Flap Your Lips Friday

Good morning!
Thanks to Social Butterfly, for posting this the other day, I thought this article that she discovered is very important and worth the re-print in case some of you missed it. Thanks /SB!
Olive oil comes from olives. Sesame seed oil comes from sesame seeds. But Canola oil is actually a made-up word for a genetically modified product.
Canola stands for “Canadian oil low acid.” It’s a Canadian invention and subsidized by the government. The subsidies make it very cheap to use, so almost all processed or packaged foods contain canola oil. Be sure to read the ingredients. Here’s why you should:
THE SCOOP ON CANOLA
Canola oil is developed from the rapeseed plant, which is part of the mustard family of plants. These oils have long been used for industrial purposes (in candles, lipsticks, soaps, inks, lubricants, and biofuels). It’s an industrial oil, not a food.
Rapeseed oil is the source behind mustard gas, and on its own it causes emphysema, respiratory distress, anemia, constipation, irritability, and blindness. But through the beauty of genetic modification, we now sell it as an edible oil.
The claim is that canola is safe to use because through modification it is no longer rapeseed but “canola.” Except… canola is just genetically modified rapeseed. It has been marketed as a wonder oil that is low in saturated fats with a beneficial omega-3 fatty acid profile. It is recognized by the American Dietetic Association and the American Heart Association based on the belief that the absence of saturated fats alone makes it healthy.
It is now believed that rapeseed has a cumulative effect, taking almost 10 years before symptoms begin to manifest. One possible effect of long-term use is the destruction of the protective coating surrounding nerves called the myelin sheath. This is like having raw, open wires in the body. Some symptoms include:
tremors and shaking
uncoordination when walking or writing
slurred speech
deterioration of memory and thinking processes
fuzzy or low audio levels
difficulty urinating/incontinence
breathing problems/short of breath
nervous breakdown
numbness and tingling in extremities
heart problems/arrhythmia
From a nutritional perspective, canola oil has been found to deplete Vitamin E. It has a tendency to inhibit proper metabolism of foods and normal enzyme function. It also depresses the immune system.
Perhaps the deterioration of my thinking process yesteday was a result of the lunch that someone else prepared for me. Maybe they used Canola Oil.
Have a good day all.

Mike: How are you? Speaking of the Payroll Tax Cut, it seems over 30,000 people wrote in to Congress and expressed their thoughts…and the republicans caved. Republican House Speaker Boehner needs to find a new job, don’t you think?
Jackie: I don’t want to cause you any trouble with your husband, and perhaps I am overstepping by voicing this, but don’t you think it is time to stand up for how you feel? Your boys have turned out just like your husband and they will perpetuate their racism to their children etc. Thankfully your daughters see the light and “hate his attitude”, but the fact that you are not standing up to your husband isn’t exactly a great role model for your daughters. They may think as you do, but will they stand up to their men or act the same with the men in their lives and too hide their true feelings?
I have to say, I really don’t care how loving a father your husband is or how good a husband he is, when his feelings toward OTWs are so hateful. And think about it – The sick thing about racist republicans and republicans in general, is that they only care about them and theirs. And yet what they support in the republican party is “destructive” is so many ways (health, environment, jobs etc.) that all of this so-called “love”, is destroying the country, and yes, killing the very ones that they claim to love. This is the true meaning of ”I love you to death” – I’ll pass on that kind of love, thank you.
Luther: Since when would you, ( a “moderate” – there is nothing “moderate” about racism) a racist, rather have a “nigger” in the White House as opposed to a woman, Sarah Palin? I don’t buy it. The republicans thought Palin was an asset…would appeal to the stupid women out there, and bring McCain the presidency. It didn’t work.
However, I will agree with you in your statement: “Conservatives are genuinely frightened about the direction the country has taken. That nigger has taken this country where no white man would.” – Conservatives should be frightened – they are fucking up the country. And yes, Obama has taken this country where no white man would, certainly no past president, and thankfully so. (See Doug’s comment as well.) If a republican president was at the helm, signing in their partisan policies, this country…this world, would be in a state of chaos, completely destroyed. Your racism is blinding you.
I will fight my hardest not to have Romney be the republican presidential candidate. Mormons have no idea just how much media time mormonism is going to get in the coming months. I for one, will certainly will be blogging about anything and everything I can find about this cult religion.
Donald: You certainly got that right. I want my MAC back too.
Zen Lill: You are missed here.
Got to go everyone. Happy Friday…you know what to do.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. HI Mischa, I wasn’t tracking how long it’s been since I left a comment : ) it’s nice to see I was missed, thank you, and Howie and Thomas as well.
I was celebrating the holiday early so now my girl is with her daddy and I am =FREE= & life is transforming at rapid pace here and I’m purging big bc I have decided to move…not sure exactly when, not sure exactly where – yet – it’ll all come to me just as clearly as when I woke up last week with 2 words on my mind: ‘it’s time’ and I knew exactly what that meant, I’ve got just as vivid a dream life as my waking life.
I usually don’t comment on politics, I have my opinions though often the gist of them are woven into several comments here, I know I’m white so I can say what I want and it’ll be met with a undercurrent of ‘well, you’re white’ and I totally understand and get it so I’m preferring to hear the take of others. I’ve lived out of the country I know what others (& esp OTW’s) think of Americans and I can see why…(unfortunately)
I’ll jump in the political debate when it’s at the eleventh hour and I can’t wait for that part of the conversation : ) btw, I would leave the country before I’d vote for Mitt Romney. I’m patiently awaiting the Obama/Clinton ticket announcement (bye, Joe).
I am wishing all of you a very happy holiday!
Oh wait – Howie, just curious – what type of ‘human’ maladies are sending our alien friends that look like humans to the hospital? & I forgot to wish you a Happy Hannukah a few days ago when it began, please forgive the oversight.
Luv, Zen Lill

