Am I Having a Heart Attack?
Some signs are surprising — especially for women
Dinner Can Wait
Heart experts say one reason so many women die is that they often don’t heed their symptoms. They may attribute their symptoms to hot flashes, flu, something they ate or their age. When they do realize something might be wrong, they delay getting treatment.
“Women don’t call 911,” says Sharonne Hayes, M.D., of the Mayo Clinic.
In fact, a 2009 American Heart Association survey found that only half of women say they would call 911 if they thought they might be having a heart attack. “They worry, ‘What will the neighbors think?’ or ‘I’ve got to finish fixing dinner for my husband,’ ” Hayes says.
“Women don’t call 911. They worry, ‘What will the neighbors think?’ or ‘I’ve got to finish fixing dinner for my husband.’”
And women are more likely to consult with friends or call the family doctor, which Hayes says can cause a dangerous delay.
Studies also show that women who are diagnosed with a heart attack are more likely to have come to the hospital in a private car.
When people arrive at a hospital by ambulance, they usually get faster treatment, Hayes says.
“Patients should not be sitting at home trying to diagnose a heart attack,” Hayes says. “They could die doing that.”
Cardiologist Gordon Tomaselli says that often after people have a heart attack, they realize in retrospect they had symptoms days or weeks earlier that they didn’t recognize — such as extreme fatigue or throat pain.
But as many as a quarter of all heart attack victims have a heart attack as a first symptom of heart disease.

Oh…and blog me too. :)
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

One has to wonder what the Nazis would have written about their situation had the environment been so receptive to them as it has been to white men here.

I find it hard to believe that someone could get $one million in tips much less under report it at the two titty bars on Guam.
But go figure the IRS.
——————-
Federal agents raided the Tumon and Hagåtña locations of TGI Friday’s restaurant last week as part of an on-going tax evasion investigation that alleges the restaurant has unreported more than $1 million in tips, court documents show.
Internal Revenue Service investigators took financial documents, sales reports and payroll stubs when they searched both restaurant on Wednesday, according to documents filed in the District Court of Guam today.
More than 80 items were taken during the raids, according to court documents.
The allegations against the restaurants and their parent company, Watami USA Guam Inc., are laid out in an affidavit signed by IRS Special Agent Todd Peterson, who worked with two confidential informants as part of the investigation.
According to the affidavit, the Watami has allegedly underreported the amount of money earned through restaurant service charges since 2006. Watami stores business records at both restaurants, court documents state.
Between 2006 and 2009, TGI Friday’s restaurants in Tumon and Hagåtña have allegedly collected about $1.6 million through the service charges, but only reported about $482,000 in tips, court documents state.
That leaves a $1.119 million balance, which IRS investigators allege is “unreported service charges.”
Despite calls to the company office, no one at Watami was available for comment about the raids. Messages were not immediately returned.
As of today, no criminal charges have been filed as a result of this case; however, IRS investigators explain in court documents that they believe the seized records will provide evidence that tax laws have allegedly been violated.
Specifically, court documents reference two alleged violations of law — willful failure to collect or pay over tax and fraud or false statements. According to the IRS website, willful failure to collect or pay tax can carry a prison sentence of up to five years, and the latter violation can carry up to three years.

I guess some of those guys giving the big tips were IRS agents just doing their duty.

Robert, I’m a white conservative voter but that doesn’t mean I am stupid. I also get the scare tactic which is supposed to motivate me to rush out to buy their gold and silver offers. i.e.

Discover Their Ultimate Plot
Their reasons why and what you could do to protect your wealth.

Clicking on that link takes you to more scare tactics and the way to beat it. Of course that way is to buy one or more of their gold or silver contracts.
But I always pass. Not all of us are so easily duped.

The government of Guam is shrinking its staff. There will be lots of lay offs we are told.
Stay Tuned.
