The Right Is Wrong…Again
Posted by Michelle Moquin on December 19th, 2011
Good morning!
Or…rather up to their old lying tricks
Before I get into today’s write….
All I can say is I was trying to lighten it up a bit with some humor and what I thought was pretty hilarious, was taken oh so seriously by some men…and guess what? Instead of cruising down the “Hilarious Highway”, we took a slow trip down “Literal Lane” again. Ha! I have no control – this blog goes where it wants to go. Thanks readers for the very interesting read, and the kudos. And girls, don’t ever worry, I don’t censor myself. I post what I wish to post – it is all of you that give it life in which ever direction it goes.
So…enough of that – Wha’ats up?
What’s up for me this morning is that one can certainly discover a lot of BS on the net, and I just want to add “Don’t believe everything that you read”. Once again a racist republican propaganda mill masquerading as a legitimate news outlet tries to slam Obama.
‘60 Minutes’ Edits Out Obama‘s Claim That He’s the Fourth Best President
President Barack Obama sat for an extensive interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” last week, though it appears the portion of the interview actually broadcast on TV left out a statement where Obama essentially declared himself the fourth best president in terms of hisaccomplishments.
The statement was only made available online as part of the full interview on “60 Minutes Overtime.”
According to a transcript posted on the “60 Minutes” website, Obama said he would hold his accomplishments so far as president against those of Lyndon B. Johnson, Franklin Delano Rooseveltand Abraham Lincoln.
“I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln — just in terms of what we’ve gotten done in modern history,” Obama told CBS’s Steve Kroft.
Watch the full interview below. The statement comes at the very end, around the 56:10 mark of the 56:53-minute video:
And this was also added to the article:
I clicked over to youtube to watch this last video and I had to read through a bunch of shitty comments calling Obama arrogant, until finally someone saw the video for what it really was, and states the obvious in my opinion: “…that this was a pathetic attempt at defacing the president.” Which it is. Obama didn’t say he was the 4th best president, he said that he would hold up his legislative and foreign policy accomplishments against what the other 40 did with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln and he qualified that with “— just in terms of what we’ve gotten done in modern history,”
“I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln — just in terms of what we’ve gotten done in modern history,” Obama told CBS’s Steve Kroft.
Readers: Some people will try anything. But we know better, don’t we. Thoughts? Blog me.
Peace out.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

I didn’t get a chance to watch things yesterday, as it was a busy day. Katherine Heigl is so funny. I enjoy her timing and expressions. Nice.

Michelle:
As a Man who continually fights for Women’s Rights, I appreciate the warm welcome I received for voicing my opinion yesterday.
Today I have news that will affect everyone in the U.S — Man or Woman.
A fox began guarding the hen house. A wolf will be herding the sheep! President Obama appointed two devout Muslims to Homeland Security posts.
President Obama and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development.
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant?
Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn’t this make you feel safer already? That should make our homeland much safer!
Was it not “Devout Muslim men” that flew planes into U.S. buildings such as the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 9/11?
What do you think, people?

President Barack Obama, is truly one of the best Presidents the United States of America ever had. Truth be said, he’s leading people who are morally inconsiderate to others, and blatantly selfish to other people needs.
And as for as 60 minutes, President Obama was being modest and people can’t take it; so they held back a little.
December 19th, 2011 at 1:07 pm
He did not say that he was the fourth best, he was simply complimenting his administration for the hard work they’ve done, thus far, just as any leader should. You people are blinded by your own ignorance!

