who owns your home?

I million homes were foreclosed on last year. Another million are expected this year. 60 minutes did a segment last night that is so illuminating in so many areas, it is disheartening to say the least, and very scary when you break it down and look at what all of this means on a larger scale.

If you are having a difficult time paying your mortgage, or you are going through foreclosure…

? YOU MUST WATCH THIS ?

Problems watching video? click here.

Readers: Is this shocking or what? When I watched this last night I was livid, wanting to jump off my couch and strangle these kids.  How can these kids sit in a room, forge someone’s signature and not know that they were doing something terribly wrong? I don’t care if someone told them it was okay to sign documents forging someone else’s name. They were committing a crime – it is a crime to forge someone’s signature. Period.

And you can’t claim “you didn’t know” as if that were an excuse. Gee, have you ever heard that saying, “Ignorance of the law is no excuse” And excuse me, there is no ignorance here; they knew this was wrong, and they did nothing about it. All for 10 bucks an hour.

Do you think that while these “forgers” sat in this room 8 hours a day forging someone’s signature, up to 4000 signatures a day, that it would’ve occurred to them, “Hmmm this just can’t be right. I don’t feel that what I’m doing is really legal. I mean, I was just told that this will probably be on 60 minutes some day. Perhaps I should say something. (He stops and ponders for a minute or so)  Nah! They said it was okay. Plus I need the money.” These people do not care.

After all that has been happening in the news with respect to foreclosures, did these kids come forward and tell anybody what they were doing? No. Not one person came forward. The only reason they are talking now is because these people were sought out to be interviewed by 60 minutes.

And they’re smiling. Do they even care? Are they even concerned? Are they sorry? Nope. I didn’t get the feeling they were. Did you?

Lives have been ruined because people lost their homes due to foreclosure. People have committed suicide because they have lost their homes, and yet not one of these kids came forward and said, “I was hired to forge someone’s name by signing documents that lead to the foreclosure of many homes.” Nope, not a peep, not a word. Can you believe it?

No wonder murders can be kept secret when only a few people know the truth. In this case, many people knew what they were doing was fraudulent, and not one person had the decency during the signing of the documents or afterwards, to come forward and tell. What is wrong with the people of this country?

Our economy is the worst it has been since the great depression. People aren’t standing in bread lines; they’re standing in lines by the tens of thousands trying to save their homes from foreclosing…our economy is going to shit in the proverbial hand basket…and their lips are sealed.

Imagine if young people have no conscious of ruining the lives of others for $10/hour, what others would do that have more money, more access, more power? Well…we all know that answer don’t we? Hint: And we all know which political group is the most ruthless. FYI: And those that chose to not vote this past election, know that your choice to not vote, was a vote for the ruthless.

There is so much to talk about here, my mind is reeling. Just some other things to question…These people forged documents. Why aren’t these people being accused of a crime? Why aren’t these people going to jail? I know the answer. You tell me. Blog me.

Cass: I missed that mark completely in my comments. Thanks for driving the point home, and making it crystal clear, by talking about something that should be obvious: There is no comparison, there is no equivalence, when it comes to women being raped by men, and men being raped by men. And MEN are doing the raping in both cases. Hello, that is the problemMen are the problem when it comes to rape.

And please…let’s not even talk about comparing women being raped by men vs men being raped by women, for those out there who think a woman is capable of raping a man. Al said it all…

AL: You had me in stitches. Right on. That first paragraph is a doozy with quite the visual. I am sure there are abused women right now that would love to do that to the men that abuse and continue to abuse them. And the vision of a hermaphrodite fucking him/herself…was priceless. A little weird and out of context considering the topic was rape, but I rolled with it.

But it was your statement, “I don’t care how vulernable the man could be, he doesn’t have to worry that some woman will come up to him and hurt him, women get assualted and beat up, and raped all the TIME. And it’s not by other women”, that was so on point. I get you get it.

A little sarcastic humor, is a good way, to make your point, even though rape is a very serious subject. I use sarcasm to get my point across quite often too as you may have noticed. It allows me to point out the ridiculousness of a particular statement.

Ah…I so appreciate right reasoning. Thank you.

Peace out.

    Secrets of Troy “The Locator”

    Troy Dunn

Friends slip from our lives. Relatives can drift away, too. Branches break off the family tree, and adoptions separate family members.