Zen Lill:
Leave it to you to ask a question I myself cannot answer. It is a good question. I will give you more details when i get them.
I never bothered to ask myself.
Thanks for the “Happy Hannukah.” I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Perhaps next year will be better thanthis one was?
I’ll be talking to ya.

SPICES WITH SURPRISING HEALTH BENEFITS
Editor’s note: As a reader of Bottom Line’s Daily Health News, you already know from recent issues that ginger might help slow the growth of cancerous tumors in the prostate and that the spice turmeric may help fend off Alzheimer’s.
What few people realize: There are several lesser-known spices that not only give foods wonderful flavors, but also offer significant health benefits.*
That’s why when I read this recent article published in Bottom Line/Health, one of Daily Health News’s sister publications, I knew that I had to share it with you, as well.
I hope you enjoy the article, below — and if you’d like to learn more about Bottom Line/Health, go to: http://www.BottomLineStores.com/store/brdrmus/pd/productID=228760600

In some cases, spices can be just as helpful as medication for people with certain conditions — and safer.
Here are some common medical conditions that you can help prevent — or improve — with the use of spices…
OREGANO FOR ARTHRITIS
Oregano helps alleviate many inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis.
You might be surprised to learn that this favorite spice of Italian cooking contains natural compounds that have many of the same effects as the powerful anti-inflammatory COX-2 inhibitor drug celecoxib (Celebrex).
In addition, oregano contains dozens of other anti-inflammatory compounds that act as muscle relaxants and pain relievers.
Unlike celecoxib, which may increase heart attack risk in some people, oregano actually protects the heart by helping to prevent blood clots and irregular heart rhythms.
Best uses: Use oregano liberally on salads or pizzas. Oregano also can be mixed with peppermint and/or spearmint for a hot or iced mixed-herb tea.
If you prefer to take an anti-inflammatory supplement, oregano is one of the half-dozen spices in a product called Zyflamend (its ingredients also include rosemary and turmeric).
The herbs in Zyflamend act synergistically to provide a more powerful effect than each would when used individually.
Zyflamend can be purchased in health-food stores and online. Follow label instructions.
CALENDULA FOR CATARACTS
Calendula, or marigold, contains powerful plant-based carotenoids — particularly lutein and zeaxanthin — that help protect the eyes.
In addition to being powerful antioxidants, these two compounds absorb damaging blue-light wavelengths from the sun.
Increased intake of lutein and zeaxanthin has been associated with reduced risk for cataracts.
Best uses: Calendula makes an excellent addition to homemade vegetarian soup. If you prefer to use calendula in supplement form, follow label instructions.
ONION FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
Onion contains blood-thinning compounds, all of which have a blood pressure-lowering effect.
One of the most potent of these compounds is the flavonoid quercetin.
Onion also acts as a natural diuretic, which lowers blood pressure by helping the body excrete excess fluids and salt.
Best uses: If possible, use a full onion (all types contain some blood pressure-lowering compounds) in onion soup, for example.
Reason: The onion’s thin outer skin is the plant’s best source of quercetin.
Onion powder and cooked onions are not as effective as fresh onion.
Research shows that people who take quercetin as a supplement can lower their blood pressure in less than a month.
In a 2007 double-blind study, people with hypertension who took 730 mg of quercetin daily for 28 days lowered their systolic (top number) blood pressure by an average of 7 mm HG and diastolic (bottom number) by 5 mm HG.
