While Republicans Try To Ruin, Obama Is Busy Saving

Good morning!

Mike: This is a nod to you.

While the republicans are constantly running around trying to induce fear about everything from terrorists to the debt crisis to anyone that will listen, (that’s a nod to you Rachel - I agree with your stand on Chris Matthews take on Mitch Daniels), President Obama takes action, kicks ass, and handles it (With help of course:)

As usual, any good thing Obama does, the republicans don’t want to give any attention to it. And this is no different. I have news from a reliable authority that the republicans are limiting their coverage of this news event and that they have sent a spin on the rescue to accuse Obama of staging it, to coincide with his State of the Union speech on Tuesday.

Like I said yesterday, they will do anything, or in this case try to keep it on the hush hush,  to get Obama out of the White House.

A big thanks to the  Special Ops, the same Navy SEALS who also killed Osama bin Laden, two hostages that were kidnapped and held since last October, are now free, unharmed, and safe. What would we do without our SEALS and Obama? I am so proud of and grateful for both.

Update 10:26 AM: The original video is restricted. If you want to watch it, click on the title below. Or just watch the new video that I just posted of this amazing and courageous rescue by our Navy SEALS.

Raid In Somalia: U.S. Military Frees Hostages Held Since October

*******

MOGADISHU, Somalia — U.S. Navy SEALs parachuted into Somalia under cover of darkness early Wednesday and crept up to an outdoor camp where an American woman and Danish man were being held hostage. Soon, nine kidnappers were dead and both hostages were freed.

President Barack Obama authorized the mission by SEAL Team 6 two days earlier, deploying the same unit that killed Osama bin Laden last year. Minutes after the president gave his State of the Union address to Congress he was on the phone with the American’s father to tell him his daughter was safe.

The Danish Refugee Council confirmed the two aid workers, American Jessica Buchanan and Poul Hagen Thisted, a Dane, were “on their way to be reunited with their families.”

Buchanan, 32, and Thisted, 60, were working with a de-mining unit of the Danish Refugee Council when gunmen kidnapped the two in October.

The raiders came in quickly, catching the guards as they were sleeping after having chewed the narcotic leaf qat for much of the evening, a pirate who gave his name as Bile Hussein told The Associated Press by phone. Hussein said he was not present at the site but had spoken with other pirates who were, and that they told him nine pirates had been killed in the raid and three were “taken away.”

The hostage rescue was carried out by the same SEAL unit behind the operation in Pakistan last May that killed bin Laden, two U.S. officials said on condition of anonymity to discuss the operation. It was not clear if any members participated in both operations. The unit is the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, also known as SEAL Team 6.

One official said that the team parachuted into the area before moving on foot to the target. The raid happened near the Somali town of Adado.

New intelligence emerged last week that Buchanan’s health was “deteriorating rapidly,” so Obama directed his security team to develop a rescue plan, according to a senior administration official who was not authorized to speak publicly. A Danish Refugee Council official, Mary Ann Olsen, said that Buchanan was “not that ill” but needed medicine.

“As Commander-in-Chief, I could not be prouder of the troops who carried out this mission, and the dedicated professionals who supported their efforts,” Obama said in a statement released by the White House. “The United States will not tolerate the abduction of our people, and will spare no effort to secure the safety of our citizens and to bring their captors to justice.”

A Western official said the rescuers and the freed hostages flew by helicopter to a U.S. military base called Camp Lemonnier in the Horn of Africa nation of Djibouti. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the information had not been released publicly. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta visited Camp Lemonnier just over a month ago. A key U.S. ally in this region, Djibouti has the only U.S. base in sub-Saharan Africa. It hosts the military’s Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.

The timing of the raid may have been made more urgent by Buchanan’s medical condition. The Danish Refugee Council had been trying to work with Somali elders to win the hostages’ freedom but had found little success.

“One of the hostages has a disease that was very serious and that had to be solved,” Danish Foreign Minister Villy Soevndal told Denmark’s TV2 channel. Soevndal did not provide any more details. Soevndal congratulated the Americans for the raid.

