Good morning!

Ok, I know publishing these pictures is usually something only republicans would do. The republican party has proven over and over that there is no low they won’t go to in order to win a point or election. They have no shame and apparently no empathy for the angsts of others.

I say the republicans, because although it is mainly the politicians of their party that resort to this type of despicable behavior, the obvious conclusion is they do it because their constituents reward them for it. So to you republicans who attempt your usual false equivalency arguments with “see the Democrats do it too,” I say NO, we are just retaliating in kind.

This may be too deep for your logic, but reacting to disgusting behavior in kind is not the same as initiating it in the first place. So…Let me put it to you in terms you will understand. Shooting someone that attempted to shoot you is NOT the equivalency of initiating the action of shooting someone. Got it?

Republicans have disgraced the Clinton family at every opportunity from body shaming tactics to accusing Hillary of murder. Trump also claimed Ted Cruz’s father was involved with the assassination of President Kennedy. And when questioned by Megyn Kelly about comments he made denigrating women, he didn’t deny that he made them. He reacted by attacking Kelly.

So…I’m going to be the Dem that has the warrior womb, and give this creep a little of his own medicine back. And I am happy to be the one to do it. Trump’s been doing this disgusting stuff for years beginning with the Obama birth certificate crap. To those who for whatever reason feel this is a tiny penis too far, I suggest you remind yourself that the republicans have rewarded this malicious, vilifying creature with the nomination for the office of POTUS.

It is not as if the republicans did not have candidates with the political, intellectual, economic, and foreign policy experience to choose from. Yet, they chose the idiot with the most vitriolic traits, a creature who has no low. If you have ever wondered how a Hitler could get in power, you are witnessing the how in your own time. I don’t know about you, but to me that says more about the people choosing than it does about the candidate chosen. Therefore any pretentious, moral, or ethical objections by any republicans will be treated with the concern their hypocrisy deserves.

The most common trait of bullies, is that they can’t handle receiving the disgusting shit they dish out so readily to others. So to you, “the Donald,” you Lying Sack Of Shit, “How do you like it now?”

You like to go nasty. Here’s your triple dose back.

Yes, it’s tiny. Though not like the hands, more like his tiny brain.

Any comments? Of course you do.

Blog me.

Oh…notice something else in the photos? Lol. A few of my “friends” decided to join me. :))

Happy Saturday! Peace out.

CORRECTION: It was Ted Cruz’s father that Trump claimed was involved with the assassination of President Kennedy, not Mark Rubio’s father, as stated previously.

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

Good Monday morning!

There is so much to blog about when it comes to the Olympics. I made a brief comment about this controversial topic a few days ago. I heard the “booing” toward Yulia Efimova, coming from the audience as she and our American Olympic swimmer Lilly King went head to head for the gold.

The “booing” saddened me because as we all know there are always two sides to a story. So I did a little research as I think it is only fair to bring up the other side. This write caught my eye.

From The Wash Po:

In vilifying Russian swimmer Yulia Efimova, Americans are splashing murky waters

Russian swimmer Yulia Efimova is at the center of Russia’s doping scandal. Here’s what you need to know about her. (Monica Akhtar/The Washington Post)

RIO DE JANEIRO — Feels good, doesn’t it, to slap water in the face of the rest of the world and go all jingoist? Lilly King kept America strong and pure when she sent a blast of chlorine into the eyes of that Russian criminal mastermind Yulia Efimova and prevented her from melting the earth’s core. Or something like that, right? But there is a disquieting aspect to the narrative going here at the Olympics. It’s not a moment of perfect American moral clarity.

King, 19, is a swaggeringly great swimmer, but the rivalry between her and 24-year-old Efimova in the breaststroke is hardly a simple matter of a clean swimmer prevailing over “drug cheating,” as King put it. The facts of Efimova’s case aren’t nearly so clear cut despite the self-righteous Cold War shunning of her. It’s worth looking a little more closely at the human face of Efimova and maybe even standing in her place for a minute. As she suggested tearfully the other night, “You can just try and understand me, like if you switch you and I.”

[‘I’m not this sweet little girl’: Lilly King, doping sheriff, won’t back down]

For starters, Efimova doesn’t live in Russia; she lives in Los Angeles, where she has trained with Southern Cal Coach Dave Salo since she was 19. He says via email, “She is a sweet kid and not the monster she is being branded.” She was born in the war-torn Chechen capital of Grozny and raised in the Russian swim-club system in Volgodonsk, but in 2011, her coaches feared she was wearied by the grind of the Russian program, so they asked Salo to take her on.

