Flap Your Lips Friday
Posted by Michelle Moquin on October 12th, 2012
Good morning!
Biden was flapping his lips alright…And I can see many of you have been doing the same same this morning. Evidently you watched the debate. And yes, I did as well. I cheered Biden when he was relentless, charging forward and not backing down. And I shook my head and chuckled along with him at the lies that were coming out of Ryan’s LSOS mouth.
Biden was polite to use the word “accurate”: “Not a single thing he said is accurate”. But we all know what he was thinking. I realize it is not PC to call a candidate an LSOS, but we all know what Biden was thinking it, didn’t we? Well Okay…not all - those of you repubs, do me and everyone in this country a favor – check your facts…get the real truth. Don’t let the “likable look” of the guy mask his many lies. If you care about country over everything else, you’ll know what ticket to punch come November 6th.
Big kudos goes to Martha Raddatz, the moderator. She commanded that table and did it with ease. I thought she was brilliant….so much better than Lehrer. I really enjoyed how she orchestrated the debate. It seems I am one of many who think the same.
This came across my plate this morning:
Roger Rivard Loses Support From Wisconsin Republicans After Saying ‘Some Girls Rape Easy’
Wisconsin Republicans are quickly disowning state Rep. Roger Rivard (R-Rice Lake), after he told a newspaper that “[s]ome girls rape easy.”
Republican Senate candidate and former Gov. Tommy Thompson became the latest to join the chorus on Thursday, putting out a statement saying he was “offended” by what the state lawmaker said.
“As a husband, a father of two daughters and the grandfather of six beautiful granddaughters, I am offended by state Representative Rivard’s indefensible remarks,” Thompson said. “We must take instances of rape and sexual assault seriously and hold the perpetrators accountable to the utmost degree.”
Rivard actually made his controversial remark — which he said was advice shared with him by his father — in December, when he talked to The Chetek Alert newspaper about the case of a 17-year-old high school student who was charged with sexual assault after having sex with an underage girl in the band room. The interview came to wider public notice after the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported on it on Wednesday.
Rivard told the Journal-Sentinel that his comments were “taken out of context,” saying his father meant to convey that if “you do (have premarital sex), just remember, consensual sex can turn into rape in an awful hurry.”
“Because all of a sudden a young lady gets pregnant and the parents are madder than a wet hen and she’s not going to say, ‘Oh, yeah, I was part of the program.’ All that she has to say or the parents have to say is it was rape because she’s underage. And he just said, ‘Remember, Roger, if you go down that road, some girls,’ he said, ‘they rape so easy,’” Rivard said.
Rivard is a freshman lawmaker and is stuck in a tight race for reelection against Democrat Stephen Smith.
Thompson had not endorsed Rivard — but Gov. Scott Walker (R) and vice presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) had. Both men withdrew their endorsements on Thursday, and state Rep. Robin Vos (R-Rochester) — who is leading the effort to maintain a Republican majority in the Wisconsin Assembly — also pulled his support.
It’s the second time in recent months that Ryan has had to distance himself from a fellow Republican making insensitive comments about rape. In August, after Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) said women can’t get pregnant after a “legitimate rape,” both Ryan and Mitt Romney — as well as much of the GOP establishment — called on him to withdraw his bid for U.S. Senate. Since that time, Romney and Ryan have maintained their distance, but other members of the party have jumped back in to help Akin defeat Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.).
Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) said he plans to donate the amount Rivard had given to his 2010 and 2012 congressional campaigns – $500 – to the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse in Superior, Wis.
Rivard has said he “very much” regrets sharing his father’s advice. He will be participating in a candidates’ forum sponsored by a group of women educators on Oct. 16.

Dear Fellow Concerned American,
With less than a month until Election Day, we find ourselves frighteningly close to a second term for Barack Obama. An unaccountable Obama will most assuredly hammer the final nails in the American coffin he has been constructing the past four years.
As a patriotic American, you are not alone if you find yourself thinking “What can I do?” We know right-minded Republicans will cast their vote for Romney, but there are so many — too many — of our American brothers and sisters who for one reason or another remain undecided. Reaching out to and convincing undecided voters that another four years of Obama will yield disastrous results is the single most important thing “I can do.” We need to go beyond friends and family with information that will stop Obama in his tracks.
Thankfully, New York Times #1 bestselling author Dinesh D’Souza has produced the perfect tool for us to get in the hands of undecided voters at this critical time. In the box office surprise of the summer “2016,” D’Souza courageously bucks the liberal, Obama-praising talking points by pulling back the President’s Wizard of Oz curtain and revealing the man behind it — his ideology, his mentors, his colleagues, and most disturbingly, his pathological obsession with his father’s “dreams.”
Skyrocketing from initial engagements in just 100 theaters across the country to more than 1,000 theaters by September’s end, “2016″ was seen by droves of conservative viewers. Now, so close to the election, we MUST get this movie on the TV screens of undecided Americans. You can help us accomplish this by pledging to donate copies of “2016″ immediately upon its release on DVD.
Let “2016″ speak persuasively for you and all who understand and love this country’s audaciously brave and now threatened ideals.
Please donate as many DVDs as you can right away. Click here to learn more and to donate. We must take advantage of this opportunity NOW.
With all our appreciation,
Human Events
P.S. Not yet gotten a chance to see “2016″ for yourself? Click here to learn more and watch the trailer for this compelling and provocative expose.