The Danish Refugee Council said both freed hostages are unharmed “and at a safe location.” The group said in a separate statement that the two “are on their way to be reunited with their families.”

Olsen informed Thisted’s family of of the successful military operation and said “they were very happy and incredibly relieved that it is over.” Olsen said the two freed hostages were in Djibouti and would soon be moved to a “safe haven.” She said Buchanan does not need to be hospitalized.

“One of the first things Poul and Jessica were able to do was to call their families and say they were freed,” Olsen said. “They will be reunited with their families as quickly as possible,” Olsen said.

The head of the Danish Refugee Council, Andreas Kamm, said he would have preferred to see the two hostages freed peacefully after working with Somali groups to win the pair’s freedom, “but we’re happy with the outcome. This is a day of joy indeed.”

The two aid workers appear to have been kidnapped by criminals – sometimes referred to as pirates – and not by Somalia’s al-Qaida-linked militant group al-Shabab. As large ships at sea have increased their defenses against pirate attacks, gangs have looked for other money making opportunities like land-based kidnappings.

The Danish Refugee Council had earlier enlisted traditional Somali elders and members of civil society to seek the release of the two hostages.

“We are really happy with the successful release of the innocents kidnapped by evildoers,” said Mohamud Sahal, an elder in Galkayo town, by phone. “They were guests who were treated brutally. That was against Islam and our culture … These men (pirates) have spoiled our good customs and culture, so Somalis should fight back.”

Buchanan lived in neighboring Kenya before Somalia, and worked at a school in Nairobi called the Rosslyn Academy from 2007-09, said Rob Beyer, the dean of students. He described the American as quick to laugh and adventurous.

“There have been tears on and around the campus today,” Beyer said. “She was well-loved by all her students.”

Buchanan graduated in 2006 from Valley Forge Christian College, a small suburban Philadelphia school. The school’s president, the Rev. Don Meyer, said Buchanan taught at Rosslyn as part of her studies and “fell in love with Africa.”

“Ever since Jessica was captured, we all as a community have been praying for her safety and for her safe release,” Meyer said. “We are also grateful that our prayers have been answered.”

Buchanan and Thisted were seized in October from the portion of Galkayo town under the control of a government-allied clan militia. The aid agency has said that Somalis held demonstrations demanding the pair’s quick release.

Their Somali colleague was detained by police on suspicion of being involved in their kidnapping.

The two hostages were working in northern Somalia for the Danish Demining Group, whose experts have been clearing mines and unexploded ordnance in conflict zones in Africa and the Middle East.

Several hostages are still being held in Somalia, including a British tourist, two Spanish doctors seized from neighboring Kenya, and an American journalist kidnapped on Saturday.

Readers: It’s incredible just how much Obama has done for this country…all the jobs he has created..And that jobs are being brought back home…in-sourced!…And wasn’t it just wonderful to hear that GM, an American company is back on top as the world’s number -one auto maker?! I think America is pretty damn happy. Did you see the stats? Definitely something to be proud of.

According to the poll, which was conducted online by Knowledge Networks immediately after the president’s address, 91 percent of those who watched the speech approved of the proposals Mr. Obama put forth during his remarks. Only nine percent disapproved.

Howie: I just had to go back and read your comment. I find it interesting that these billionaires are paying researchers to find ways to add  years to their lives, when we have been told that humans have the capability of living so much longer than we have if we just eat right, and take care of our bodies with the things that are naturally here on earth.  That if we just stay away from the chemicals that are so prevalent in our food and drink, and just ingest the right products in the correct proportions we would live so much longer.

I find it interesting and quite stupid that greed has gotten the best of these billionaires who have made so much money off of products that are ruining the earth and our natural resources and poisoning humans; themselves included. Again, as madaline stated years ago, greed and greedy people are like a disease that eats away at the host until there is no more host and the disease dies. Unless we change our ways with earth, the earth will survive but our resources will not; hence nor will we.

TM: Liked your comment.

Mike: There is no country first with the republicans. “Anybody but Obama” (ABO) is their motto. And…they are all Lying Sacks Of Shit. While republicans are trying to ruin our country, Obama is busy saving it in so many ways.

