“Just Noticing”: Observations Of A Blogger

Good morning!

“Just noticing…”

…It has been awhile since I posted anything on health. How are you all feeling out there? This is for you parents with children who are susceptible to ear infections. I know as a child I was, so this may be very helpful and illuminating:

Kids Given This Have 22 Times the Rate of Ear Infections

By Dr. Mercola

In the first video above, Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) summarizes one of the most important scientific reviews on vaccines that was just published in August.

Barbara has been a pioneer for the last 30 years in vaccine safety and informed consent, and this discussion is of grave importance to everyone, including pediatricians and doctors.

What You Must Know about the Latest Vaccine Safety Review by IOM

The report was released by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), which is part of the National Academy of Sciences.

They’ve been around for over 100 years. The institute analyzes health policies and issues advice to the US government.

They’re funded not just by the government but also by pharmaceutical companies and independent philanthropic organizations and individuals.

They are considered a very prestigious scientific body in the world.

In the last three decades, the IOM has reviewed vaccine safety several times.

Their first reports came out in 1991 and 1994.

However, the latest report on this issue, released in August 2011 is very significant, and many still do not understand its true importance.

Over a period of three years, they reviewed over 1,000 studies on vaccines. Interestingly, they excluded studies funded by the pharmaceutical industry, although some of the studies were funded by government agencies independently.

The review focused on eight vaccines:

Hepatitis A-hepatitis B Measles, mumps and rubella vaccine Meningococcal vaccine Pneumococcal vaccine
Diphtheria, tetanus and acellular pertussis, also known as DTaP or Tdap Varicella zoster (chickenpox) HPV vaccine Influenza vaccine

Perhaps the most important thing IOM did in this review is that they looked at two categories of science:

  1. Epidemiological research (large studies comparing different groups of people against each other)
  2. Bench science (research into the biological mechanisms at work within cells and molecules)

“This is very important because a lot of the studies that the CDC relies on as evidence that vaccines don’t cause any problems are epidemiological studies. This report is important because they looked at both kinds of science,” Barbara explains. “The most shocking conclusion of this report is that for more than a hundred bad health outcomes that have been reported after these eight vaccines have been given to people, they could not come to a conclusion as to whether or not those vaccines did or did not cause those adverse events!”

Some of those serious health problems included:

Multiple sclerosis Lupus Encephalitis (brain inflammation)
Rheumatoid arthritis Autism Encephalopathy, involving permanent brain damage

Why Couldn’t IOM Conclude Whether Vaccines are Causative Factors?

Why is it that the IOM was unable to determine whether there was a direct causative link between vaccines and the many serious health outcomes indicated in these studies? Barbara suggests four potential explanations:

  1. The studies were not available in the published literature
  2. There were too few studies showing the same link
  3. The available studies were methodologically unsound
  4. The available studies were conflicting (i.e. there was evidence both for and against)

Says Barbara:

“What I call this category is the ‘We Don’t Know’ category. When you think about it, these vaccines are mandated for children, and yet in most instances the scientific evidence [of safety] is so poor, they don’t know! When the report came out there were a lot of organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics that came forth and said, “They didn’t find causation… So vaccines are safe.” That’s NOT what that report said at all. I think people need to understand the significance of it… [T]he category of ‘We Don’t Know’ is a very important category…”

Individual Susceptibility was Discussed as a Co-Factor

The IOM report also discussed individual susceptibility; the fact that some people are more susceptible for biological reasons, including genetic reasons, to having an adverse event after a vaccination. According to the report, both epidemiologic and mechanistic research suggests that most individuals who experience an adverse reaction to vaccines have a preexisting susceptibility. However, the report also states that in most cases they don’t know what those individual susceptibilities are.

“They have taken a look and listed some that they believe are important,” Barbara says

Potential predispositions suggested in the report include:

  • Genetic variation
  • Age
  • Coinciding illness
  • Environmental factors

“Every physician who gives a vaccine should read this 600-page report,” Barbara says.  “That it is their responsibility because this is the latest report on the science of vaccination; of what’s in the published literature.

They really need to take it seriously because if a patient that they vaccinate, whether it’s an adult or a child, has a deterioration in health after a vaccination… [the doctor] needs to not blow that off and say that’s just a coincidence.  They need to take it seriously and make a report to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), not to the manufacturer (who we know doesn’t give the CDC and FDA the proper information for them to follow up). You need to report to the government.

And you need to not give that person another vaccination, unless you know for sure that that health problem was not caused by the vaccine.  And guess what?  Science says in all these categories they don’t know.  So the precautionary principle of “first do no harm,” that has got to be responsibility of every physician giving a vaccine.”

