Roadside Body Cavity Search: Angel And Ashley Dobbs Sue Texas State Troopers For Body Search (VIDEO)

A Texas woman and her niece are suing a pair of Texas state troopers and the director of the Texas Department of Public Safety for what they claim was an unconstitutional and “humiliating” roadside body cavity search earlier this year.

Scroll down for footage

According to NBC News, 38-year-old Angel Dobbs and 24-year-old Ashley Dobbsfrom Irving, Tex., were driving along Highway 161 on July 13, when they were stopped for allegedly littering by State Trooper David Farrell.

“In the dashcam video released by the women and their attorney, Farrell can be heard telling the women they would both be cited for littering for throwing cigarette butts out of the car,” the news agency reports.

After stopping the women, Farrell — who claims to have “smelled marijuana” in their vehicle — reportedly questioned the women about the drug and searched their car for traces of pot.

The Dobbs’ lawsuit filed on Monday, according to the Dallas Morning News, claims that the state trooper had tried to “morph this situation into a DWI investigation.” The older woman, however, is said to have passed a roadside sobriety test and Farrell did not find any marijuana in the car.

The trooper then returned to his vehicle and called female state trooper Kelley Helleson to the scene. He said he wanted Helleson to search the women because they were “acting weird,” according to the dashcam recording.

Angel and Ashley claim that they were then subjected to a very public and “humiliating” roadside body cavity search. They both claim that they were not warned beforehand that the “intrusive” search was about to take place.

KVUE writes:

The lawsuit alleges that Helleson used her fingers to search inside each woman’s genital areas. The suit also says that the trooper did not change the glove she was wearing and performed the search without consent.

The body cavity search is also said to have taken place “on the side of a public freeway illuminated by lights from the police vehicle in full view of the passing public,” the women alleged, according to KVUE.

“I was molested, I was violated, I was humiliated in front of other traffic,” said Angel. “I had to watch my niece go through the same thing and I could not protect her at that point.”

Angel also alleges that while Helleson searched her anus, the state trooper “irritated one of the cysts she suffers from,” causing her “severe and continuing pain and discomfort.”

“I don’t think anybody needs to have to feel, or go through what we went through,” Ashley told NBC News. “It crosses my mind every day. It’s humiliating.”

Scott H. Palmer, the women’s attorney, said that the searches were “basically a sexual assault” on the side of a road, according to Dallas Morning News.

Other than Helleson and Farrell, the women are also suing Steven McCraw, director of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

McCraw is being sued, “for being aware of a long standing pattern of police misconduct involving unlawful strip searches, cavity searches and the like, yet [failing] to take corrective action,” KVUE reports.

“Following the traffic stop that occurred in July of this year and based on a citizen’s complaint, the Texas Rangers conducted an inquiry surrounding the events, and has since turned the results over to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office for review,” said DPS spokeswoman Katherine Cesinger to the Dallas Morning News.

On Wednesday, the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office said that the Dobbs’ case is being investigated and will go before a grand jury next month.

WARNING: Some viewers may find content in this video disturbing

******

Readers: I didn’t post the above video because it is no longer available to watch. Is the video too disturbing to watch so it is no longer available? Evidently it is not too disturbing to do this horrific act to these women, but too disturbing to show it. This sick act is not a single event –  This happens all the time to OTW women, and has continued to happen with nothing being done to prevent it….until now….when it happens to two white women. Now we’re talking something serious. Now we want “change.”

And the person doing the cavity check was a woman, State Trooper, Kelley Helleson - wha’at? Why did she go along with this? And this sick woman didn’t even change the glove – not when she went from vagina to anus, and not when she went from one woman to the other. Can you imagine?

A man like this isn’t going to give a fuck if he is spreading infections between the two women but you would think a woman would take better precautions, being a woman herself, knowing how dangerous it is. But no, this woman obviously didn’t care either – she did what she was asked, did it with no care of the health of these women, and hell she did it in full view of everyone and anyone driving by.

When are women going to stand up and say ‘No” to the demands of sick men? How can we expect men to change their sick behaviors toward women if women are doing similar sick behaviors to other women? If a woman will molest and violate another woman because she is asked, you can imagine what a man will feel free to do with no asking, no encouragement, just his own desire to do so? And we don’t have to imagine because it is being done everyday.