Efimova has two offenses for performance-enhancing on her record, and let’s take a closer look at them. One day in 2013 she went to a local GNC in L.A. and bought a nutritional supplement. Her English was poor, and she didn’t check the contents, which included the banned hormone DHEA. Efimova’s offense was deemed unintentional, and the normal two-year suspension was reduced to 16 months.

No American would do such a thing, right? Actually, as NBC correspondent Alan Abrahamson has pointed out, Efimova’s case was very similar to that of Jessica Hardy, banned for ingesting a tainted supplement in 2008 only to win two medals at London 2012. No one splashed water in Hardy’s face or refused to shake her hand.

Salo has coached American champions from Amanda Beard and Rebecca Soni to Aaron Peirsol and Jason Lezak, and he estimates that “90 percent plus” of all international athletes consume some sort of supplement, though he tries to discourage it.

“I lost the battle a long time ago with regards to athletes believing that they need something” for recovery, etc., he said.

Efimova is deemed a chronic cheat here mainly because of her second offense: testing positive for the heart medication meldonium in the midst of the crisis over the exposure of state-sponsored doping in Russia. Meldonium was in broad use by Eastern European athletes legally until WADA prohibited it in January 2016. This spring, WADA declined to ban more than 200 athletes who tested positive for meldonium after January, including Efimova, because it’s unclear how long it takes to clear the system. It’s quite possible that she obeyed the WADA ban but the medication remained in her system anyhow.

Efimova tried to explain these circumstances in her Olympic post-race news conference as King refused to look at her. Here was Efimova’s account of herself, and you can accept it or not.

“I have once when I made mistakes, and I have been banned for 16 months,” she said. “For second time, it’s not my mistakes. Like, I don’t know why actually I need to explain everybody or not. . . . Like if WADA say, like, tomorrow, stop like yogurt or nicotine or, I don’t know, protein, that every athlete use, and they say tomorrow now it’s on banned list. And you stop. But this is stay [in] your body like six months, and doping control is coming, like, after two months, tested you, and you’re positive. This is your fault?”

Salo has qualms about the inclusion in Rio of Efimova and other Russian swimmers who tested positive and has even indefinitely suspended all international swimmers from his Trojan program. But he does not believe in demonizing them for the systemic practices they were reared with in their federations.

“They are unsuspecting pawns in government or federation directives,” he said. “Yulia is a nice woman with too much talent to need performance enhancing supplementation.”

He believes she took meldonium on the advice of her doctor and observes that Eastern Europeans believe heavy training is bad for the system.

“Apparently most of Eastern European athletes think they have to protect their hearts because training is contraindicated,” he said.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Efimova, it’s hard to see how the American censoriousness against her — or any individual athlete — is a solution to state-sponsored doping. And it’s just begging for anti-American backlash. King is just 19, and you would never want to curb her outspokenness or competitiveness. But it’s worth suggesting to her that a lot of beloved American athletes take supplements and use medical assistance not on the banned list. It’s also worth suggesting that she’s never walked a mile in the shoes of someone born in Grozny in 1992.

“Usually in the Olympic Games, all wars stopping,” Efimova said.

Just before Efimova left Los Angeles for Rio, she saw Salo. Her status had been in question for days and her training in chaos as the International Olympic Committee debated and defaulted on the status of Russian athletes.

“At the last minute they said she would be swimming,” Salo says. “I told her it was going to be hard and that she would not be well received. So be prepared for the hardest racing of her life.”

It’s safe to say the racing was not the hard part.

Good morning!

I know that probably every one of you saw Michelle Obama’s speech last night during the first evening of the DNC. In my opinion she is the quintessence of intelligence, grace, style, and beauty. I was so drawn in by her words…so moved by her honesty, and inspired by her optimism. This girl is REAL.

I loved that her speech was all about the children and the future of our country and how Hillary is the girl who will stick in there and persevere, no matter what. Michelle Obama: I hear you. I’m with her too.

Her speech, as many have already stated, will be anthologized, quoted, and replayed for years to come. Let me begin by replaying it for you right now. Unlike the featured article, I am posting the full speech. Enjoy it again.

From the Huff Po:

FLOTUS LIKE A BUTTERFLY STING LIKE A BEE

Michelle Obama: Who Do You Want For Your Children’s Role Model?

The Democratic Convention crowd went wild.

PHILADELPHIA ― First lady Michelle Obama on Monday asked Americans to decide who they want serving as a role model for their children ― Donald Trump orHillary Clinton.

