.

Speaking of Billy: How are you doing? This ones for you.  ”He often broke into song, because he couldn’t find the key.” I hope that you are still reading and you’re doing okay. Peace Billy boy :)

Zen Lill: ‘Unwanted children tea’? You’ve got to be kidding me? Just the name itself made me crack up.  Please tell me more – this I’ve got to hear :)

JC: Love it – Reminds me of the saying: “One must be careful of what they ask for, as they just may get it.

Hey Robert: Are you still reading? It feels like it has been a long time.

What about you Helena? Miss your presence here too.

Well Readers: I’ve started my day laughing. I hope that at the very least, I got a chuckle out of you. If not, go find something that makes you break out. It’ll feel sooo good.

Peace, Love & Laughter: “Live it, Give it, and Do it!”

The Dick Is Dead

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 26th October 2009

Hello…

I didn’t get to hear from as many of you as I wanted to, in regards to women’s health and how it is not taken as seriously as men’s. In light of all that is not working in our health care system, women are still put second. This is not just my opinion, but a fact.

I mentioned yesterday that commercials showing tampons and BC pills were not allowed for many years. The big concern was children being exposed to commercials about women’s natural needs.  - Oh dread! And yet these things are a necessity for women. We don’t chose to menstruate or not. It happens every month whether we like it or not. We don’t chose to get pregnant. Well we do, but if we don’t protect ourselves we will most likely get pregnant, whether we like it or not.

Thankfully Obama is in the house now,  because republicans voted against insurance paying for contraceptives for women, but viagra for men? Hell yes. Hey, I didn’t know Viagra was a necessity in life. When it comes to men and them getting their sex, nothing is denied. Viagra is covered by insurance, and Viagra commercials are shown on TV 24/7, night and day.  Oh but what about their concerns? You know, young children being exposed to these types of commercials? Oh….but it’s okay now;  it’s men and their sexual needs!

I could go on but I have some things this morning that I need to attend to.  I’ll look forward to the rest of you  to chime in on this or anything else you want to chat about.

But hey before I sign out, how about some humor to begin Monday morning?

I discovered this clip while perusing Youtube. And since we’ve been chitchatting about birth control pills and that little blue pill, here’s Wanda Sykes, my latest fave female funny girl, singing, ‘The Dick Is Dead’.

Hilarious yes?!

Unfortunately, I haven’t seen the HBO special that just aired on October 10th, so this is just a piece of this funny pie. The person who posted this video had this to say:

“Openly gay, here’s her take on that time in life when women are supposed to be released from a lifetime of faking orgasms… if it weren’t for Viagra.”

If anyone has seen her show in its entirety, I’d love to hear your take on her Viagra segment. Knowing Wanda, I’m sure she took it all the way!

Have a great Monday!

michelle

Chris Rock On Roman Polanski

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 7th October 2009

I’m taking a break on my ‘sustainable series’ today because my attention got grabbed again over the hot topic of Polanski. In case you didn’t see Chris Rock on Jay Leno’s new show last Thursday night, click here for the clip. Unfortunately I couldn’t copy it from the linked site. So I searched youtube. I found it, but when I tried to play it, this notice came up: “This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions.” Ok, this video was shot in our country but now we can’t copy it and view it – crazy.  Anyway, it’s a short clip and worth the watch – Right on Chris!

Here’s the article too if you’re interested:

Last night on Jay Leno‘s new show, Chris Rock put on blast some of the attitudes surrounding director Roman Polanski, ripping into the rhetorical dances being done around what Polanski actually did – which was rape a thirteen year old.

The conversation around Roman Polanski has been a hard one to follow. Part of it is annoyance – it is unnerving to see how certain celebrities fall under scrutiny for consorting with minors and others can make it seem like an unfortunate lapse in judgment.