I’m done flappin’. Comments? Your turn – Blog me.

Used the same glove for both women? How absolutely disgusting that this even took place. Both officers should be fired, period.

  3. Tom Says:

Texas claims to be so patriotic and free, yet these gross civil rights violations always seem to come from TX. Doesn’t TX have a law forcing children to take a vaccine against STDS? Children!

    Texas is worse than China.

  4. Padu Says:

WELCOME to AMERIKA and the POLICE STATE! From the damn COPS to the TSA….WHEN are AMERICANS going to STAND UP and say ENOUGH!!!!!

This is AGAINST EVERYTHING we STAND for! If you don’t STAND for something, you will FALL for anything!

  5. Murphy Says:

Look like she used the same glove on both of them and even used the glove to A to V. That is just gross. I hope they get millions of dollars.

  6. Sharon Says:

Sounds like these troopers didn’t want the TSA to have all the fun. Totally sick.

  7. Alan Says:

I am physically ill from that, those cops should serve time, that is beyond any defense!

  8. Thedore Says:

I, too, hope the plaintiffs win this case. The cops totally had/have the “god complex” and think they can get away with anything.

They had no right to search in the manner they did. They didn’t even have the right to search the car. Who cares if the deputy’s sense of smell is faulty. Totally unconstitutional

  9. Patricia Says:

Those Cops are thugs with badges, no better than criminals. If a cop tried that with me, I would stick a knife in his/her eye.

  10. Adnan Says:

I got to see the movie “Zero Dark Thirty.” It is a piece of shit in the first 30 minutes.

It’s build on a lie and it leads the viewer to believe that torture gave information towards finding Osama. That is a lie.

The information that led to the knowledge about his courier came from a man that did reveal anything under torture.

So WHY the 30 minutes of torture? It sucked for me. I have been in data collection for this country and others for better than 40 years.

I have done every kind of tune up imaginable to a human body. I have researched agony with the kind or relish that anyone who loves his jobs does.

it’s what I do, and I love it. But I know that the most I am going to get after a certain point is whatever the tune-up thinks will stop the torture even if it is just for a few seconds.

As a professional, I know how to return to the subject with more interest than I left so most of my tune-ups know better after a time or two than to get me to stop just for that brief period of relief.

Still I know that torture will not reveal the kind of information that will ultimately be usual. I make a profession of it because others who employ me believe it its results or they want to use it as an excuse to torture.

  11. Engel Says:

What is this? Some sort of a cop snuff film? I wonder if they have a private collection they make of these vids to get off on.

  12. Aldofo Says:

Now that it is happening to white women, it is an issue. The fucking white boy has been doing that to our women for decades.

Good job on cutting out the middle man. Instead of getting felt up and violated by a criminal you can just go directly to the police.

  13. Russell Says:

What can we do about these sexual predators with badges?

  14. Anthony Says:

Millions of dollars..n tax payers money? And to imagine that those cops were looking for pot – the same thing “our exalted and wise leader, nobel peace prize winner and not once but 2 time man-of-the-year, kenyan” slick barry obama has been known to partake in

  15. Lori Says:

You know, the smart aZZ in me tells me to fake an or gasm on the side of the road when she went in the front and $#!t in her hand when she went in the back….

I’ll bet they have an agreement. Anytime he pulls over a female, he calls this d y k e in to do her little “search”….I can not see how throwing a cigarette out the window is susupicious behavior. And it’s not a dry season, get real.

I hope they both get fired. Fox 4 News said (I didn’t read this whole article) that the woman was suspended WITH pay …that’s outrageous.

  16. Carlos Says:

The police are not your friends, they are not your protectors, they are not your defenders. The police are there to enforce the will of The State. The ones that believe in championing the safety of the common citizen are few and far between or new and naive.

  17. Zoe Says:

White women willing to humiliate women for men. Dang these cops are beyond stupid. I refuse to believe they teach you that in the academy.

And for this female cop to come in and do it like it’s no big deal means they do this all the time. I hope these women break this department. What imbecils these cops are. Seriously, how ******* stupid can two people be?

