I’m Happy Giving Thanks

Good morning!
Well…as you probably know I am blogging late this morning. I took the morning off and dilly-dallied around. Although I didn’t find it to be waste of time, but more of a lazy luxury that I rarely do. In a few minutes, I am going to take a long walk and enjoy this glorious day. And then, I am into the kitchen to make my most delicious mashed potatoes infused with Rosemary milk – my contribution to the Thanksgiving meal.
I am grateful for many things this morning….family, friends, love, time…and so much more. Thanksgiving means different things to different people, depending upon how you were brought up, or the experiences you shared or endured. However you view this day, I HOPE that it brings you peace & joy today.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Lots of love, kisses and gratitude to all of you.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

It is a well-known fact that our society is structured like a pyramid. The very few people at the top create conditions for the majority below. Who are these people? Can we blame them for the problems our society faces today?
Guided by the saying “A fish rots from the head.” we set out to follow that fishy odor. What we found out is that people at the top are more likely to be psychopaths than the rest of us.
Who, or what, is a psychopath? Unlike Hollywood’s stereotypical image, they are not always blood-thirsty monsters from slasher movies. Actually, that nice lady who chatted you up on the subway this morning could be one. So could your elementary school teacher, your grinning boss, or even your loving boyfriend.
The medical definition is simple: A psychopath is a person who lacks empathy and conscience, the quality which guides us when we choose between good and evil, moral or not.
Most of us are conditioned to do good things. Psychopaths are not. Their impact on society is staggering, yet altogether psychopaths barely make up one percent of the population.
Broken into three parts, our search for the fishead starts in New York City, on Wall.

New Way to Get a Ride Fast
Long line for a cab at the airport? Cabs hard to catch on a rainy day? New car-on-demand services allow passengers to use their smartphones to order chauffer-driven Town Cars and comparable vehicles on short notice—in many cases, within just a few minutes.
Among the smartphone car-on-demand services…
GroundLink is a network of independent black-car services in 400 cities worldwide. It usually can provide a car within an hour in those cities—within minutes in New York City. 877-227-7260, http://www.GroundLink.com.
Rate examples:
Expect to pay perhaps $60 to $100 for a ride from an airport to downtown or vice versa in most markets, but Groundlink can be somewhat pricey for short rides within a city. “Ride now” rates in New York City start with a $10 base fare plus $4.60 per mile, with a minimum charge of $22.
Uber, which is owned in part by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, serves fewer markets than GroundLink, but it often can provide a Town Car within minutes in such cities as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Washington, DC. Rates vary according to city, and a free app is needed. http://www.Uber.com
Rate example:
In New York City, Uber’s base fare is $7, plus $3.90 per mile or 95 cents per minute for speeds below 11 miles per hour.
Taxi Magic allows passengers to use a free app on their smartphones to call for ordinary taxis. More than 85 cab companies in 45 large and mid-sized cities across the US currently participate. http://www.TaxiMagic.com

A Time to Give Thanks
On Thanksgiving, we come together to offer our gratitude for the blessings in our lives, for our families, friends, and loved ones, for the strength of our community, our city, and our country.
I was honored to give remarks at the 15th Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday. While we may be divided by lines of religion and the walls of our houses of worship; we are united by the pursuit of justice and a devotion to peace, by our willingness to lift up the needy and help the less fortunate.
On this day of giving thanks, let us set aside our disagreements and seek out areas of common purpose, whether in charting a course of justice for immigrants or ministering to the poor, educating our children or curing disease. Let us recall the words of our patron saint, St. Francis – “For it is in giving that we receive” – and continue to give of ourselves on behalf of others, in the name of the greater good. May we all be blessed with a season of peace, with lives of joy, with the ability and the strength to sustain our faith and practice our values.
As many of us gather around our tables this week surrounded by family and friends, the U.S. Department of Agriculture provides several resources to ensure that you and your loved ones have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Please visit their website or http://www.foodsafety.gov to learn how to prepare a meal that is both delicious and healthy.
Please feel free to forward this information to your family and friends. To learn more about these efforts, to express your views, or to sign up for email updates, please visit my website. I am also on Twitter at http://twitter.com/NancyPelosi.

I hear so there is new news out about Obama’s last days. I could care less.
It was a gutsy move on Obama’s part to go after OBL,If he had not been there,The Republicans would have had a field day and Obama’s Presidency would have been in trouble big time.
I could care less what they did with OBL’s body.It took a lot of guts for Navy Seals,They are true heroes.

Just got back from Target, and it was packed with shoppers and team members. A lot of happy faces. I am sure most of the Target employees are happy to work, and the guests are happy to shop there on Thanksgiving night.