He is the worst presidetn this country has ever seen. guess he did not read teh AP article saying his approval ratings are the lowest in history for nay president at this time in his presidency. LBJ and Carter were teh next 2.
December 19th, 2011 at 9:22 pm
He is the only president in our history to take office the month after over 700,000 American jobs were lost. We are now gaining jobs.
Let’s not go back to the policies that led to the economic crash. Even if his policies didn’t lead to us getting OBL, he would still be a great president.
When you add that we got OBL, it shows that the conservative/republican way to fight the war on terror just isn’t effective enough.
December 19th, 2011 at 9:25 pm
Well let’s see. When Obama took over the Dow had shrunk from @14,000 down to 6500. And now it’s up to over 12,000 again.
Bin Laden was still telling Bush “be-low me”. Children had a pre-existing condition waiting period before they could see a Doctor.
We were bleeding over 750,000 per month and now we are creating@120,000 jobs per month.
GDP was shrinking at -6% per year and now GDP is growing @3%. And best of all, Teabaggers #$%$ their pants when they see his name.
That last one alone makes Obama the best ever! G#$%$ Obama is the greatest President ever!!! Ha Ha!!!
December 19th, 2011 at 9:26 pm
Amazing. This clown is clearly delusional. He has accomplished NOTHING. He talks a good game but is an empty suit. The man has no leadership skills whatsoever.
December 19th, 2011 at 9:27 pm
The negro is just not qualified. The fact that he thinks that he is better than a white man is enough to put me off.
December 19th, 2011 at 9:28 pm
Hey #$%$ Obama did more in 3 years to fight terrorism than G W Bush did in 8!
December 19th, 2011 at 9:31 pm
What can Obama do when the republicans’ number one priority is not the American people but to politically destroy Obama?
December 19th, 2011 at 9:37 pm
You republicans get your history about former presidents from Fox and now you are experts presidents…
Really…
Obama has been president for less than 3 years. The economy was in the ditch before he took office. Would any of you want to be the president who came after Bush?
That incompetent moron may go down as the worst president in the USA, and a war criminal.
Sally
December 19th, 2011 at 9:39 pm
Please who are you republicans comparing Obama to? Bush who was a total idiot.
Reagan? Who was destroyed the economy with his star wars spending and trickle down economics??
Nixon- who was a liar?? I can go on..
December 19th, 2011 at 9:45 pm
4th best in acomplishing what?He hasn’t acomplished one damned thing that is good for the country and or the people as well.
He is over al the best in lying, that go’s without saying.I’m glad he will soon be gone
December 19th, 2011 at 9:46 pm
He is sicker than I thought. 4th best President, I think not, how about 38th worst.
December 19th, 2011 at 9:46 pm

December 19th, 2011 at 9:53 pm
What a hoot! This guy is lost in his own narcissism. More than half of the country thinks he’s the single WORST president in U.S. history.
December 19th, 2011 at 9:54 pm
No one Tops bush! NO ONE!
December 19th, 2011 at 9:56 pm

I love it…Your hate just eats you up and keeps you foaming at the mouth. LOL

Dubya is the worst followed by Reagan and daddy bush. Don’t hear much anymore about Dubya. Probably at the bottom of a bottle somewhere.

I know it was better for the comedians when bush was in office. Especially for SNL’s Will Ferrell.
Bush senior, brought Dana Carvey Back. Yes, those were the good ole days for comedians, especially SNL.
But for he rest of the country and the world they were a disaster.

Maybe if you are a homosexual, a pedophile, a muslim, a transexual, a illegal immigrant a banker, a food stamp receipient, a person on welfare, a atheis,t a anti christian bigot
a socialist, then maybe you would agree Obama is the 4 th best president.

Your move, just the facts, thought would help.

This president is the worst president the USA has EVER had, he is should hang his head in shame after the false promises he made to the American people..
.thank god I can say I did not vote for him, but god save us all from his lack of direction and dedication to us the people of USA who gave him our trust,
December 19th, 2011 at 10:32 pm
Really, G.?
Who gave us the Great Depression?
Or the S&L crisis.
Or 2 unfunded wars and a Great Recession?
December 19th, 2011 at 10:39 pm
It is hard to fault Obama as he followed one of the four worst presidents in US history. It is possible that his judgment is swayed by that fact.
Bush left him with a burst housing and investment bubble, two wars in the middle east and a lot of unhappy americans.
To his credit, Obama did not drag us into a third war in Libya. Our troops are coming home although the odds are against the rulers in Iraq staying in power just as the takeover in South Vietnam occured after our troops left there.
Yes, he has not yet solved our economic woes, But how can he when he has to deal with the obstructionist policies of the Right?
Republicians have no solutions. Their return to power would be a second Bush bust.