Most people know to do a Google search or to check Facebook to find people. Here, other ways…

SEARCH THE OBITS FOR LIVE PEOPLE

Search the obituaries for relatives of the person you are looking for. Obituaries typically include a list of the deceased’s surviving relatives complete with their current hometowns.

If you know where your missing person’s family lived, find out if that town’s local newspaper has a searchable archive on its Web site. If not, contact the newspaper or the town’s library and ask if there’s some other way to search the newspaper’s archive.

If so, search the archive for obits featuring your missing person’s last name (or maiden name, if appropriate), then check whether these obituaries mention your friend’s name and hometown in the list of surviving relatives.

If the local newspaper doesn’t have a searchable database — or you’re not sure where the missing person’s family lived and died — use the Social Security Death Index (SSDI) to locate times and places of death for relatives. (This also can help you determine if the person you are looking for has died.)

Then scan the obituary section of relevant newspapers, focusing on the papers that came out in the day or two following these deaths.

Limited free access to the SSDI is available through http://www.RootsWeb.com (click on “Social Security Death Index”) and http://www.GenealogyBank.com (click on “Social Security Death Index”), among other Web sites.

    SOLICIT FREE HELP

You may be able to get free help from amateur genealogists. Genealogy is among the fastest-growing hobbies in the US.

Many amateur genealogists love solving mysteries involving heritage, missing family members and other long-lost individuals.

To start, visit the free Web site RootsWeb.com and post a note on the message board explaining your search and asking for guidance or assistance.

Provide the name of the person you are trying to find, where and approximately when this person was born and any additional details that you have about this person’s relatives and places of residence. An amateur genealogist might take up the search for fun.

You will have to register with RootsWeb.com to post a message, but registration is free. This Web site is international and is particularly useful when missing people live outside the US.

    CHECK ORGANIZATIONS

Reach out to relevant organizations. If you know where the person you’re trying to find once worked, perhaps he/she still works there.

Check whether his name is listed on the company’s Web site… or call the company’s switchboard, and ask for the person.

You also can contact organizations related to this person’s line of work and ask if this person is a member… and contact the alumni association of schools he attended.

If any organization is unwilling to share contact information for privacy reasons, ask if it can forward a note to this person for you.

    SPECIAL SEARCH SITUATIONS

Adoptees/birth parents. Locating birth parents or children given up for adoption is especially difficult because neither parent nor child is likely to know the other’s name.

Laws usually bar adoption agencies and government officials from supplying this information. Without a name, conventional search techniques are useless.

It is best to sign up for free adoptee registries, such as my TroysList.org and International Soundex Reunion Registry (http://isrr.net), a nonprofit organization. These Web sites match birth parent and adoptee if both sign up.

Warning: Be wary of adoptee registries that charge fees. Most deliver less than promised — some are scams.

Helpful: The US Department of Health and Human Services provides details about each state’s adoption records access laws on its Web site,

http://www.ChildWelfare.gov (select “State Statutes Search,” then choose the state where the adoption occurred and “Access to Adoption Records”).

Many states let adoptees and birth parents petition in court for the disclosure of “identifying information” about their parents or children — but this information usually is supplied only if the birth parent or adoptee already has filed a written consent form with the state to allow disclosure.

(Adoptees generally are allowed to file consent forms only after they reach age 18 or 21.) In some states, the court also is allowed to select an intermediary to contact the birth parents or adoptee and request their permission to share the information if a consent form has not been filed.

Military buddies. Military service records are not open to the general public, which can make it difficult to track military acquaintances.

The best way to find former friends from the armed forces — if other methods, including a Facebook search, fail — is through private military registries and reunion associations started by former servicemen.

Google the division or unit’s name along with the word “association” or “registry.” (If you served during wartime, also check the SSDI, in case your friend died in battle.)

Women who might have married or divorced. It can be difficult to track down women when their last names change.

One way is to search for one of the woman’s male relatives, then ask this relative how you can reach her. Another option is to Google “vital records” and the name of the state where the woman lives or once lived.

Among the listings should be a state government Web site with a Web address ending “.gov”. This Web site should let you search for any marriages and divorces involving this woman that occurred in that state.

People with very common names. There are too many Jennifer Smiths and Robert Millers to find the one you want through the usual techniques — especially if you don’t know the middle name or hometown. Search for a less conventionally named relative instead.