Done for the day…Blog me.

  1. General Info Says:

    Disaster-Proof Your Home

The federal government declared 86 major natural disasters in the first nine months of 2011, more than in any full year in the past.

Ten of those disasters topped $1 billion in damage, and at least three—Hurricane Irene along the Atlantic coast up to Vermont…the Virginia-based earthquake…and wildfires as far north as Minnesota—remind us that disasters can strike homes that are not built to withstand them.

There’s no way to make a house completely disaster-proof, but there are home-improvement projects that can significantly limit damage and/or improve the odds that a home will survive.

Not all of these projects make financial sense for every home owner, but many provide considerable protection at a reasonable price.
Helpful: Insurers sometimes offer discounts to home owners who invest in home-protection upgrades.

    WILDFIRES

Wildfires are most common in hot, dry areas but can strike any homes built near wild lands.

Managing vegetation within 100 feet of your house, especially the closest 30 feet, helps keep away flames and intense heat. Keep this area clear of leaves and other dead-plant debris, and choose fire-resistant vegetation (search for “Fire-Safe Landscaping” at http://www.usfa.fema.gov).

    Additional wildfire-protection steps…
Have a Class-A fire-rated roof installed when you next replace your roof.

The roof is the most vulnerable part of your home in a wildfire. If it is not sufficiently fire-resistant, a single ember from a fire a mile or more away could drift on the wind, land on your roof and burn down your home.

Class-A roofs typically feature asphalt shingles (though not all asphalt shingles achieve a Class-A rating), clay or concrete tiles or steel roofing products.

Roof coverings that don’t qualify as Class A on their own still can qualify as Class A as part of a roof design that includes fire-resistant underlayment materials, such as fiberglass.

If leaves collect where roofing intersects with siding—along the side of dormers or where the lower section of a split-level roof meets the higher part of the home, for example—ask your roofer to install metal flashing (thin continuous pieces of sheet metal) along these intersections.

Otherwise, if those leaves catch fire, the fire could spread to the siding and then into the home.

Also: Cover roof vent openings with 1⁄8-inch metal mesh. This costs very little and reduces the size of embers that can get into the attic through vents.

Add metal flashing between your wood deck and your home. If your deck catches fire, this flashing will significantly reduce the odds that the fire will spread to the rest of the home.

The flashing ideally should extend 18 inches or more above the deck surface. A contractor typically can do this for a few hundred dollars.

If you are replacing your deck and you are in an area that is prone to wildfires, consider having the new deck made from a composite material that includes fire-retardant chemicals or from wood that has been treated with an exterior fire retardant.

This is likely to increase the cost of materials by at least 50%, and potentially much more.

Replace wood fencing within a few feet of the home with fencing made from a nonflammable material, such as metal or brick.

Otherwise, the wood fence could act as a wick, leading a wildfire right to your home. Even replacing just the portions of the wood fence that are directly adjacent to the home with a noncombustible material will reduce the odds that a fence fire will spread to the home.

Select double- or triple-paned windows with a fully tempered outer pane the next time you replace your windows.

These are less likely to shatter in the heat of a wildfire. Shattered windows give wildfires a way to enter the home.

Double- and triple-paned windows are expensive, but their energy efficiency can help recoup those costs.

    FLOODS

Projects that can help protect homes located in flood zones…

Have components of the heating-ventilation-and-air-conditioning (HVAC) and electrical system raised as high as possible—

ideally to 12 inches or more above the base flood elevation (available at FEMA’s online Map Service Center, http://msc.fema.gov, search for “Flood Maps”) or above the high-water mark reached in previous floods, whichever is higher.

Electricians and HVAC contractors might charge anywhere from a few hundred to many thousands of dollars to do this, depending on the extent of rewiring and ductwork alterations required, but this could prevent destruction of those systems.

Have a sump pump installed in your basement to remove any water that gets in. Select one that has battery backup that will last up to 24 hours or more so that it doesn’t stop working if flooding knocks out your power. Expect to pay perhaps $500 to $1,000, installed.