I concur about Martha Raddatz. Biden did a good job.
Kellie, I agree about bullying, and Rene, I’m happy for you.
Norma, right on!

on a somber note, I’m thinking about Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani girl who was shot down on her school bus, targeted actually, by the Taliban because she tried to champion rights for education. What kind of men are these that resort to shooting little girls? How desperate they must be. It’s indescribably sad. She’s in my thoughts and prayers today. I hope she makes a recovery and her and her family stay safe.
Have a good weekend, all.

Social Butterfly, thanks for mentioning Malala. Muslim men are the most evil when using god to excuse their personal hatred of women.

S/B:
I see that the right-wing thugs in Washington through the right-wing news media are milking this story for everything It’s worth. Now they found yet another excuse to keep us in Pakistan and the American public is falling for it, sadly enough. This is quite repulsive indeed!

She is hero and Taliban are coward.

Bidens performance gave Obama a minor bump but it gave Ryan major bumps, bruises, lacerations and contusions, and as many survivors of long ordeals, he also suffered from extreme dehydration and an almost unquenchable thirst… lol
October 13th, 2012 at 9:55 am
Memo to Obama: Mr. President, it’s time to take the gloves off and surgically eviscerate the lies and deceptions of the opposing party… take no prisoners … you are fighting for “all” Americans and for the future of our country.
October 13th, 2012 at 9:57 am
OK. Not ALL Muslims are crazy, thankfully. It is the few that poison the whole apple barrel. Shooting children is insane: totally, F*****g insane! I feel for her and her school mate who was also shot.
However, what will resonate in the rest of this school for girls? They, too, will become victims of some radical pig one day? How can they return to school and “feel” safe again. What a bunch of sorrowful crap this is!
October 13th, 2012 at 9:58 am
I could go over to Afghanistan and say that I was killing Afghanis on the orders of the American government, but that wouldn’t make that true.
I think that mostly, this is a small cadre of whackjobs in the Taliban who are doing things like this and the Taliban leadership start banging their heads on the desks every time something like this happens, saying “You imbecile! This will turn a good portion of our supporters against us! Why did you do this horrible thing!?”
It could also be (and this is bluntly damned possible) that the “Taliban” person who did this was actually a CIA or other government stooge.
Read the history books. The CIA has done some damned bad things in the name of this country over the past 80 years.

It’s a shame that JB had to show O how it’s done! Just goes to show you who has a bigger set! I still won’t vote for them!
ROMNEY/RYAN 2012
October 13th, 2012 at 10:05 am
I still cannot get anybody to answer my question:
Why are these poor, white people who are on government assistance voting for Myth Romney?
Where are you? I know that you are out there! Step up and let your voices be heard!
It is a shame my race wants to pretend that all the welfare is going to the OTWs. Like all the rest of the entitlements in this country, we get the lion’s share.
Can racism be so bad that the poor of my race will vote against their own best interest to facilitate the myth that whites don’t accept welfare?
Or is it as so many OTWs have suggested. Racism is a powerful narcotic to us whites?

The truth is that most muslim men are beasts. They are only concern with their welfare. They treat women as sheep to be used sexually and forced to slave for their personal needs.
I say Michelle, Send Madaline to kill them all, or let them kill each other in their senseless wars.
October 13th, 2012 at 10:09 am
Judith, Do you know that Myth Romney has lied over 1000 times on national TV?
OOPS! I forgot! The GOP is in denial again…
October 13th, 2012 at 10:10 am
Roy, Correction: Robme/Ryan, not Romney/Ryan
October 13th, 2012 at 10:13 am
Kitty, I have asked the same question, and I know “poor” white people who will vote for Romney. I have worked with several of them..
Some of the answers I got, that it is just not in the american culture to provide help ( these people are on SS and medicare). Others simply have no clue and listen to Fox and Rush.. So frustrating.
They know they are voting race but they refuse to acknowledge it. They grasp at any excuse to march down to the polls and return a white man to the White House.
Sometimes I think they are ignorant enough to believe that what the name of the President’s home means a place for whites only.
Sad

Ruth, this is how they think. They think mitt cares about them, and in their mind they feel that they are on the same level playing field because they think they are part of the power elite.
They do not understand that mitt has nothing to do with trailer folks. To him they are just trailer trash.