Many Parents Now Buck the System

About 13 percent of parents are now using an “alternative” vaccination schedule for their young children, according to a recent survey.  And two percent of parents are refusing vaccines altogether for their children.

According to Reuters:

“The Internet survey included 748 parents of kids between the ages of six months and six years. Of those, 13 percent said they used some type of vaccination schedule that differed from the CDC recommendations. That included refusing some vaccines or delaying vaccines until kids were older — mostly because parents thought that ‘seemed safer.’”

Among the parents who do follow the recommended childhood vaccination schedule, 28 percent still stated they think it would indeed be safer to delay the use of vaccines, and that the current vaccination schedule is far from ideal.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) vaccination schedule for children aged six and younger includes vaccines for measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, chicken pox, hepatitis, seasonal flu, and others. All in all, U.S. children are expected to get 48 doses of 14 vaccines by the time they’re six years old. By age 18, federal public health officials say they should have gotten a total of 69 doses of 16 vaccines.

Is this safe and beneficial in the short- and/or long-term? No one really knows, primarily because large studies comparing the health outcomes of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children have not been a priority for vaccine researchers. Most vaccine studies are about developing more vaccines for children and adults to use.

Some claim studies comparing the health of highly vaccinated and unvaccinated children cannot be done because it would be “unethical” to leave children participating in the study unvaccinated in order to do the comparison.

But since there are numbers of American parents, who are already delaying or avoiding vaccinating their children altogether,  this hardly seems like a reasonable excuse. It seems more likely that comparing the health of vaccinated and unvaccinated children in appropriately designed studies are avoided because the results might upset the proverbial apple cart.

Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated: Survey Reveals Who’s Healthier

However, that doesn’t mean there is a total absence of evidence about the health of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children to give us an indication of whether or not the use of many more vaccines by children is contributing to their being chronically ill. In December 2010, a survey was initiated by VaccineInjury.info to compare the health of vaccinated children with unvaccinated children. To date over 7,850 surveys have been submitted, and the study is ongoing, so if you have an unvaccinated child (or are unvaccinated yourself) and would like to submit your child’s health data, you can do so here.

Though this is obviously not a double-blind controlled study, and depends on the individuals submitting the data to give accurate information, it is still revealing. So far, the results show:

Health Condition Prevalence in Vaccinated Children Prevalence in Unvaccinated Children
Allergies 40% report at least one allergy Less than 10%
Asthma 6% 2.5%
Hayfever 10.7% of German children 2.5%
Neurodermatitis (an autoimmune disorder) 13% of German children 7%
ADHD 8% of German children, and another nearly 6% with borderline cases 1-2%
Middle ear infections 11% of German children Less than 0.5%
Sinusitis Over 32% of German children Less than 1%
Autism Approximately 1 in 100 Only 4 cases out of 7,800+ surveys (one child tested very high for metals, and another’s mother tested very high for mercury)

Are the Risks All in Your Head?

CNN sounds like an advertisement for Big Pharma in this featured article, using a combination of scare-tactics and guilt-tripping trigger points, such as “parents have no knowledge of the diseases their children are being inoculated against,” and “not only do unvaccinated children run the risk of becoming ill or worse, but they also endanger others who don’t have the option to vaccinate.”

Personally, I don’t believe either of those statements reflect what’s really happening. I believe the parents, who are taking a stand against their children being given too many vaccines, are the ones, who have taken the time to become informed and have carefully analyzed and evaluated the risks and benefits for their children.

As just discussed above, the only conclusion the IOM could reach after reviewing the available (independent) research is that we don’t know if all of these vaccines, individually or together, are in fact safe.

The media would have you believe that those who refuse vaccines are ignorant but when you examine the facts, mothers with college educations and higher incomes are actually LESS likely to vaccinate their children than those with less education.

Besides, I don’t think any parent, who is coming up against doctors throwing them out of their offices for refusing to use every recommended vaccine or wanting to use an individualized vaccination schedule, in this age of Big Pharma brainwashing, would even consider bucking the system without having good solid reason for doing so. After all, the price of nonconformity runs the gamut from being vilified by other parents and health professionals to being resolutely kicked out of some pediatricians’ offices!

The fact is that delaying and/or opting out of some vaccines can indeed be a safer alternative to maintaining good health. Whether or not it’s the most appropriate course of action for a particular child or adult can only be determined on a case-by-case basis. Each person is different, and it is these individual biological and environmental exposure differences that make a mass-vaccination policy so hazardous.

For example, the health of a child’s gut flora can significantly influence the risk of suffering vaccine complications and chronic health problems. For more information about this, please see my interview with Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride.