    EARTHQUAKES

Destructive earthquakes are possible in parts of the US located far from the famously quake-prone Pacific coast. Among home owners’ options…

Have flexible connections spliced into gas and water lines. The odds of a gas or water line snapping in an earthquake can be significantly reduced by replacing sections of rigid pipe with flexible piping near where these lines connect to appliances and equipment.

A plumber should be able to do this for a few hundred dollars.

Strengthen cripple walls. Cripple walls are short, wood-framed walls found above the foundation in basements or crawl spaces.

They’re often vulnerable to collapse in earthquakes. Contractors can affix plywood or cross-bracing to strengthen cripple walls, greatly reducing the risk for collapse, typically for just a few thousand dollars.

Add strapping or bolts to strengthen the connection between the home and its foundation. A contractor should be able to do this for a few thousand dollars.

Also: Have your water heater strapped to a wall so it is less likely to break away.

    HURRICANES

Screwing plywood over windows isn’t the only way to protect a home from hurricane damage…

Strengthen the connection between roof decking and framing when you next have your roof reshingled or replaced.

Driving additional nails through the decking (the structural skin of a roof) and into the framing below it significantly decreases the odds that the roof will be ripped off in a hurricane—the single greatest hurricane damage risk.

Ask to have 2 ⅜-inch (eight-penny) or longer ring-shank nails used to do this, not the six-penny nails or staples that most roofing contractors use.

Installing these extra nails should add only a few hundred dollars.

When the roof is replaced, have the roofer install a secondary moisture barrier that’s more robust than the usual layer of felt paper.

This protects against moisture damage and also, in the winter, prevents ice dams from forming from melting snow.

This could be a synthetic underlayment, two or more layers of underlayment cemented together or a self-adhering waterproof membrane called a polymer-modified bitumen sheet.

For specific guidance, check http://www.DisasterSafety.org (put “Roofing the Right Way” in the search box). This could add from a few hundred to $1,000 or more to the cost.

Warning: Your roof-strengthening options are less appealing if you are not reshingling.

There are foam adhesives that improve the connection between decking and framing when sprayed onto the underside of roof decking along all the joints with the roof framing, but these provide minimal benefit.

Contractors sometimes recommend adding hurricane strapping to tie the roof to the walls of a home, but this often just causes the top of the walls to be ripped away, along with the roof, in a hurricane.

To be effective, strapping must connect the roof all the way down to the foundation—a cost-effective project only during initial home construction.

Strengthen doors and windows. Once hurricane winds have found a way into the home, the odds that the roof will be blown off increase dramatically.

Plywood window and door coverings are a cost-effective solution. If hurricanes are very common in your area, consider getting commercially produced shutters that have permanently installed anchor systems and are easier to install when a storm threatens.

Hurricane shutters range from $10 to $50 per square foot installed. Impact-resistant windows can be a viable alternative, though expensive.

The fact that Lara Logan said she thinks of safety now and really didn’t before, goes to show the incredible ignorance of white upper middle class American women.

They think the rest of the world is like the United States, when it isn’t. A foreign-born female journalist lives with it ALL THE TIME.

Remember people, the rest of the world is not like here. They are crazy people here, sure, but nothing like the mad world out there, especially in areas full of extremists anti-women governments.

Even so-called nice places, like Jordan, still think honor killings are okay.

TUMON, Guam – Starting January 3, all EVA Airways flights from Taipei to Guam will be on Hello Kitty jets.

In addition to carrying 57 extra passengers per flight, the jet will also be wrapped in Hello Kitty iconography, from wing to wing, cockpit to tail.

These luxurious new aircraft are EVA’s A330-300s. Each one is configured with 30 seats in Premium Laurel Class and 279 seats in Economy Class.

Aside from Hello Kitty images on the plane’s exterior, guests will find the famous feline all over the aircraft, from seats and headrests to in-flight meals and flight attendant attire.