Wow, talk about a MISLEADING headline.
The prez did not say that he was the 4th best president in history, only that his legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in his FIRST 2 years can stack up agaisnt anyone in history, except the ones he listed.
People will find anything to twist the words and make it sound like the prez is full of himself. Use your brains, folks.
December 19th, 2011 at 10:42 pm
Spin or not, President Obama still thinks he has the most accomplishments in his first 2 years of all but 4 Presidents?
I think history will belie that statement, but it is kinda subjective, so even though the statement shows that he is full of himself, some may think he is correct.
December 19th, 2011 at 10:43 pm
changing the subject… Anna Grace.. whose in?
December 19th, 2011 at 10:44 pm
Dude, no matter how you may feel about him (I did not vote for him or agree with all of his policies), he has done quite of bit since he took office.
The economy is struggling, but we did not go into collapse. He has made a number of moves in the foreign policy department that have been huge.
So, all I can say is that Obama has done his job and that is what he will be judged on in November.
We will never have a prez that does everything we want, but it boils down to whether or not we should replace him with someone else.
None of the republican candidates fit the bill at this point. Obama has not been as bad as many would like to say in my honest opinion.
December 19th, 2011 at 10:45 pm
Obama will go down in history as the worst president in U.S. history. Mark my words

This weekend, Vaclav Havel, the great anti-Communist freedom fighter passed away. In addition to having been imprisoned by the Communists, he led the “Velvet Revolution” en route to becoming the Czech Republic’s first president after the fall of the Soviet Empire.
Havel na Hrad! (Havel to the Castle!) read the signs as Eastern Europe began to experience freedom.
Also this weekend, the last of the U.S. combat troops, who have bravely given everything that they had, left Iraq, ending U.S. operations there. And Kim Jong-Il, the brutal dictator of North Korea, passed away.
As Iran and the Shias will inevitably fill the power vacuum now developing in the Middle East and with Kim Jong-Un, who is not even 30 years old, now in charge of a nuclear arsenal in North Korea, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions began a transition of sorts this weekend.
Indeed, December 18, 2011 will be a date historians write about as one of those symbolic pivot points in both areas. The question that remains is whether both those regions will continue to experience the reign of oppressive and freedom-crushing rulers, not unlike the Soviets Havel fought against, or will they become countries more hospitable to freedom, like the Czech Republic Havel led?
Having grown up in Orange County, California, I am obviously a Reagan aficionado. We learned a lot about Reagan in our schools, and, along they way, we were able to learn a bit about Havel.
I remember how much passages from his books, The Power of The Powerless and The Art of the Impossible, struck me and influenced me. Though Havel is in a lot better place than Kim Jong-Il now, and his words serve as a powerful reminder of how life is like in many parts of the Middle East and North Korea.
Here’s how Havel described the “post-totalitarian” world in The Power of The Powerless:
“The post-totalitarian system touches people at every step, but it does so with its ideological gloves on. This is why life in the system is so thoroughly permeated with hypocrisy and lies:
government by bureaucracy is called popular government; the working class is enslaved in the name of the working class; the complete degradation of the individual is presented as his ultimate liberation; depriving people of information is called making it available;
the use of power to manipulate is called the public control of power, and the arbitrary abuse of power is called observing the legal code;
the repression of culture is called its development; the expansion of imperial influence is presented as support for the oppressed; the lack of free expression becomes the highest form of freedom; farcical elections become the highest form of democracy; banning independent thought becomes the most scientific of world views; military occupation becomes fraternal assistance.
Because the regime is captive to its own lies, it must falsify everything. It falsifies the past. It falsifies the present, and it falsifies the future.
It falsifies statistics. It pretends not to possess an omnipotent and unprincipled police apparatus. It pretends to respect human rights. It pretends to persecute no one. It pretends to fear nothing. It pretends to pretend nothing.”

Talk about misleading titles. These guys are right out of the book “1984.”

Obama will change the way the civilization sees itself should he get re-relected.
If he does not get re-elected, civilization will still be forced to change the way it sees itself, but unfortunately the vision may not quite so pleasant.
Of course, the factor of THE TWO makes these two statements variable, but the reality of what is coming for Earth is incomprehensible for HBs today. Give it 30 months.
I mean no offense to those drawing lines on the outcome. I’ve learned too much recently. I am purposefully not blogging. I’m resigned that HBs have steered themselves to this outcome.
I will also not write about the light technology. HBs will see soon enough. If Howie feels you need to know, he will expound.