Good morning!

”Just noticing”….while on a walk with Lucy...

Readers: My wishes as well.

Mike: Ya know what..I can’t just “forget it”. That would be giving up. I just can’t give up on the president, and I can’t just give up on our country. I realize the republicans won’t do shit to support him, and in fact will do everything in their power to stop him form being successful.

I don’t care what white America wants. There are plenty of Americans that want him to succeed and we just have to keep at it. But if I give up, and we all give up, we’ve lost, and they’ve won. So I can’t just say “fuck it and forget it”. Readers who have been around long enough know this about me. I refuse to lose to a party that  cares more about seeing Obama fail than seeing our country flourish.

Robert: I wish there was an “or  what?”, but there isn’t. We’re stuck with the sociopaths.

Peter: And how long have they been doing this until they discovered it “made no sense”? How many other stupid things are down with our tax dollars?

David: I love your comment. Have you told your sister that?

Zea: Please clarify what you mean when you say, “….these people don’t deserve this place”. Do you mean the women don’t deserve the City of Joy? And if so, why would you say that?

Betty: Thanks for posting about The Women’s Wilderness Institute., and particularly the program for America’s female veterans. I had not heard of that organization nor the program, but it is certainly needed and I HOPE does the women good.

Irene: Yes, I have noticed. And to answer your question with respect to your husband, he doesn’t want to tax the millionaires because he thinks that someday he is going to be one of those wealthy millionaires -  He doesn’t realize that he never will be.

May peace prevail on Earth…

“Just Noticing…”

  • First our bodies…now our minds.

So..what do I mean by that statement? This is just a response to what Anonymous(s) wrote the other day with respect to women and our rights.

Iowa Woman Jailed for Thinking about an Abortion

Sounds far-fetched, right?  Well it isn’t.  The anti-choice zealots aren’t content to limiting a woman’s access to safe and legal abortion, they’re now thought police:

Ms. Taylor became light-headed and fell down a flight of stairs in her home. Paramedics rushed to the scene and ultimately declared her healthy. However, since she was pregnant with her third child at the time, Taylor thought it would be best to be seen at the local ER to make sure her fetus was unharmed. That’s when things got really bad and really crazy. Alone, distraught, and frightened, Taylor confided in the nurse treating her that she hadn’t always been sure she’d wanted this baby, now that she was single and unemployed. She’d considered both adoption and abortion before ultimately deciding to keep the child. The nurse then summoned a doctor, who questioned her further about her thoughts on ending the pregnancy. Next thing Taylor knew, she was being arrested for attempted feticide. Apparently the nurse and doctor thought that Taylor threw herself down the stairs on purpose.

Yes, as if Ms. Taylor’s existing problems weren’t enough, the anti-choice zealots got her jailed for 2 days for thinking of having an abortion, even though she voluntarily went to the ER to assure the health of her fetus.  Funny how “pro-lifers” have never met a victim they don’t want to punish.  After three weeks, the District Attorney declined to prosecute, but not because of the obvious encroachment on a woman’s right to choose (similar laws for which this woman was held exist in 37 states), but because she was only in her second trimester, and not third when she fell.  No I’m not making this up, and unfortunately Ms. Taylor isn’t alone:

Last March, Florida resident Samantha Burton was in week 25 of her pregnancy when she paid a visit to her doctor. Burton was showing signs of potential miscarriage, so her physician ordered bed rest. Burton explained that, as a working mother of two toddlers, bed rest simply wasn’t a viable option and then proceeded to ask for a second medical opinion. Seems reasonable, right? Her doctor, however, was having none of that. Rather than refer Burton for the desired second opinion, he instead felt it necessary to contact state authorities, who then proceeded to force Burton to be admitted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital against her will and undergo any procedure the doctor felt like prescribing. When Burton had the audacity to request a change in the hospital in which she was being treated, the court denied her request. Three days into her forced hospitalization, Burton miscarried.

Being forced to miscarry in a hospital bed for 3 days, to the anti-choice zealots it’s wonderful, who cares about the traumatic effect on the woman and her toddlers left at home?

In other news of anti-choice “victories”, last March a Pennsylvanian teenager who sought an abortion without parental consent, was denied because the judge found her incapable of making an informed decisionbecause she had bad grammar:

After questioning her for more than an hour, the judge decided that she couldn’t have the abortion, ruling she was not mature and capable of making an informed decision about the procedure. The decision surprised her lawyer, Randall McKinney of the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel, because bypass petitions are rarely denied. In his March 24 opinion, Judge Ignelzi wrote that he found the teenager wasn’t mature because, among other reasons, she had used bad grammar and had not asked her parents for permission. He also was not persuaded that the teenager’s trip overseas several years earlier with her mother demonstrated maturity. His next step was ruling that the abortion was not in the teenager’s best interest.