These special “Hello Kitty Around the World” planes, launched to celebrate EVA Airways’ 20th anniversary, are new generation Hello Kitty aircraft—with special upgrades including better entertainment systems and cabin seats—and are also the last of the newly-launched planes completing EVA’s fleet.

Having just joined the Taipei-Guam flight market in June 2011, EVA’s decision to start the year by dedicating these special aircraft to the Taipei-Guam flight route signals the airline’s further investment and expectations of the market, which has grown approximately 40 percent in the last fiscal year.

“We are so excited to welcome Hello Kitty to Guam,” said Guam Visitors Bureau General Manager Joann Camacho, “Guam truly has something to offer to everybody—human or feline—and we trust she will help us reach our goal of continuing to broaden the Taiwan market by attracting a new demographic.”

Looking forward, EVA Airways has expressed the goal of bringing 30,000 passengers from Taipei to Guam by the end of the 2012 calendar year.

With Hello Kitty adding yet another unique element to Guam’s multi-faceted tourism offerings, this goal may not seem so lofty after all.

ABOUT EVA AIRWAYS HELLO KITTY JETS

Following the precedent established with EVA’s two first-generation Hello Kitty Jets, the airline is applying the irrepressible character’s theme to the design of more than 100 in-flight service items.

At check-in, passengers on these aircraft are greeted by Hello Kitty boarding passes and baggage stickers.

Onboard, they’ll discover Hello Kitty headrest covers, tissue, paper cups, utensils, milk bottles, snacks, hand-washing liquid, hand lotion, meals, and ice cream.

Flight attendants wear Hello Kitty aprons and special insignias on their uniforms. And at intervals, EVA will offer a series of limited-edition Hello Kitty duty-free products, enabling fans to acquire collectibles and enjoy happy journeys at the same time.

And I’m not there to make people leap here, if they do and love it, great.
Luv, Zen Lill – I do hope you choose health, Tal and TAO group would want that for you, me 2 : )

Mischa, great comment about billionaires, I guess they were too busy being greedy to realized they just screwed themselves as well, now they are scrambling for a way to prolong life for the ones who can afford the extreme measures that it will take when they could’ve just kept it easy – for everyone…ah well. That’s greed for you…

  9. Human Events Says:

Newt Gingrich won a landslide victory in Saturday’s South Carolina primary that historically picks the Republican presidential nominee. He fended off a barrage of negative media that threatened to derail his campaign in the final days.

In light of Gingrich’s surge, there is no better way to vet his candidacy than by examining his philosophy as written in his latest book, A Nation Like No Other: Why American Exceptionalism Matters.

What is American Exceptionalism? It is not the bragging of a pompous superpower, says Gingrich, but a system built on the ideals of the Declaration of Independence and the unique American identity that arose from them.

With this as our guiding ethos, America has always stood apart from all other nations.

Today, however, American Exceptionalism is threatened not only by the small group of Americans who actively seek to undermine it, but by a larger group who don’t really know what it means. So confused, they acquiesce to policies that inevitably distance our nation from our founding ideals and historic values.

“Belief in American Exceptionalism leads inexorably to a smaller, more effective, accountable, and limited government,” writes Gingrich. “The American revolutionaries did not shed their blood for the welfare state; nor did they aim to replace the arbitrary rule of King George and his ‘multitude of New Offices’ and ‘swarms of Officers, with their own oppressive bureaucracy. Instead, they fought for individual liberty — and that made America an exception among all other nations.”

But it’s still not too late to recover our birthright as Americans — and in his latest book, A Nation Like No Other, Gingrich shows us how. You’ll discover:

How the American nation was forged on religious convictions that radical secularists are fighting to extinguish

Why Big Government and an increasingly centralized economy are the antitheses of our founding principles

Why America’s founders would have regarded our exploding national debt as not only economically harmful, but also as immoral

The five fundamental habits and dispositions that support and protect the unalienable rights of life and liberty, and allow Americans to pursue happiness

How recovering the principles of American Exceptionalism will enable us to compete in the twenty-first century

And now you can receive a FREE copy of A Nation Like No Other with a risk-free trial subscription to Human Events.