FENNEL SEED FOR INDIGESTION
Fennel seed is surprisingly effective at relieving indigestion.
If I get indigestion, I pick some fennel seeds from the fennel plant in my garden. Fennel is easy to grow, and it keeps coming back year after year.
In my experience, it can settle the stomach as well as many over-the-counter products.
Fennel seed relaxes the smooth muscles that line the digestive tract, relieving flatulence, bloating and gas, as well as nausea and vomiting, motion sickness and abdominal pain.
If you don’t want to grow your own, store-bought fennel seed also works well.
Best uses: Fennel seed can be eaten whole (it tastes and smells similar to anise) or made into a tea by pouring boiling water over it (use one gram to three grams of fennel seed –
about one-half to one and one-half teaspoons — per cup). To sweeten the tea, molasses or honey is the best choice.
Caution: Because fennel seed can increase estrogen levels, it should be avoided by women who are pregnant or breast-feeding or who have an estrogen-sensitive medical condition, such as estrogen-responsive breast cancer.
GARLIC FOR THE COMMON COLD
While the research on garlic’s positive effect on cardiovascular health is perhaps most widely known, this popular allium also boosts immunity, helping to prevent and treat the common cold.
In one study of nearly 150 people who took a garlic supplement or placebo for 12 weeks during cold season, those taking the garlic had significantly fewer colds (or symptoms that eased more quickly in cold sufferers) than those taking a placebo.
Best uses: To help cure or prevent a cold, add a clove or two of garlic to all soups… sprinkle garlic powder on toast… and/or mix diced raw garlic with olive oil and vinegar.
SAFFRON FOR DEPRESSION
Saffron, a spice derived from a small, blue crocus, acts as a potent antidepressant and has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for this purpose.
No one is sure how it works, but its active ingredient, crocetin, appears to enhance blood flow to the brain.
Research conducted in Iran has shown that 30 mg per day of saffron powder (about one-tenth of a teaspoon) relieved mild-to-moderate depression as effectively as standard doses of the antidepressant medications fluoxetine (Prozac) and imipramine (Tofranil).
Best uses: One of the world’s most expensive spices, saffron can be used in herbal tea or chicken paella. A five-gram bottle of Exir Pure Saffron Powder is $41 at http://www.Amazon.com.
*Check with your doctor before using any of the spices mentioned in this article for medicinal purposes.
The natural compounds found in spices may interact with some prescription drugs. Pregnant and nursing women should avoid using spices medicinally.

Michelle: I really appreciate you advice. I showed it to my daughters. They said that they understand why I do not confront their father.
I need to tell you that he is from a powerful and very wealthy southern family. I am the beautiful girl -:) from across the tracks that he married in spite of his family’s wishes.
He constantly reminds the children and me how much better off they would have been had he chose the bride his family wanted him to marry.
Unfortunately I got pregnant immediately after we got married so that my education never caught up with my ambitions.
His family owns the politicians and most of the judiciary in this state. I would be ruined if I attempted to leave him.
I encourage my daughters to think independently of their insanely racist father. That for now is the best I can do.
Thank you for thinking of me.

Michelle, I am closer to Jackie’s predicament than I care to admit. I so admire the relationship you and Doug, TMD have.
It is an impressive tandem. I like the way you each give the other a turn to lead while the follows with support.
How I wish my husband was even a bit like Doug.