Example: You remember that your friend John Smith had a brother named Caleb… or that his mother’s maiden name was Hefferman. If you locate a relative, this person probably knows where to find John or where to find another family member who does.

    MAKING CONTACT

Handle the initial contact wisely. What you say or write will have a significant effect on whether this person is happy to hear from you…

Calmly explain who you are and how you know each other. Do not assume that this person remembers you — it often takes time for people to rewind through the years and recall past relationships, even relationships that once were quite close.

If first contact is made on the phone, continue explaining how you know each other until you receive a strong signal of recollection.

Example: “Oh, sure. Wow. How are you?”

Do not immediately press for an in-person meeting. Explain that you were wondering what became of this person… or if it’s a relative, that you are putting together a family tree.

If the person you are reconnecting with is a former flame — or anyone else of the opposite gender who is not a relative — consider asking a friend of that gender to make the initial contact.

This reduces the risk that tracking this person down will be seen as creepy… and it avoids creating trouble if this person is married and his/her spouse answers the phone or sees your e-mail.

Personal interviewed Troy Dunn, a former private investigator who now hosts The Locator, a television show about reuniting lost loved ones, Wednesdays at 10 pm eastern time on WeTV.

He has helped thousands of people find former friends and relatives through his Web site and TV show. http://www.TroyTheLocator.com

  2. Beryl Says:

Al I am so excited from reading your posting this morning that was on yesterday’s blog. You wrote no doubt it was the TWO. Do you really believe that? If it were the TWO, what could their postings mean to them and to us? Have they both written before? I missed it if so. If they were able to write on the blog could someone have an easier time of trying to find them now? I’m guessing here but don’t you think that NO ONE would take the risk of the Prince being unhappy? Wouldn’t SOME ONE be trying to bring them together now, maybe with more success? Maybe this is the answer Earth needs right now. I’m praying they can get together and save us all. This planet needs the protection and intervention that W63453e’s group is not willing to provide. The Prince sounds like he has a tender heart. If he comes, surely he will intervene. We need them just as much as they need each other. Today, I found hope again. Please share your thoughts.

  3. Zen Lill Says:

Hi Mischa, I could not access the vid for some reason though you said it all with, ‘plus, I needed the money.’ bc a lot of people, esp right now are feeling that they can slide on personal ethics to make money in the current econ, pretty pathetic that they were willing to do that to others but bc the others were not in the room looking at them in tears it was OK? I’m not sure if it’s poor upbringing or desensitizing that’s happened aling the way or what, but people are not as humanistic as they could be…

Al, I was also intrigued that you went straight to the TWO, hmm, could be…if you know, please – do tell! I loved your ‘rape’ rant also, humorous yet the topic wasn’t, you have a gift my friend, that was not easy to pull off. The Prince is a prince, and the princess gave as good as she got as well : ) I love that kind of love, in words, in actions…ah yeah…who doesn’t like big love?

    Luv, Zen Lill

  4. David Says:

Thought you guys might be interested in this news out today:
With the possible theft of millions of email addresses from an advertising company, several large companies have started warning customers to expect fraudulent emails that try to coax account login information from them.
Companies behind such brands as Chase, Citi and Best Buy said over the weekend that hackers may have learned their email addresses because of a security breach at a Dallas-based company called Epsilon that manages email communications.
The email addresses could be used to target spam. It’s also a standard tactic among online fraudsters to send emails to random people, purporting to be from a large bank and asking them to login in at a site that looks like the bank’s site. Instead, the fraudulent site captures their login information and uses it to access the real account.
The data breach could make these so-called “phishing” attacks more efficient, by allowing the fraudsters to target people who actually have an account with the bank.
David Jevans, chairman and founder of the non-profit Anti-Phishing Working Group, said criminals have been moving away from indiscriminate phishing toward more intelligent attacks known as “spear phishing,” which rely on having more intimate knowledge of the victims.
“This data breach is going to facilitate that in a big way. Now they know which institution people bank with, they know their name and they have their email address,” said Jevans, who is also the CEO of security company IronKey Inc.
“You’re not going to see typical phishing where 90 percent of it ends up in spam traps and is easily detected. This is going to be highly targeted,” he added.
Among the affected are financial-service companies such as Capital One Financial Corp., Barclays Bank, U.S. Bancorp, Citigroup Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Ameriprise Financial Inc. and retailers including Best Buy Co., TiVo Inc., Walgreen Co. and Kroger Co.