  18. Josh Says:

Police officers are not your friends and they are not interested in justice. The false sense of authority turns them into sadistic psychopaths.

Many studies proving that and the vid above is more proof positive. Riddle me this, how can a person be both a “public servant” and an “authority” at the same time? They have no authority, period. It’s time to remind them.

  19. Social Butterfly Says:

There are no words …. What kind of a society are we??

    /SB

  20. Vlo9 Says:

Those of you who have become infatuated with your food, will rue the moment.

  21. Health Info Says:

Are You Taking the Right Blood Pressure Medication?

Millions of Americans aren’t…leaving them at increased risk for stroke and heart attack.

If you’re one of the roughly 75 million Americans with high blood pressure (hypertension), you might like to believe that lifestyle changes, such as losing weight, exercising and cutting back on salt, can control it. In some cases, it can. But like it or not, most people who have hypertension end up on medication.

The problem is that more than one-third of patients on medication still have elevated blood pressure readings. In many instances, they are not on medication or a dosage that is right for them. Millions also are suffering from avoidable side effects.

There are more than 60 drugs for hypertension—too many for most physicians (even specialists) to know about in detail. What’s more, your drug treatment needs to be targeted to match the cause of your hypertension.

    WHAT’S YOUR HYPERTENSION?
Of the millions of Americans with inadequately controlled hypertension, nearly all could have blood pressure in the normal range simply by adjusting their medication.

What most patients don’t realize is that hypertension is driven by different mechanisms that respond to different treatments.

The three mechanisms underlying hypertension in most cases—and the best treatments for each…

#1: Hypertension driven by sodium/volume. This is the most common form of high blood pressure, affecting at least half of hypertensive patients.

The kidneys do not excrete sodium efficiently and, as a result, the body starts to accumulate sodium and fluid.
This increase in fluid volume raises blood pressure.

In addition, elevated sodium can trigger arterial constriction in some patients, which further raises blood pressure.

Telltale signs: Fluid retention in the legs (edema) and low levels of the hormone renin (as measured with a widely available blood test).

African-Americans, people over age 65 and those who are “salt-sensitive” are more likely to have sodium/volume hypertension.

Main treatment: A diuretic (water pill) that increases sodium excretion or a calcium-channel blocker, such as amlodipine (Norvasc), that dilates arteries.

#2: Hypertension driven by the renin-angiotensin system (RAS). The kidneys have sensors that monitor blood pressure and blood volume. When either is low, the kidneys secrete the hormone renin, which triggers the formation of angiotensin II, constricting arteries and raising blood pressure.

Telltale signs: High renin levels in the blood, the absence of edema and lack of response to diuretics prescribed to reduce blood pressure. It’s more common in Caucasians under age 50.

Four classes of drugs that block RAS activation…
Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, such as enalapril (Vasotec) and captopril (Capoten) .

Angiotensin-receptor blockers (ARBs), such as losartan (Cozaar) and valsartan (Diovan) .

Direct renin inhibitor (DRI). Aliskiren (Tekturna)—the only drug within this new class.

Beta-blockers, an older drug class, which includes metoprolol (Toprol). In most patients with RAS-mediated hypertension, ACE inhibitors and ARBs are preferred over beta-blockers—outcomes are better, and they cause fewer side effects, such as fatigue.

Approximately 80% of hypertension patients will respond to drugs that target sodium/volume or the RAS, or to a combination of drugs that targets both.

#3: Hypertension driven by the sympathetic nervous system (SNS). The SNS is responsible for hypertension in about 15% of cases and frequently is overlooked by physicians.

Stimulation of the SNS, which is the primary link between our brain and our blood pressure, results in adrenaline-induced increases in heart rate and cardiac output (the amount of blood pumped by the heart) and arterial constriction.

Emotions stimulate the SNS and may be the source of SNS hypertension.

Effective drugs include beta-blockers, which slow down the heart, often in combination with an alpha-blocker, such as doxazosin (Cardura), which dilates arteries.

Drugs like clonidine (Catapres), a central alpha-receptor stimulator, reduce SNS outflow from the brain but cause fatigue in most patients.