Jill at Feministe points out how many actors seem to feel that this is just peachy:

“What I don’t understand is why so many people are signing this petition. On the most basic level, it’s especially disappointing when the signatories are people whose work I like and respect. Pedro Almodovar. Wes Anderson. Natalie Portman. Kristin Scott Thomas. Darren Aronofsky. Diane von Furstenberg. Julian Schnabel. Martin Scorsese. Tilda Swinton. Gael Garcia Bernal (there goes my biggest crush). Penelope Cruz.”

But they are, after all, just entertainers. It’s absolutely heartbreaking when the support comes from someone who should really know better – like the founder of the Feminist Majority Foundation.

“My personal thoughts are let the guy go,” said Peg Yorkin, founder of the Feminist Majority Foundation. “It’s bad a person was raped. But that was so many years ago. The guy has been through so much in his life. It’s crazy to arrest him now. Let it go. The government could spend its money on other things.”

Lauren over at Feministe brings her experience into the narratives around Polanski, noting:

“Rape is not the only assault. Around rape is a large segment of the population that questions the victim, a culture that looks down on victims for allowing themselves to be victimized, or keep them victimized, questions about the victim’s credibility, questions about the legacy of rape and how bad it is, because how bad is rape really? Rape, because various levels and forms of sexual assault are systemic and pervasive across all societies, exists alongside one’s experiences of unwanted touching, wanted touching, sexual objectification, sexual desire, sexual harassment, incest, love, leering eyes, cat calls, roaming hands, consent, confusion, tits, vagina, rectum, penis, mouth, rape and not-rape, all of it loaded, all of it veering at rape’s ugly legacy, co-mingling, the legacy that tells us to be more careful, to dress more conservatively, to BE BETTER AT BEING VULNERABLE, or BE MORE POWERFUL, or BE MORE FEARFUL, or GET OVER IT ALREADY. Rape leaks into healthy, consensual experiences. It lingers. It pervades.”

Roman Polanski initiated sexual contact with someone he knew to be underage, persisted after she said no, pled guilty to unlawful intercourse with a minor, and fled the country when he feared he would go to prison anyway.

What’s so disturbing about the articles isn’t that people are claiming our legal system is flawed. It’s that people – be they in Hollywood or your average citizen – are grasping for all kinds of ways to twist this back on the victim and to exonerate Polanski by denying this crime ever happened. So you want him to walk on a technicality? Fine. Admit that! But why are we denying that the rape ever happened?

It did happen.

Polanski admitted as such. So are people so invested in the idea that if we pretend it isn’t “rape-rape” then the matter will be resolved?

As Rock says at the end of the clip: “The United States, we want to capture Osama Bin Laden, and murder him. We don’t want to rape him – that would be barbaric!”

Rape is a barbaric act.

And I’m amazed it took a comedian to say it outright.

-Latoya Peterson

Can you believe that the head of the Feminist Majority Foundation, Peg Yorkin, says to ‘let it go.’? I am shocked by the amount of women who have been supporting Polanski. What is wrong with these women? I am so disappointed.

On an up note, don’t you just love Rock’s final words though?!

Readers: Thoughts? Blog me.

************

Hey Zen Lill:  Time has not been expanding much for me either, and I have barely had any time to exercise at all. Getting this details of this new venture together has been taking up a lot of time but then love is in the details and I am such a detailed person. By the way, I got your joke – too funny!

Mai Ling: How does an earthling girl get discovered with a commander like Madaline commanding her? Believe me, as Al so appropriately pointed out, you were once a ‘primitive’, and obviously not too long ago. It’s clear, you, or whoever got discovered, haven’t mastered surreptitiousness.

Remember this, if you decide to retaliate with an earthquake, it will most likely be the less fortunate of the ‘primitives’ who will undoubtedly suffer, not the ones behind shooting the rockets this Friday. And the ones behind the rockets don’t necessarily care about the livelihood of the less fortunate ‘primitives’.