This election, Obama said during her speech at the Democratic National Convention, “is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives.”

The crowd waved purple signs that read simply, “Michelle.”

Obama made clear that this election will determine who will give hope to the next generation, or instill fear.

“Every word we utter, every action we take, we know they are watching,” Obama said. “We as parents are their most important role models.”

That responsibility, Obama said, carries into her role as first lady, and her husband’s job as president.

“We know that our words and actions matter not just to our girls, but to children across this country,” she said.

Taking a jab at Trump and others who have questioned the president’s citizenship and his faith, Obama repeated the advice she and the president have shared with their children.

“When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level,” she said. “No, our motto is: ‘When they go low, we go high.’”

Obama recalled a simple but telling moment her husband shared with a little boy to tell those in Wells Fargo Center and watching across the U.S. that this election comes downs to more than party divisions stirring Democrats as the convention begins.

“Kids like the little black boy who looked up at my husband with eyes wide, and he wondered, ‘Is my hair like yours?’” Obama said. “Make no mistake about it, this November when we go to the polls that is what we are deciding. Not Democrat or Republican. Not left or right.”

And the only person she trusts with the future of her daughters and other American children is Hillary Clinton.

“I want a president who will teach our children that everyone in this country matters,” she said. “I want a president with a record of public service, someone whose life work shows our children that we don’t seek fame and fortune for ourselves.”

A president “can’t have a thin skin or a tendency to lash out,” she said. “You need to be steady and measured and well informed.”

In a nod to disgruntled Bernie Sanders supporters, Obama noted Clinton’s loss to her husband in 2008. “Hillary knows this is so much bigger than her own desires and disappointments.”

Instead, Obama said, Clinton decided to keep coming back to put “cracks in the highest and hardest glass ceiling” and take the country along. It’s that story of America, she said, that brought her to Philadelphia to deliver her speech.

It’s the story of generations who lived their lives in the U.S. feeling the “lash of bondage … the sting of segregation,” but who kept “striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today, I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves.

“And I watch my daughters, two beautiful and intelligent black young women, playing with their dogs on the White House lawn.”

Now, because of Clinton, Obama said her daughters will “take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States.”

💪🏽♀💪🏽

President Obama: You must be so proud. Michelle Obama is a Wonderful Woman Of The World.

Readers: I’m 👉🏼 With Her.

Mike, TM: Thanks for the very informative post. You answered many questions that I had as I was perusing online. As usual the stakes are high. I’m looking forward to hearing how Putin arranged to get the UK out of the EU. I find it fascinating that hours after the Brexit vote, many British frantically googled: ”What is the EU?” and “What will Brexit mean for the UK?” I couldn’t understand why people voted to leave the EU when they weren’t quite sure what their vote to leave would mean. Or was it just Big L, littla a…when it came to getting to the polls to vote or ? Perhaps your revealing of Putin’s antics will expose the truth.

Good morning!

The blog that I posted on Sunday, dealt with women supporting a child abuser by accepting roles in the pedophile’s films. In my opinion, and many may not agree with me, this is showing women not supporting women. Like Irene said, “Shame on you sisters.”

Akilina: Agreed. The question was posed about Allen. So I stand by my previous sentiments with regards to women supporting Allen by starring in his films.

Continuing in that vein of women not supporting women, have you seen the disgusting Anti-Hillary republican convention buttons? Here’s a sample – How’s this for a button?

Here you’ll witness women supporting a party that condones calling a woman a Bitch. (And I don’t mean in a good way.) If a woman gets on a man’s bad side, well then, she’s a Bitch, right? That’s basically what these republican men are saying, and stupid, dumb as a box of rocks white women, are following lockstep, by proudly wearing these buttons too.

This is how a woman who has been the First Lady, a U.S. Senator, a Secretary of State, is being treated by Trump and his supporters. Mean-spirited at best, and insanely disgusting at worst.

The sickness doesn’t stop at the Bitch button. Here’s the write from Variety:

Anti-Hillary Misogyny at GOP Convention Reflects Us-Vs.-Them Culture (Commentary)

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The first thing I saw as I pulled off the thruway here to begin covering the Republican National Convention was a small plane towing a banner that proclaimed “Hillary for Prison 2016.”

I’ve seen those signs and that sentiment about Hillary Clinton’s qualifications to serve as president increase in volume and ferocity during the past few months. It came as no surprise that criticism of Clinton’s legacy as Secretary of State would be prominent during the GOP’s four-day gathering to formally anoint Donald Trump as the party’s contender for the White House.

