Monday Morning Chitchat
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 19th March 2012
Good morning!
Happy Monday everyone! Okay so life has been busier than I can handle at the moment, so unfortunately parts of my life suffer and don’t get the attention they deserves. My blog is one of them. But hey, I’m catching up.
Social Butterfly: I had to go back and read a comment that you posted a few days ago because I found it to be so important when it comes to us girls. In case my readers missed it, I am reposting it here again. It begs the question again why any woman would vote republican when the republicans show that they have little care when it comes to women, our health and our rights. It is a war on women, and we need to stop it. Enough cannot be said…enough cannot be repeated, so here it is again:
My friends and myself think that we are at a tipping point in the US with politics and women’s rights right now. There’s no way the GOP is not going down. They are going to implode. The recent congressional hearings on women’s health with no women representing looks just like RJ Reynolds testifying on tobacco safety. There is a GOP war on women!
1) Republicans not only want to reduce women’s access to abortion care, they’re actually trying to redefine rape. After a major backlash, they promised to stop. But they haven’t yet. Shocker.
2) A state legislator in Georgia wants to change the legal term for victims of rape, stalking, and domestic violence to “accuser.” But victims of other less gendered crimes, like burglary, would remain “victims.”
3) In South Dakota, Republicans proposed a bill that could make it legal to murder a doctor who provides abortion care. (Yep, for real.)
4) Republicans want to cut nearly a billion dollars of food and other aid to low-income pregnant women, mothers, babies, and kids.
5) In Congress, Republicans have a bill that would let hospitals allow a woman to die rather than perform an abortion necessary to save her life.
6) Maryland Republicans ended all county money for a low-income kids’ preschool program. Why? No need, they said. Women should really be home with the kids, not out working.
7) And at the federal level, Republicans want to cut that same program, Head Start, by $1 billion. That means over 200,000 kids could lose their spots in preschool.
8) Two-thirds of the elderly poor are women, and Republicans are taking aim at them too. A spending bill would cut funding for employment services, meals, and housing for senior citizens.
9) Congress just voted for a Republican amendment to cut all federal funding from Planned Parenthood health centers, one of the most trusted providers of basic health care and family planning in our country. (Surprised here? Look at the Susan G. Komen debacle.)
10) And if that wasn’t enough, Republicans are pushing to eliminate all funds for the only federal family planning program. (For humans. But Republican Dan Burton has a bill to provide contraception for wild horses. You can’t make this stuff up).
Lisa #3 today was spot on. Protest at moveon.org: http://front.moveon.org/the-gop-overlooked-one-thing-when-they-started-this-war-on-women/

Chris: Thank you for the recognition and kind words. I wish more men felt as you do.
Simon: Thanks for putting your thoughts into a comment for the first time. I think it is wonderful that you and Chris above feel this way, but I also HOPE you’ll both do something in support. I find that I meet quite a few men who are in support of women and our health needs/rights etc., but that it goes only so far. We need men…good men to be on our sides taking action as well. if you’re doing that - Bravo! If not, I HOPE the things that are written here inspire you.
And then…there’s men like Ben and Willis….and Palin lovin’ women like Marsha. Yes guys, we need all the help we can get.
Katy: Thanks for sharing your story. If my readers missed it – here is the article that you were referring to. I also watched some of the kids interviewed and it was incredible some of the things kids endure from the bullies. Kids should be able to watch this. Hence, I agree with you; I signed.
Lois: Nice assessment and great question. Some men are not only stupid, lazy and opportunisticI I think Irene, said it well….the BS just keeps flowing. I nominate him for the LSOS Club – don’t you think? In fact, I think I’ll add a page on my blog and post the members.
Dhakiya: I am sorry, I cannot tell from your name if you are a man or woman. My guess is you are a man, So…if you are a man, I ask: Why should I help the men when they have little care for their women? Why would I protect men from an evil man, when the men are just as evil to their women, and the women are the ones who need protection? I will give help to the men only if the men stand up and support their women, and end this second class BS.
Zen Lill: Thanks for the call – returned it yesterday. We’ll keep trying! HOPE all is good with you.
Al: Thank you so much for the compliment. I have been told such things by many men who have met me. I gather you must’ve read “General Info’s” comment, However, you forgot to add the “bottom slice compliment” that would’ve completed your “complaint sandwich”.
But no matter, I get your drift. And yes you are 100% correct, I do have penis envy…in two ways:
1) I do wish that I had a dick sometimes – truly I do – because this pussy of mine is soo good, (believe me the moans of pleasure that escape the lips of men who have had this delight between my thighs, tell me it is so), I would love to know what it feels like to fuck it – seriously.
2) On the other hand, I’m envying all of the women out there who are getting some dick. It’s been awhile for me, and my needs have yet to be met. So yes, I could use some “professional help” in the worst way…in the form of a “medicinal fuck”. Got anyone in mind who can fill this need? I realize you’re not up for the task…pity. Oh well…
With respect to being a good or bad roll model for womanhood – we’ll leave that decision up to the girls. Once again, men trying to make decisions for women – will it ever end?
Readers: Love me or hate me…I’m going to be here for at least awhile longer. Blog me.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,