My readers and I quite aware that our weather can be controlled, as we have been informed many times. And I am sure that the ‘primitives’ that you intend to teach are aware too. This is not the first time humans have tried to make a statement, and we know it won’t be the last.  And you are well aware, as I am, that if push ever came to shove, we would be as easy to exterminate as a human foot on an ant hill:  completely defenseless.

Know this, I am tired of the destruction on our planet. The economic climate in this world is fucked up enough, and another disastrous earthquake leaving more of the ‘primitives’ homeless and jobless, will not make this Girl happy.

Earth is a cattle planet to say the least, but it is still our home. You know Earth…the place you used to live. Try not to be an insensitive, expanded brain, no-longer-a-primitive-myself, earthling.

Mai Ling, what can I say? You got me on a morning where I have little tolerance for ego-talk. Try to be safe out there and not get into any trouble.

Cecil: You’re only a creep if you excepted the blow job. She was probably testing you to see if you really loved her by offering herself to you, or if you were just like any other man. If you really loved her you would’ve set her up out of the care and love for her, and nothing more. Did you, or were just like any other man who wanted to get a good blow job? And shame on your brother for being a man who shares the intimate details of his relationship.

Al: I thought your questions and comments in regards to ZL’s joke were even funnier than the joke.

Doug: There is no reasoning with women like Laura. She accepts her place in society as second class and kisses ass to those white men that control her. She would be a good match for George.

Youth Genius

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 21st September 2009

Hellooo….
Brave New Voices held their annual International Youth Poetry Slam Festival this past July. I heard some of it the other day and I was so blown away by what I heard that I just had to post this video.  It is not a great visual, but the profound poetry that these high school girls from Denver so passionately spoke, it was no wonder they made it to the finale.

Readers: What did you think? All I know is these girls are genius. And if you get a chance to hear more, it is so worth your time. Check out youtube or Brave New Voices website.

Aizalyasni:  I can imagine that the men that you speak of must be ‘evil’ from the way you described what you would like to do to them. I can only imagine what atrocities have been inflicted upon you to want such revenge. Freedom is a right that every person should have.

Anna: First of all, I am sorry that you have been having trouble posting, but I am glad that you were able to. I know how much the mainlanders count on being able to read your post.s Post as often as you feel the need. Secondly, thank you for recognizing that it is not my fault when you can’t ‘get in’.

Melanie: This is not the first time that I have heard of a cure for cancer that is being kept from the public. But, I know what you mean, because if there is a cure, to me it means that money is valued more than human life. I think the actions that Big Pharma displays consistently, tells us just that. However, articles like these, seen on the internet news and blogs, gets information to people that many might not ever see. Information that was once difficult to get is now easier and faster. People and companies are at a higher risk, thankfully, to being exposed.

Anonymous #10: Good question. What do you think is going on?

Peace out.

Call Me A ‘Slut’ Any Day Of The Week

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 14th September 2009

George: You know I’m and ‘eye for an eye’ kinda girl. So Let me get this straight….You don’t think the way you disrespect women isn’t ‘too cruel’? You don’t think that not letting women have control over their bodies isn’t ‘too cruel’? You don’t think that enslaving women isn’t ‘too cruel’? You don’t think that raping women isn’t ‘too cruel’? As far as I can tell, you can dish it out but you can’t take.

And I don’t want to hear your excuses that these are your god’s laws. You think you can say and do anything because you feel it is your god’s law…the way of the bible. Sorry I don’t buy it, never will, and I’ll never be a god fearing woman. Why would I fear or want to fear god?

In regards to that ‘slut’, oh…I just love that word. Of course it was a man who made the definition of a woman who loves sex derogatory, and the definition of a man who loves sex (stud) complimentary. Another way to control the pussy.

Women: From now on, the word ‘slut’ sits right alongside the word ‘stud’. Girls,  are you with me? Don’t you just love being a ‘slut’? I do. I love sex. Nothing wrong with loving what god gave you in the form of pleasure. :)

So George, call me a ‘slut’, any day of the week. Oh, and the slut that left you. I doubt she’s in  hell…no, I bet she is in heaven every night she goes to bed. Can you hear her screamin’ ‘Oh god!’?