It’s the periodical that the peerless Ann Coulter, our legal affairs correspondent and a key participant in our weekly editorial meetings, proudly considers her editorial “home” — and where you can read her trenchant, biting satirical columns.

Says Ann: “Not only do I write a weekly column for Human Events, I devour it from cover to cover. Why? Because it’s the one newspaper I can count on to bring me the absolute, unvarnished, hard-hitting truth. And so should you. ”

Human Events is written and edited by gutsy people who will rescue you from the sticky tar pit of political correctness that passes for contemporary reporting… not girlie-boy editors afraid of sticking to their guns!

That means by reading Human Events, you can count on learning the news the liberal media try so hard to keep secret!

    For example…

In a recent issue of Human Events we reported on those “thousands of acres” Obama speaks of as ready for oil drilling in U.S. waters… virtually none have been found to have any oil! In other words, Obama has no intention of opening new drilling anywhere in the U.S. — no matter how high the price of gasoline soars!

Human Events also reported that Obama’s “economic stimulus” was simply a gargantuan gift to the states — to make sure pampered government workers did not share the same painful fate as private sector-workers who lost jobs by the millions.

Human Events revealed that ObamaCare is so brilliant and so wonderful that trade unions and companies friendly to the president are fleeing it by the thousands. In fact, Obama’s health care plan is so desirable that 20% of the exemptions have gone to Nancy Pelosi’s posh district in San Francisco!

There’s so much at stake today. America is facing its biggest financial crisis of modern times and liberals just don’t get it. Never has it been more important for you to get the truth — and not just the P.C. pabulum dished up by the mainstream media.

And now you can try Human Events with this special introductory offer — a full 30-week trial subscription at the reduced rate of just $39.95, just over a dollar an issue.

  12. Health Info Says:

THE BEST WAY TO CONVINCE TEENS TO AVOID THE SUN

Tell your teen son or daughter — or grandchild — that getting a tan increases his or her risk for skin cancer, and you’re likely to get an eye roll.

Though it’s a true statement, it doesn’t mean much to many kids, whose youth can make them feel immortal.

Instead of limiting their sun exposure with clothing or sunscreen, teens will probably let your advice go in one ear and out the other… and keep right on toward a future with skin cancer.

But there’s another way to get through to the teen mind. And the US Preventive Services Task Force — a federal health advisory panel made up of health-care providers — recently recommended that all primary-care doctors try it on teens.

Recalling how careless I was (wasn’t everybody?) about the sun in my youth, and eager to learn more about this motivational tactic, I called the chair of the Task Force, Virginia Moyer, MD, MPH, a pediatrician and a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, who saw no reason why a parent couldn’t try it, too.

So what’s the trick? Just tell teens that ultraviolet (UV) rays will hurt their appearance — in other words, forget mentioning cancer and simply explain how too much sun will make them less attractive.

    PLAYING THE VANITY CARD

It’s especially important for young people to protect their skin.

Even just one blistering sunburn as a youngster more than doubles a person’s chances of developing melanoma — the deadliest form of skin cancer –

later in life, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation, an organization made up of physicians and laypeople whose mission is to raise awareness about skin cancer. Yet, research from the CDC reveals that less than one-third of American youths practice effective sun protection.

So a few years ago, the Task Force began analyzing what truly motivates people to protect themselves from the sun by looking at 57 studies, including ones that specifically addressed how effective different types of counseling were among all age groups.

Overall, they found that for young people between the ages of 10 and 24, focusing on their vanity is effective.

For instance, in one of the recent studies, which was published in Health Psychology, researchers at the University of California, San Diego, showed male and female college students photos and videos about how sunlight causes premature aging while a control group was shown neither.

Four to five months later, when researchers examined the same students’ skin, they discovered that the groups that were shown photos and videos had lighter skin, compared with the control group –

indicating that the students who were aware that sun exposure could worsen their appearance had taken steps to protect themselves from the sun.

    TACTICS FOR HOME USE

When I asked Dr. Moyer how parents might use the same type of approach, she suggested saying something along these lines — “Your skin will look younger, healthier and more beautiful if it isn’t subjected to harsh sunlight.