Not surprisingly the Judge was endorsed by People Concerned for the Unborn Child and LifePAC of Southwestern Pennsylvania.  Somehow the Judge determined she was mature enough to be a mother to a child, but not enough to make her own decisions regarding her reproductive organs.  Leave it to “pro-lifers” to make the best choices for the rest of us…even if it means confining a woman to a hospital-bed against her will, jailing them for having thought of an abortion, or denying the choice to a teenager because of her grammar.

**********

Readers: I’m trying to “just notice”, and not “judge”, but this one is just begging to be judged. How can I not judge someone, when that someone is judging women just for thinking something…When women are now being arrested for their thoughts…for their judgements with respect to their own bodies?

What world are we living in when a woman can’t even think freely about her own body?

Thoughts? Bitches?  Rants? Blog me.

“Just Noticing”: Observations of a blogger

Good morning!

“Just noticing”….

  • I have three days of comments from all of you that I need to read. And yes, I do have a few things to say to some of you.

Zen Lill: I have barely had a moment to read comments from my readers, let alone cruise to peruse your blog or any other, sorry to say. Oh, and I have tried the grass fed Buffalo too. It’s not bad – it’s a tad dry for my liking, and a little more gamey,  but a good alternative to cow for some. I HOPE all is going well with you!

Social Butterfly: Thank for the invite. Next time e-mail me and let me know where you’re going and I’ll try to stop by, say hello and party with you and your girls.

And sorry for your posts getting stuck in “awaiting moderation”. I have a limit of 2 links per article. If you have more than 2 it will wait for me to approve it before it gets posted. This is to prevent spammers. If you want your article to be posted immediately, give the “www” address without the “http://” in front of it, otherwise you will need to wait until I check my blog, as I did in the later afternoon before it will be visible to all.  I HOPE that is helpful. Oh and I signed your petitions. Thanks for posting!

Janice: Well, at least you know for the future. I know it is a bit more pricey, but if you don’t mind me suggesting grass fed, free range meat. Stay away from the big farms who not only infect their animals but don’t treat them humanely.

Nancy: How you could’ve known is a mystery to me. Nobody should be blaming you for something that you had no control over. Your husband was fucking around, got caught, and you’re the victim. Once again, the innocent victim is blamed, just like some people in society blame the girl who got raped instead of blaming the rapist.

I just love the way men think they can have it the way they want it with no repercussions. This guy probably killed his wife because he could not imagine losing her and knowing that she would be fucking someone else but him. Men think it is perfectly alright to sneak around, but god forbid if he found his wife doing the same same. So how do we prevent that from happening? kill the bitch. Not every man would, but some do. Still…that’s not your issue. You are innocent in this.

Anonymous: I think surenough’s answer to your question was interesting and makes a valid point. Money used to never rank number one for me, although it is much more important to me than it used to be. However, although it’s very important to me, I can tell you it’s not my number one.

I’ve seen wealthy people who aren’t happy, who would give anything to find their true love to share their wealth with…and where no amount of money can cure them of their disease.

Happiness is very important, and ranks at the top for me. I view it this way…as long as I am happy, I must have everything else (money, health, love or whatever makes me happy) in that given moment, no matter how abundant or how little, otherwise I wouldn’t be happy. As long as I am happy, I know I have what I want – So to me happiness brings it all, and I want it all.

Although fame…fame is not big on my list. I want to be able to walk the street and keep my private life private if I want. So although fame may happen for me,  it is not that important to me, and therefore ranks last.

Lastly, if you believe in the law of attraction, here’s a little quote from The Secret Daily Teachings:

If you have “needing money” in your vibration, then you will keep attracting needing money. You have to find a way of being happy NOW, feeling good NOW, and being in joy NOW, without the money, because those great feelings are how you will feel with the money.

Money doesn’t bring happiness – but happiness brings money.

Joel: Well know we know what kind of man you are. I’m with Nikki. 25 is a good number to start. Men: Leave the women alone and go out and kill each other if you must kill.

Hector: I would love to change the subject about men being “dogs”. So give me a good reason to, instead of just asking to change the subject. I would love to say how fabulous men are. Some men are but many more are dogs, and I’m being nice  here. So how about the men changing…stop abusing women. You do that and we won’t have to call men dogs anymore. At least when it comes to the treatment of women. Other atrocities men commit…well we’ll have to deal with them one at a time. FYI: If you’r sick of hearing it, imagine how women feel.