On the surface the Republicans caved in, but in the back rooms they are have a celebration party.
Bush eliminated the surplus, broke the treasury, and left the mandated programs unfunded and weak.
They still had to get the money from social security out of the government so wall street investors could get their hands on the money.
Remember its all about money if you are a Republican.
December 23rd, 2011 at 10:04 pm
You already have to list the Social Security number for the Earned Income Tax Credit. Again pushing to pass something that is already in effect.
Just like instead of working on the Pay Roll Tax Cut, they spent time voting to make “In God We Trust” the US motto, only it already IS the motto and has been since 1956.
They want to force Democrats to pay for the tax cuts, but don’t want to explain how they will pay for all those drug tests for people who file for unemployment.
And just how much money will they borrow from China to pay for those drug tests? They are hypocrites.

We need to deport all members of the radical, Right Wing Tea Party for the sake of our democratic, secular country.
They’ve been threatening our democracy ever since they showed up. From healthcare town hall meetings, and all the recent crazy, anti-American stunts from this dysfunctional GOP-Tea Party occupied Congress...
They are treasonous, to say the least. I know we shouldn’t discriminate anybody but they don’t deserve to be Americans.
If we can naturalize immigrants, we should be able to revoke their citizenship from those Americans who are anarchists acting like terrorists.
Maybe deport them to North Pole where the ice is melting because of their ignorance, or lock them up in Guantanamo with the rest of the terrorists. This country will do so much better without them. That’s for sure.

Oh, the BIGOTS, and RACISTS will be outed. This is why the right wants Ron Paul. He is a die hard racists.
==============================(Reuters, Mark Hosenball and Samuel P. Jacobs) – A direct-mail solicitation for Ron Paul’s political and investment newsletters two decades ago warned of a “coming race war in our big cities” and of a “federal-homosexual cover-up” to play down the impact of AIDS.
The eight-page letter, which appears to carry Paul’s signature at the end, also warns that the U.S. government’s redesign of currency to include different colors – a move aimed at thwarting counterfeiters – actually was part of a plot to allow the government to track Americans using the “new money.”
The letter urges readers to subscribe to Paul’s newsletters so that he could “tell you how you can save yourself and your family” from an overbearing government.
The letter’s details emerge at a time when Paul, now a contender for the Republican nomination for president, is under fire over reports that his newsletters contained racist, anti-homosexual and anti-Israel rants.
(For a PDF of the solicitation letter see link.reuters.com/vud75s)
Reports of the newsletters’ contents have Paul’s campaign scrambling to deny that he wrote the inflammatory articles.

Now what about all the independents who are white who will tell you they like this or that about Ron Paul.
Again it goes back to the deference the white boy gives to another. And the complete lack of shame in supporting a white boy who is a racist because he may have an opinion or issue that he likes.
If on the other hand an OTW wants to run for president and he has displayed the slightest possibility of being anti white, he will be declared unfit to run.
The bastards suck!
But as usual it is about the money they can scare out of the white boy. Notice how even a decade ago, this racist was promising to show the scared white boy how to hold on to his money when the coming crisis came.
They know how to play the race card for profit.

Ron Paul, from all appearances, and based on some of his history, is a white [American] supremist.
Paul seems to feel that the United States does not need to be an active participant of the international community.
Paul also seems to believe that white Christians Americans are superior to all others, and should essentially rule the world. If the GOP nominate the Texas doctor to be the Republican candidate, any credibility that they still have as a viable political voice, will be diminished!