You’ll have fewer wrinkles and blotches.” I have to admit, I myself might take it further: “Honey, you’ll be less beautiful”… or “less handsome”… or (dare I?) “gross-looking!”

Now why does this kind of counseling resonate with teens? Young people, Dr. Moyer pointed out, are at an age when having a flawless appearance feels especially critical, whether in terms of getting a date, being popular with peers or looking for a job.

If a young person says it’s chic to have a tan, you could point out the Web site of dermatologist and film buff Vail Reese, MD, http://www.Skinema.com/Act6Sun.html, where a teen can see pictures of several well-known actors before and after frequent exposure to the sun.

Give it a try — it can’t hurt and it just might help.

  13. HOWIE Says:

    Michelle:

Unfortunately, all who live on this planet are living with pollution that has found its way into every ecosystem from the air we breathe to the water we drink, and the soil we plant our crops in. This poison is ingested by fish which are eaten by larger fish — poisons and heavy metals have made it into livestock — whether organic or not — from the foods they are fed, the water they drink and the air they breathe.

we have been told that humans have the capability of living so much longer than we have if we just eat right, and take care of our bodies with the things that are naturally here on earth. That if we just stay away from the chemicals that are so prevalent in our food and drink, and just ingest the right products in the correct proportions we would live so much longer.

That is not possible. It is a pipe dream. We may gain some health and vitality from doing this, but living organically will not change our life spans in any great way. We have too much for our immune systems to fight on a daily basis.

It does not look good for human life on this planet. We cannot hide from what humans have done to this planet. It was these old billionaires and giant chemical companies suchas Dupont and the like which have

When I go outside on a beautiful sunny day, I feel like I will live forever and the earth will go on forever and everything is just beautiful. The trees are growing, the birds are singing and all is well.

This is not reality. We know what is happening to the planet. Global warming is real. Clean, fresh, unadulterated water will be a commodity that wars will be fought over.

What goes around, comes around. While these billionaires and their corporations were destroying our planet and raping its population, they destroyed the only place they have to live.

Mother Nature will have her revenge on the greedy who have committed crimes against humanity for so many years. Now it will come to bit them in the ass with the rest of the population. Their billions will not save them in the end. They will perish and be extinct just like the rest of us. It is just a matter of when.

as Madaline stated: “greed and greedy people are like a disease that eats away at the host until there is no more host and the disease dies.”

Humans are the disease. The earth is the Host. It is too late to begin doing something about it now. This should have been thought of 50 years ago after the post-WWII boom.

  15. Zen Lill Says:

Howie, what you say is scary and frightening true. Do you,Carr, or Tao group think that the outcome could be different to turn it around or do we just accept it?

  16. Doug The Main Dude Says:

Spot on Howie. The host, Gaia, will remain, as she has for over 4 billions years. Humans, are a blip in the evolutionary timeline, and the blip will die out. Monsanto has a patent on a pig, and all other food in the world. They have lobbied and created laws that outlaw home gardening and possession of heirloom seeds. Humans will not make it in the long run. I give us no more than another 50 – 200 years tops. This is why the rich are looking into cyborg technology and implanting human brains into the cyborg unit. The rich think that human life is about the brain…so, they are looking to be able to put them and their families brains into cyborg units when the world reaches a point that the human body cannot exist in our environment…or perhaps when the rich are able to live on the moon…

Larkspur, I’m a big fan of Family Guy. You can be disappointed if you like, I know when a real racist speaks and so do you, you can act offended by me ‘not recognizing’ if you like, it’s your charge on the subject, not mine. I meant no offense to anyone except Holly and only to her bc she seemed to be looking for a beef in wanting to dissect the recipe/the credit given/everything but just accepting what was meant to be helpful and just a healthy recipe. If she or anyone else didn’t like the recipe then don’t make it, period. no like, no cook, or is that a remark offending everyone who doesn’t say properly, ‘if you don’t like it please do not cook it’ I won’t post any further helpful hints/recipes. – ZL