Kelli: Happy to hear you have been a loyal reader. Thanks for your comments.  I liked the way the author began her write too. I wasn’t knocking the author, (I HOPE it didn’t come across that I was)…just making a point that the way she began her article, pointing out the way men have screwed up the world, drove the point home that yes, “women should rule the world.”

Zenali: I could not resist saying hello to you. Welcome to my blog. How’s it going up there? I HOPE you are well.

************

Now…I realize I am running late to post, so I must end my comments to all of you.

But in response to all of the chitchat on the blog about sex without condoms and the dangers, it inspires me to discuss the latest hot topic of Arnold, his wife, and the love child conceived obviously sans condom, as an example.

This one’s for you Connie, and anyone else interested in their well-being. Because believe me, no one and I mean no one is going to care more about your health than you.

This recent story about Arnold is about more than just a cheating husband that has unprotected sex that results in an illegitimate child. Albeit the child also suffers because it may never have the love and relationship of its true half brothers and sisters and other relatives of the cheating father. But there are other potentially lethal consequences to this incredibly selfish behavior of men.

Unprotected sex by men carries with it the potential to kill millions of women every year!

When will men learn to put a jacket on it? The fact that he was fucking his aide without a rubber means that Maria has every sexually transmitted infection that the aide has and whoever else the aide may have been fucking uncovered and whoever they etc, etc,.

That is the reason so many women die from cervical cancer. The men who are immune to many of the bacterial diseases they pick up from unprotected sex pass them along from woman to woman. The women may never show symptoms but the diseases will go into hibernation, all the while signaling abnormal grow in the cells of her uterus or cervix or other organs in her body until one day she discovers she has cervical or some other form of cancer.

Organized Medicine has known for decades that cervical cancer is caused by Chlamydia. They are aware that many of the diseases that women get are started by the various bacteria and viral strains that men pass sexually on to women. Many of the strains when re-introduced into an already affected woman mutate into sometimes unrecognized pathogens that bore through the woman’s body causing a myriad of diseases and ailments.

Men and religion conspire to keep these secrets from women. If women knew there would be less forgiving the husband who gets a another woman pregnant because she would know that this signals that she must be checked for bacterial and viral infections he may have passed on to her. The sad truth is the majority of the time she will never discover the damage he as done to her body until a decade or so has passed.

I bring this up because Arnold fathered this child 14 years ago. Just where does that leave Maria with respect to her health and a decade of unchecked bacteria and viral infections that he may have passed to her without her knowledge.

Can you see how dangerous this is for Maria and other women who are married to careless cheating husbands who don’t put a jacket on it?

New laws would have to be passed to deal with the fact that unprotected sex by men cause death and various degrees of medical assault upon their wives and girlfriends. How does one access the damage cause to the legal spouse of a man who is passing on lethal bacterial and viral organisms to her because he is having unprotected sexual encounters?

Men are not willing to face that dilemma so they get the medical profession like the AMA whose leadership has never met a bribe they wouldn’t take to lie by omission. Tens of millions of women die every year from diseases they would not have encountered but for the unprotected sex of their spouses or significant male partners.

As a woman when you discover your mate has been having unprotected sexual encounters consider this fact about chlamydia which is just one of the thousands of variations sexually transmitted microscopic deadly organism he may have passed on to you. If women knew how far would a “I’m sorry” go? It would go nowhere and mean nothing. And yet men still fuck without a condom all of the time.

CHLAMYDIA – Chlamydia is a major infectious cause of human genital and eye disease. Chlamydia infection is one of the most common sexually transmitted infectionsworldwide; it is estimated that about 1 million individuals in the United States are infected with chlamydia.[2]

C. trachomatis is naturally found living only inside human cells. Chlamydia can be transmittedduring vaginal, anal, or oral sex, and can be passed from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth.

Between half and three-quarters of all women who have a chlamydia infection of the neck of the womb (cervicitis) have no symptoms and do not know that they are infected.

In men, infection of the urethra (urethritis) is usually symptomatic, causing a white discharge from the penis with or without pain on urinating (dysuria).

Occasionally, the condition spreads to the upper genital tract in women (causing pelvic inflammatory disease) or to the epididymis in men (causing epididymitis). If untreated, chlamydial infections can cause serious reproductive and other health problems with both short-term and long-term consequences.

One would think the least the cheating bastard should do is to protect his wife or significant other from harm. But the selfish bastard are only concerned with their pleasure. So the Arnold Schartzneggers of the world go around infecting and killing women with their diseased dicks.

Comments? Blog me.

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

Gratefully your blog host,