  5. Al Says:

Beryl and Zen Lill: I have no idea who those lovers were, it was just a guess. How would I know. I do think that maybe I should be minding my own business there. It is not my job to bring them (“THE TWO”) together, true love will always find a way.

I don’t believe anyone should be interfering and looking for them, aliens included. Would you want a crowd involved in your love life? Probably not. We are probably doing more harm than good, if it happens it happens. Oh yeah, I love love like that too.

    Al

  6. Beryl Says:

oh Al, you disappoint me. Just guessing? :-(
I’ve just lost faith again. I agree with the others now — we are doomed.

  7. W63453e Says:

    Anon #10:

The biggest problem that faces earthlings like you is your refusal to accept responsibility for what others around you do. Before you rant about how can you be responsibility for everything someone else does, I am not talking about that.

I am talking about what your politicians do. Even if they lie to attain office, it becomes apparent what they are doing with that office. So how do you explain returning to office the same party that bankrupted your economy?

How do you explain returning to office the same party that sides with the polluters, bankers, corporation, and super wealthy? I don’t have to name the party you know who it is.

Yet, you want to cry mea culpa to the minor issue on siding somewhat with the criminals but claim “the average earthling had no idea what the profiteers and opportunists had planned for this planet, did they tell us that they were going to destroy the place, NO. Any elected official has been elected on lies and more lies. So, I say no, we did not bring this on ourselves, it was pushed on us by liars of our own kind.”

NOTHING was pushed on you. You willingly accepted the situation because you were part of Anonz’s “Illussion of Inclusion.” The average earthling goes along with the rich getting huge tax breaks because they believe that they will one day be on of those super rich.

Greed, sir and apathy are the culprits here. The sooner you recognize that picture when you look into the mirror the sooner you will get involved in your own salvation.

An example of that apathy is in your statement – “You know it as well as I do that despite the nuclear reactor problems in Japan. Not a thing will be done to clean up this planet, and it will only get worse as long as there is a dollar to be made. We were doomed long before the earthquakes hit Japan.”

NO, sir, I do not know that. If you and others work to eliminate the party that supports that concept it will end in the next election. If you don” it will continue. It is as simple as that. Factor in the greed of the average person who is invested in the industry themselves or who will benefit by the cheap energy, or those who will not bare a little inconvenience to allow for the introduction of alternate safe energy sources and you get the result you claim is inevitable.

Go to the polls and vote out the bastards.

  8. PW Says:

Al and all, I am not the Prince. I am a space traveler that comes on occasion to earth. I have a special person there that I adore, and she has affection for me.

I hope I have not contributed to the confusion concerning the TWO.

To the sweet Dove whom I love
As my light you are ever as bright
for though you are not their Princess
You are the One that leaves me breathless.

  9. Anon. Says:

    Michelle:
Sometimes I wonder why you and a lot of your girls seem to hate all men. Even the ones who support womens rights and the plight of women in general. The men who do support equal rights for women and OTW’s shouldn’t have to be insulted and treated like those that don’t, ya think?

I have never heard a man insult womanhood on this blog the way you and some women insult manhood. I have never heard a man talk about small breasts the way the women speak of little dicks.

What’s up with that? And if this is supposed to be a “womens only blog”, then why did you bother to ask me to come back. I mean come on, I may be a glutton for punishment, but believe it or not, I have feelings too, and I’m not just being thin skinned, nor do I have a small dick.

I don’t abuse women and hold them in high regard. Don’t I deserve like treatment?

    Robert:
Although you speak very eloquently, and seem very informed about what you talk about. Would you believe that besides George being no.1, you are our no.2 bigot. That’s right “BIGOT”. How many times have you used the term “WHITE BOY”. At least once in every paragraph.

How would you feel if I continually used the term “Black Boy”? Would you not think I was bigoted, of course you would. So would you please stop insulting me and my race everytime you post! My family wasn’t even in this country when slavery was legal

Does anyone here use the term “black boy”. No, only the bigots would be that insensitive to others. If indeed you are a bigot, then forget about it, if you are not, an apology is in order to all the white males who read this blog. You turn every single topic into a black and white issue.