Joe Biden gave an immature, disrespectful and weak-on-the-facts performance at the debate. The vicious arrogance that has become the mantle of the liberal base these last many years has shown itself to be a real danger.
There is nothing to admire or follow in man who behaved as Joe Biden behaved, whereas Ryan was controlled, intelligent and arguing completely in line with a political strategy that will protect and reinvigorate the American Dream.

You liberals are running scared, your kunta kinte, the welfarecrat is loosing electorates!!!!!!!!!

Biden Loses It – Ben Shapiro
This evening, vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) took on Vice President Joe Biden in a wide-ranging debate covering everything from Libya and Iran to the economy.
Biden’s demeanor was the story of the evening: smirking, laughing, snorting, shaking his head. The strategy seems to have been to laugh off America’s problems, since the Obama administration has done nothing to solve them.
The debate itself was secondary to the demeanor of Biden. Biden had nothing to run on, so he decided to distract. And those pearly whites were a bizarre distraction from what could have been a substantive debate.
Biden interrupted Ryan repeatedly. He would not allow Ryan to finish an answer; where he stopped interrupting for even a few moments, his moderator ally, Martha Raddatz, jumped in to help him cut Ryan short.
This was the big problem for Biden going in: the American people didn’t like him. His favorables were far lower than Ryan’s. This debate did him no favors. And if the vice presidential debate was any indicator of the new, aggressive strategy of the Obama/Biden ticket, it will be off-putting to Americans in a dramatic way. It appears blustery and unlikeable – and most of all, dramatically angry and unserious.

I was waiting for that one Harold. VP Biden did exactly what he had to do and that was to prove what a LSOS Ryan really is.
Game Set Match:
P.S. If Ryany can’t handle Joe then he should get out of the race. People forget that Ryan was way to the right of the republican platform and they had to rein him in. He is still too extreme.

LMAO!!! YOU GAVE A BREITBART LINK? LMAO!!!! I HAVE TO TYPE IN CAPS ON THIS ONE… A LINK CREATED BY THE SAME GUY THAT BROUGHT US THE HEAVILY EDITED SHIRLEY SHERROD TAPE THAT WAS ON HEAVY ROTATION AT FOX?

The Obama Administration tries to portray the Taliban as greatly composed of moderate, reasonable men, opposed to violence, but that is simply not true, as your article sadly points out.
There is a great deal of evidence coming out from the intelligence community in the US and reported in the media is the UK, that the Taliban is as strong as ever and is closely linked to al qaeda and other terrorist groups.
I don’t know if military action in Afghanistan is the answer or whether the US should just get out and tighten security within the US and for US interests abroad, or whether more intensive military action is needed. A significant problem is Pakistan… I don’t know.
Glad I don’t have to make that decision, but the Obama Admin. should tell the truth, not half-truths and lies. Time to be honest about the Taliban and terorism.
October 13th, 2012 at 10:26 am
I am not for any of the wars we’ve gotten into in the middle east. However, once you go to war take the gloves off and kill all of these Taliban, Al-queda or whatever they are called. To do less is to dishonor the American men and women fighting these wars.
Track em’ down, drone em’, cruise missle em’ hit em’ where-ever they are and when ever we can. Screw the love taps, let’s get rid of them in a manner that will stop others from following in their path. If their support mechanisms also suffer, tuff ca-ca.
October 13th, 2012 at 10:27 am
Mariell, you are just another LSOS right wing nut. Obama never said anything of the kind. Your statement is just typical republican propaganda in hopes it will eco aroound the interenet and some how become true.
Anyone can research the taliban, watch a documentry, or a few agonizingly true movies on netflix to know what scum bags the taliban is.
October 13th, 2012 at 10:29 am
This is pretty tame for the Taliban. I mean she is still alive after all. They are known for worse when a women is suspected or just accussed of adultery.
They would bury the women to her waste, tie her hands, and have her relitives her own children, and neighbors throw stones at her until she is dead. So this story is nothing new. Anyhow not even I could be ignorant enough to hope for a happy ending on this one.
October 13th, 2012 at 10:30 am
I sincerely hope no one on this blog is suggesting that the US presence in the Middle East is causing these sick idiots to do something like this to a child. If you really believe this, please feel free to join them in HADES!! There is room.