But there were other anti-Hillary sentiments on display on the streets of Cleveland that stopped me in my tracks.

Even for the blood sport that is national politics, some of the items for sale or on display on the streets of downtown Cleveland’s stylish Playhouse Square district were shockingly misogynistic. To be clear, these are not RNC-sanctioned souvenirs but rather items whipped by opportunistic vendors. (Nor were any such items on the shelves at the RNC’s “Freedom Marketplace” bazaar set up next to the Quicken Loans Arena.)

There’s nothing wrong with grassroots capitalism. Adam Smith’s invisible hand guided a handful of entrepreneurs to believe that there was a market for political buttons featuring an unflattering picture of Clinton with the slogan “Life’s a bitch. Don’t vote for one.” Or even worse: “KFC Hillary Special: 2 Fat Thighs, 2 Small Breasts … Left Wing.”

Another man donned a rubber Hillary face mask and parked himself on the narrow street leading to the Quicken Loans Arena in front of a “Trump vs. Tramp” sandwich board sign. He handed out a flier that railed, in single-space type on both sides of the page, on all manner of perceived Clinton sins, including the death toll in what he termed “Hillary’s Arab Spring” and her “EXTREMELY CARELESS AND GROSSLY NEGLIGENT” use of private email during her tenure at the State Department.

These attacks on Clinton veer well beyond political differences and policy fights. These are below-the-belt personal attacks on her physical appearance and her character outside the public arena. These are vile barbs hurled at her because she is a woman.

For sure, they reflect an anger that is fueled by partisan disagreements, no doubt, but escalating to a whole new level of nasty that a male candidate would never face. It’s hard to imagine someone making a button ridiculing the size of Donald Trump’s pectoral muscles. He’s faced a lot of teasing about his hair but that’s still a far cry from the “KFC Hillary Special.”

The anti-Hillary venom reflects the broader “us vs. them” fears roiling the country in this most divisive election cycle. The extreme examples of this have become frighteningly all too frequent, from police shootings of unarmed African-American men to sniper attacks on police officers.

Much of the focus of cultural commentators has been on the tensions among ethnic and racial groups in an increasingly multicultural America. Some of the unease has been exploited by the rhetoric of the Trump campaign. Trump himself has reveled in level of political discourse during the campaign with his unfiltered shoot-from-the-lip — one that extended into his (now settled) feud with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly and his commentary on his own penis size during a primary debate.

But the jaw-dropping low blows making the rounds in Cleveland would probably even make Trump cringe. They are a sobering reminder of just how far women in politics still have to come just to face a level playing field for criticism on the issues rather than her bra size.

That this kind of sophomoric attitude would surface in 2016, as Clinton achieves an elusive milestone in the history of women in this great nation, is a heartbreaking commentary on our culture and our times.

*****

Readers: First of all, I don’t think Trump would cringe at any of this. If he did, why doesn’t he say something and put a stop to it?

Secondly, this is my feelings…if you get on the wrong side of your man, you have accepted that you too are a Bitch because you’re wearing the Bitch button proudly. Do you get that?

That’s how dumb some white women are. Did I say that already? I believe it’s worth repeating.

It’s one thing to not be voting for Hillary because you’re supporting Trump (Ok, so the logic escapes me there), but it is also another thing to accept that you too are a Bitch if you get on the bad side of men. YOU are sending a message to the world that you are accepting the demeaning role that is presented in the form of a button that you are wearing. I ask again, “Do you get that?”

How could any self-respecting woman accept a party that would label a woman a Bitch, not to mention pinning a Bitch button onto her chest, knowing that she is labeling herself as one should she get on the wrong side of any man? Stupidly, many are.

According to this logic, that means Trump was correct when he called Megyn Kelly a Bitch because she evidently got on the bad side of him, and FOX fans had a field day, when they called her a Bitch over 423 times in the media.

We women have enough to deal with when it comes to sexism and misogyny, we don’t need our sisters to add fuel to the flame. When will women woman-up to men?

I agree with the writer. Here we have history…a first for women. And men are trying to do whatever they can to stay in control and prevent women from rising. It’s just heartbreaking to see how disrespectful people are treating Hillary and womankind.

It’s time, and no one is going to stop us.

Thoughts? Blog me.

Good Morning!

From my neck of the woods. I love this story of strength, on the ball (literally!) and just down right kick ass, courage. A Wonderful Woman of The World in my book.