    Al:

I am going to assume that you are actually ignorant concerning the difference between a person in a position of power saying a thing and a person who is powerless saying the exact same thing. So let me attempt to educate you.

If I may, I would also like to address those who I suspect are not ignorant of the difference but use the ignorance of those like you to practice their own special racist hypocrisy, yes Sharon, I am referring to you.

Okay my point Al is if you were in Egypt and Arabs were calling you “white boy” you could have a reason to fear for your safety because other arabs could be incited to do you harm in a place governed by arabs. In America that same arab would only give you moment for pause because you didn’t like the term.

In America if you called me a derogatory name, I would have more cause to fear for my safety because in America the making of the Laws, the enforcement of the Laws, and the chief beneficiaries of those Laws is the white boy.

An OTW calling you a derogatory name in America can only possibly cause you a bit of discomfort, it does not immediately cause you to fear for your personal safety. In most instances it is the only means of venting an OTW has.

You white boys on the other hand have many more options which history and the average OTW’s every day experience shows can be lethal. Many of those options are begun by a white boy using a derogatory name to justify their cruelty. Does the term savage when referring to the American Indian just before the white boy murdered 12,000,000 of them mean anything to you. Or the use of term nigger when the white boy insulated and murdered millions of blacks. or Chink when the white boy, etc, etc, etc.

Now can you name an instance when the use of the term “white boy” preceded the murder of millions of the white race? So who do you think owes who an apology. To date the white hasn’t even acknowledged the genocide committed against the American Indian, much less given an apology. Hell you still insist on showing your old cowboy movies where you call the savages and kill them as if they were vermin.

You have yet to apologize for the enslavement of my people or the second class treatment and murders they suffered for hundred plus years after you supposedly granted them equality. Excuse me it wasn’t you, it was another white boy. Yet you didn’t, haven’t and won’t give up your position as America’s Affirmative Action Race, not will you. And Oh Sharon when was the last time you felt like giving up being a white girl to suffer the indignities that you would have to by being an OTW?

My guess is if the only bitch you have is the displeasure of hearing a white male being called a white boy, you are sitting pretty good in your position of governmental affirmative action afforded to you because you are a white woman.

Al you ask, facetiously I assume “Does anyone here use the term “black boy.” while all the time being fully aware that the average white boy uses much worse derogatory terminology when referring to any OTW that he takes issue with. – And you Sharon are probably more guilty than most. I’m can just see you grinning self pleasingly while posting “Nicely said Al.”

The fact that you said “My family wasn’t even in this country when slavery was legal.” means nothing. My family wasn’t even in this country when slavery was legal. Does that stop the white boy from discriminating against me because of the color of my skin. I think not.

Does the fact that your family wasn’t even in this country when slavery was legal prevent you from benefiting from being America’s Affirmative Action Beneficiary, I think not. So that is a stupid statement. It means and implies nothing. Except to say that the person uttering it is a hypocrite, or someone who thinks the listener is stupid. You may be, but I am not.

The white boy is fond of attempting to put an OTW on the defensive by calling him a bigot. I will not give it merit because you are being just as disingenuous as you were when you claimed to believe that women were as bad as men because they called men derogatory names.

As for the snide racist sharon who attempted to piggy-back upon your perhaps ignorance, I say the day will come when the numbers are different. I hope you live to see it, sharon.

Now sharon feel free to write in with your “genuine” protestations of “i’m not a racist, I’m just pointing out that you are a reverse bigot.” I get the reverse discrimination ploy. So do the rest of the OTWs. And yes your shit does stink.

Michelle, I meant all of what I said, but I must apologize for all the misspellings, I had a long day and opening your blog to Al tirade was a bit much. I wrote without proof reading clicked “submit comment” and prepared for bed. Only to have the thought that perhaps I was too rough.

    Upon review. Nah.

  16. Al Says:

Robert: You have no Idea what you are talking about. All I told you was that the term “white boy” is a racial slur. Are you saying it isn’t? And what ever benefits you think I have because I am white are all in your head.

You can say it is not a slur and I feel it is. The rest of your letter means nothing because it has nothing to do with whether the term “white boy” is a racial slur or not.

All I am saying is, now let me try an educate you here. The term “white boy” is a racial slur especially the way you use it. What ever reasons you have to justify using racial slurs does not detract from the simple fact that you do use that particular slur very often. Racists use racial slurs.

    Al