Jackie rectificeert ‘niggabitch’ niet
donderdag 22 december 2011

Oh, yeah, Thanks President Obama for standing up to those racist bastards in South Carolina.
====================
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Justice Department on Friday rejected South Carolina’s law requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls, saying it makes it harder for minorities to cast ballots. It was the first voter ID law to be refused by the federal agency in nearly 20 years.
The Obama administration said South Carolina’s law didn’t meet the burden under the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which outlawed discriminatory practices preventing blacks from voting.
Tens of thousands of minorities in South Carolina might not be able to cast ballots under South Carolina’s law because they don’t have the right photo ID, Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez said.
South Carolina’s law was passed by a Republican-controlled Legislature and signed by GOP Gov. Nikki Haley. The state’s attorney general vowed to fight the federal agency in court.
“Nothing in this act stops people from voting,” said Attorney General Alan Wilson, who is also a Republican.
South Carolina’s new voter ID law requires voters to show poll workers a state-issued driver’s license or several other alternative forms of photo identification.
“The U.S. Department of Justice today blocked implementation of a new law that would require South Carolina voters to present a photo ID in order to vote,” the state Election Commission said in a statement late Friday. “Therefore, ID requirements for voting will not change at this time.’
South Carolina is among five states that passed laws this year requiring some form of ID at the polls, while such laws were already on the books in Indiana and Georgia, whose law received approval from President George W. Bush’s Justice Department.
Indiana’s law, passed in 2005, was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2008.
Those new laws also allow voters without the required photo ID to cast provisional ballots, but the voters must return to a specific location with that ID within a certain time limit for their ballots to count.
Most of the laws have been promoted and approved by Republicans, who argue they are needed to avert voter fraud.
Democrats say the measures are actually aimed at reducing minority votes for their candidates.
The Justice Department must approve changes to South Carolina’s election laws under the federal Voting Rights Act because of the state’s past failure to protect the voting rights of blacks. It is one of nine states that require the agency’s approval.
The last time the Justice Department rejected a voter ID law was in 1994 when Louisiana passed a measure requiring a picture ID. After changes were made, it was approved by the agency.
Justice officials are reviewing Texas’ new law. Kansas, Tennessee and Wisconsin also passed laws this year, but they are not under the agency’s review.
South Carolina’s law also required the state to determine how many voters lack state-issued IDs so that the Election Commission can work to make sure they know of law changes.
The Department of Motor Vehicles will issue free state photo identification cards to those voters.
“Minority registered voters were nearly 20 percent more likely to lack DMV-issued ID than white registered voters, and thus to be effectively disenfranchised,” Perez wrote, noting that the numbers could be even higher since the data submitted by the state doesn’t include inactive voters.
The number of active and inactive voters that should be used to determine how many people would be affected by the law has been in dispute.
Department of Motor Vehicles executive director Kevin Shwedo said the state Election Commission knew it was using inaccurate data when it released reports showing nearly 240,000 active and inactive voters lacked driver’s licenses or ID cards.
Shwedo sent the state’s attorney general an analysis showing that 207,000 of those voters live in other states, allowed their ID cards to expire, probably have licenses with names that didn’t match voter records or were dead. He said the commission created “artificially high numbers to excite the masses.”
Earlier in the week, commission officials said the agency will eliminate nearly 60,000 deceased people and individuals whose names didn’t match DMV records.
Haley said the decision was more proof President Barack Obama is fighting conservative ideas like voter ID laws or immigration reform.
“The president and his bullish administration are fighting us every step of the way. It is outrageous, and we plan to look at every possible option to get this terrible, clearly political decision overturned so we can protect the integrity of our electoral process and our 10th amendment rights,” Haley said in a statement.
South Carolina ACLU executive director Victoria Middleton applauded the Justice Department’s decision, saying the “misguided” law represented “a dramatic setback to voting rights in our state and we are pleased to see it stopped in its tracks.”
The decision also was welcomed by civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, who planned to talk about how voter ID laws are an effort by conservatives to keep blacks from voting in his hometown of Greenville, S.C., next week.
He said the laws are like modern day poll taxes, targeting elderly people that can’t afford to get IDs and students.
“We’re fighting wars for democracy overseas and we’re fighting democracy at home,” Jackson said. “What a contradiction.”

Extending the Payroll Tax Cut
Today, the House passed a bipartisan agreement to extend the payroll tax cut, unemployment benefits, and the Medicare physician fee fix.
This is a victory for the American people. They spoke out clearly and, as a result, 160 million American workers will continue to receive their payroll tax cut – about $1,000 in the pockets of the average family.
This bipartisan bill was also passed by the Senate and will be signed into law immediately. Along with President Obama, House Democrats remain committed to a yearlong agreement to extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment insurance, and ensure seniors can continue to see the doctor of their choice.
Congresswoman Pelosi holds an enrollment ceremony with Democratic Members of the House and Senate and service members to sign legislation repealing the discriminatory ‘Don’t Ask,
Don’t Tell’ policy. This week marks the one-year anniversary of the repeal of the policy.
Marking the One-Year Anniversary of the Repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”
This week marks the one-year anniversary of President Obama signing into law legislation to repeal the discriminatory “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy.
When the Democratic majorities in the House and Senate took action last year to end this wrongheaded policy, we reaffirmed the core American principle that anyone who wishes to serve, secure, and defend this country must be judged by their abilities and honored for their dedication and sacrifice.
America is the land of the free and the home of the brave because of our men and women in uniform. By repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” we honor their service by recommitting to the values that they fight for on the battlefield.
Please feel free to forward this information to your family and friends. To learn more about these efforts, to express your views, or to sign up for email updates, please visit my website. I am also on Twitter at http://twitter.com/NancyPelosi.
Sincerely,
Member of Congress