Hit a nerve did I? A real man would hang in there. I mean you expect women to hang in there, don’t you?

Lastly, did I say size was everything? No. George, I’m not knocking you for your small dick. You can’t help it that your god didn’t gift you between the legs. I’m only pointing out, how because of your small dick, you compensate over and over again. So to answer your question,  ”No size isn’t everything, but you certainly think it is by the way you act to compensate for it.” Pity for you, you feel the need to do so. Pity for you, you let the less intelligent head rule your life. Pity for the women in this world that have to put up with and suffer from your bigotry, and those like you, because of this need you have to compensate for your little dick.

So how about a joke?

Zen Lill: You’re gonna love this. Readers: I couldn’t help but add in my own little comments in (red)

An Italian Boy’s Confession

‘Bless me Father, for I have sinned.

I have been with a loose girl’. (He really wanted to say, “I have been with a ‘slut.’”)

The priest asks, ‘Is that you, little Joey Pagano ?’

‘Yes, Father, it is.’

‘And who was the girl you were with?’

‘I can’t tell you, Father. I don’t want to ruin her reputation’. (Are you thinking, “Good little boy. Most want to brag who they’ve been with.” Oh but don’t think he’s such a saint; This little boy has a hidden agenda for his ‘not wanting to ruin her reputation’.)

“Well, Joey, I’m sure to find out her name sooner or later

so you may as well tell me now. Was it Tina Minetti?’

‘I cannot say.’

‘Was it Teresa Mazzarelli?’

‘I’ll never tell.’

‘Was it Nina Capelli?’

‘I’m sorry, but I cannot name her.’

‘Was it Cathy Piriano?’

‘My lips are sealed.’

‘Was it Rosa DiAngelo, then?’

‘Please, Father, I cannot tell you.’

The priest sighs in frustration.

‘You’re very tight lipped, and I admire that.

But you’ve sinned and have to atone.

You cannot be an altar boy now for 4 months.

Now you go and behave yourself.’

Joey walks back to his pew,

and his friend Franco slides over and whispers,

‘What’d you get?’

‘Four months vacation and five good leads.’ (Didn’t I say he had an agenda?. They learn young, yes?)

Ah…men….they knock a woman for sluttin’ around unless they’re the one she’s sluttin’ around with. :)

~~~~~~~
Sikudhani and all of the rest of the girls:  I don’t know how Ruth and Anonz connected up to free you girls but all that matters is that you are free. You no longer need to be in fear. You are safe.  I am so happy for you and the girls. I am so happy and grateful to all of those involved.
Al: I agree with your post ‘American idol’, I just think the title was poorly picked. Although ‘AI’ is a reality show, it is far different from many of the really bad reality shows out there. It is sad that the general public thirsts for them just as sad as they thirst for more cops shows, and movies depicting war, espionage and murder.
Billy: This is fun. Another good one. I like this one: “The short fortune teller who escaped from prison was a small medium at large.” Keep ‘em comin’.
Anonymous #9: My pleasure. We need more humor on this blog sometimes otherwise I get way too too serious. I hope that you find a better barber!
Ruth: You are not monopolizing my blog. I am delighted that we have another regular. I liked your comment too and learned something myself, so thank you.
And especially happy in regards to this past good fortune for Sikudhani and the rest of the girls. I don’t know who you are or what you do, but thank you for reading here so that you became aware of Sikudhani’s situation, and more importantly that you helped do something about it. We need more people in the world like you. And of course a big thank you to Anonz too.
What an inspiring and wonderful story Anna – thank you for sharing. Hi Peter! Hafa Adai.
That’s it for me today. I hope that everyone has a good Monday!
Gratefully your blog host and forever a ‘slut’,
michelle