From the San Francisco Chronicle:

Nation’s oldest park ranger returns to work after violent attack

Betty Reid Soskin, 94, greets a cousin, Kirk Allen, at the Rosie the Riveter visitor center where she tells visitors about growing up in Richmond.

With her bruises healed and her spirits bolstered by scores of well-wishers, the nation’s oldest park ranger returned to work Tuesday eager to get back to her normal routine after being beaten in her East Bay home two weeks ago by a robber who stole a prize coin given to her by President Obama.

Betty Reid Soskin, 94, was calm and composed as she returned to the Rosie the Riveter World War II Home Front National Historical Park on Richmond’s waterfront, greeting a crowd of fellow park rangers and volunteers with smiles and hugs as they welcomed her back.

“I don’t think there was any way to prepare myself for this morning,” Soskin told the crowd. “It’s good to see all of you, and to feel the support the community has given me.”

She bristled at being referred to as a victim.

Soskin hugs friends and co-workers as she returns to work after the June 27 attack in her home during which she was beaten and robbed.

The White House is sending a replacement coin to 94-year-old Betty Soskin, who says she hopes she can recover the original from violent home intruder The oldest park ranger in the US suffered a violent home invasion in which the suspect stole a commemorative coin Barack Obama gave to the 94-year-old woman, according to California police.

“I was almost obsessive about not wanting to look like a victim because I didn’t feel like a victim,” Soskin said.

Betty Reid Soskin returns to her job as park ranger at the Rosie the Riveter visitor center in Richmond after the attack June 27.

She recalled going to bed around 11 p.m. on the night of June 26 only to be awakened two hours later by a hooded burglar standing in her bedroom with a flashlight.

She crept out of bed and grabbed her cell phone, but before she could call for help the prowler threw his arms around her and wrestled her phone away. Soskin screamed as the robber dragged her into the hallway and punched her repeatedly in the face. She was able to escape by grabbing his genitals and then running into the bathroom, where she barricaded herself with her feet against the doorway and her back against a cabinet.

She plugged in her iron and had it ready to use as a weapon if he entered the bathroom. She stayed put for about 45 minutes until she was sure he had gone.

“If he had opened the door, I was going to brand him for the police,” Soskin said.

Following the attack, she went to a neighbor’s home to call the police. They have yet to identify the attacker, or recover the commemorative presidential coin Obama gave her.

She said she is nervous about learning the identity of her attacker.

“I almost need him to remain in the shadows,” she said. “I don’t think I want him to become real.”

Public outcry has been swift and widespread since the robbery, with community members and people across the nation offering support to Soskin during her recovery.

The White House has promised to replace the stolen coin, according to Tom Leatherman, the park’s superintendent. More than $50,000 has been raised to help her replace the stolen items, which included her computer and cell phone.

Just as widespread has been admiration for Soskin’s strength in the face of such a brutal assault. It was a feat to keep her away from the park for even two weeks, Leatherman said. She wanted to come back the moment her bruises had faded.

“I still struggle, but I don’t feel as vulnerable as I did,” Soskin said. “I can stay alone.”

Betty Reid Soskin, 94, takes part in TV interview on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Rosie the Riveter visitor center in Richmond, California. This is the first time Soskin will be back in the visitor center to conduct her regular ranger program since she was a victim of a home invasion attack on the morning of June 27, 2016

Soskin became a park ranger at the age of 85, a career move inspired in part by her desire to share her own experience of being a young African American woman in Richmond during World War II. She hosts a regular talk, “Of Lost Conversations,” at the park’s visitor center in which she discusses her time as a 20-year-old clerk working in a segregated union hall in Richmond. The city was a shipbuilding center, but she never saw a ship under construction or a ship being launched.

“She doesn’t identify with Rosie the Riveter — a white woman,” said Sue Fritzke, the park’s deputy superintendent. “What she tries to do is flesh out the history, not just of women in World War II, but of African Americans and people with disabilities.”

Since the attack, family and community members, including Soskin’s two sons, have come out in full force to ensure she feels safe in the community. Soskin has had a burglar alarm system installed in her home, where she lives alone.

Victim Witness Assistance Program offered to relocate her after the robbery, but she refused. She said Tuesday that she feels safest in her apartment, where she was known by neighbors and local police.

Soskin is still sleeping with her light on to maintain peace of mind, but on Tuesday she navigated the park center and prepared to interact with visitors without a trace of fear.

“Betty is a woman of resilience,” said her former co-worker Kimiko De Pedro. “She is authentic in how she speaks to the public and that is what makes people connect to her.”