It is possible that raw sewage has greater political acumen than the Republicans in Congress. Unlike the Republicans, sewage at least figures out how to flow through Washington with the least resistance.
This past week has been embarrassing for the GOP. Mitch McConnell, heralded as a brilliant strategist by some, negotiated a two-month extension of the payroll tax holiday with enough changes from the present tax holiday that small businesses discovered they would be unable to even implement the changes before the tax holiday expires in two months.
The House of Representatives made clear that it would oppose a two month extension because it kept uncertainty in the economy, businesses could not even take advantage of it anyway, and the tax holiday was paid for with permanent fee increases on people buying houses.
Then they caved after a bit of a spectacle. Embarrassing.
But if you think that is embarrassing, consider what’s next on Congress’s agenda. Republicans and Democrats are joining together in bipartisan legislation to stop online piracy on the internet.
The legislation, authored by Rep. Lamar Smith (R.-Texas) and co-sponsored by such diverse congress critters as Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R.-Tenn.) and Rep.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D.-Fla.), would allow Attorney General Eric Holder to shut down any website in America he deemed to violate someone else’s intellectual property.
Yes, Republicans want to give the man who claims cluelessness about Operation Fast and Furious the power to shut down the internet.
It is a rare moment of bipartisanship proving the rule that occasionally the stupid party and evil party get together to do something that is both stupid and evil. They then call it bipartisan.
For now though, there is good news. Congress is going home for Christmas. Our liberties are safe for a few weeks.
From all of us at Human Events and RedState.com, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I am not accusing anyone of anything but I am asking why would a man put a woman through this for a moment of “pleasure?”

Guam News – Guam News
Guam – 19 year old Johnathan James Acfalle Perez is being held on $10-thousand dollars cash bail for the rape of a Japanese tourist last month in Tumon.
Perez faced a magistrate’s hearing yesterday [Thursday] after his arrest on charges of First and Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
READ the Magistrate’s report on Perez’s arrest [scroll down, 2ed case down]
According to the magistarte’s complaint the incident occurred on November 2. The alleged victim is identified as A.m
She told police through a translator that she was staying at the Onward Beach Resort and she and a friend took a cruise on the “Big Barbecue Cruise Boat.”
They met 2 deckhands on the boat, one of whom was Perez. A.M said that the 2 Japanese women agreed to go out that night with Perez and the other deckhand.
The 2 couples became separated and, according to the complaint, Perez drove A.M. to the parking lot of the Santa Fe Hotel where they got out and walked to the beach.
She charged that Perez pushed her to the ground, pulled off her skirt and raped her. A.M. said she tried to push Perez off her, but he was too heavy.
When A.M. returned to the hotel she contacted hotel security.
She complained of “severe abdominal pain” and was examined at the Healing Hearts center on November 2 where, Dr. Bez told police that she found that A.M. had sustained “a tear (laceration) to lower vagina…multiple large abrasions to the inner wall of the victims vagina.”
Dr. Bez told police that A.M.’s injuries were “the worst she had seen in her twenty years of experience. Dr. Bez stated A.M.’s “injuries were evidence of forced sexual contact.”

I found this quote about the Russians planning on drilling in the Arctic for oil.
========================
“Four years ago, Russia staked its claim to supremacy in the Arctic by planting a titanium flag on the ocean floor and arguing that an underwater ridge connected the country directly to the North Pole. The United States does not recognize the Russian assertion and has its own claims, along with Denmark, Norway and Canada.” – Direct quote from near the bottom of this article.
The Russkies are trying to use this ridge as an excuse to claim eminent domain to the undersea oilfield. We humans aren’t technologically advanced enough to drill for oil deep under the Gulf of Mexico which is a “piece of cake” compared to drilling in THAT hostile environment.
We can only hope that more sane people overrule this insanity BEFORE the global oil industry KILLS planet Earth.

Greed will kill us and the planet yet.