Telltale signs: Conditions such as alcohol abuse and sleep apnea can trigger SNS-driven hypertension. Other indicators are episodic hypertension and hypertension that is not controlled by drugs that target sodium/volume and the RAS.

    PRESCRIPTION PITFALLS
There are many effective drugs on the market, but unless they are correctly prescribed, hypertension won’t be controlled and avoidable side effects may occur. Common errors you should watch out for…

Widespread overtreatment. Millions of Americans are on more medication than they need, including many people who might not need any at all.

The most common reasons doctors overprescribe: Anxiety that raises blood pressure when visiting the doctor, incorrect measurement of blood pressure at the doctor’s office and/or at home, and the addition of medication in patients with well-controlled hypertension who have an occasional elevated reading.

Not enough diuretics. In many people, a low dose of a diuretic, such as 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide, is sufficient—a higher dose is not needed and even can be harmful.

But in some, a higher dose or a combination of two diuretics is essential. Studies show that in half of people with uncontrolled hypertension, blood pressure can be brought under control by strengthening the diuretic regimen.

Underuse of some highly effective older drugs. New drugs are promoted, while some older drugs are nearly forgotten.

Older diuretics such as amiloride (Midamor) and torsemide (Demadex), and beta-blockers such as betaxolol (Kerlone) and bisoprolol (Zebeta) are examples of excellent older drugs that are not commonly prescribed but should be.

Overuse of beta-blockers. Beta-blockers can cause fatigue and, in older patients, can affect cognitive function.

Modifying or eliminating use of the beta-blocker can improve cognitive function in some patients and should not be overlooked as a consideration in the evaluation of cognitive decline.

Many patients taking a beta-blocker for hypertension don’t need to be on one!

Lack of appreciation for emotional factors. Decades of studies have failed to prove that such factors as stress, anger and anxiety lead to hypertension.

However, some studies suggest that repressed emotions, the emotions we are unaware of, might contribute. If your hypertension is driven by emotional factors, you will respond better to drugs that target the SNS.

Summing up, nearly all patients with hypertension can be treated successfully with available drugs. The goal is a normal blood pressure without drug side effects. You should not settle for less.

Should you see a hypertension specialist? If your hypertension is under control with one or two drugs, and you have no side effects, you don’t need to see a specialist.

Otherwise, consider seeking the opinion of a physician specializing in hypertension. To find one, go to http://www.ASH-US.org, the Web site of the American Society of Hypertension (under “Patients,” click on “HTN Specialists Directory”).

Source: Samuel J. Mann, MD, professor of clinical medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and a hypertension specialist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, both in New York City.

Dr. Mann has written more than 50 scientific articles and book chapters about hypertension.

  22. Helen Says:

Will someone please tell us, why does someone need an assault weapon ? Does that make you feel more manly than say, a pistol ?

  23. Nate Says:

Will someone please tell me why the nig won Times’s Person of the Year 2012?

Congratulations President Obama, but I have to know, what did you actually do? Your “more perfect union” is split worse now than it was 4 years ago. I read about some of the other candidates that you beat, like a kid in Afghanistan who was defending women’s rights (which is punishable with death in that area), and so many other people that have instituted real change and aren’t just a symbol of the change.

This is almost as bad as when you won the Nobel Prize, what did you do to earn that other than being the first black President in America?

  24. Ken Says:

Helen, Be glad to tell you.. They are needed when civilization breaks down say like a national disaster.. After 2 or 3 days without food or water people will form mobs and start looting resources..

Now, I’ve prepared my family with animals, water, food and medical supplies.. It may become necessary to defend my family and property from these looting mobs. Thus, requiring something more than a pistol.

I don’t care, if you didn’t prepare but, if you come at my property you will shot dead..

  25. Patricia Says:

Can you display yourself as a loon without embarrassment?

Can you lie through your teeth without a change of expression?

Can you blame all of the problems in the USA on liberals with false conviction without qualm?

Can you turn a deaf ear, without effort, to any discussion of issues that do not follow the GOPTP line?

Can you support any special interest group’s position as long as that group provides you campaign funding?

I envision the above application questions requiring answers in the affirmative before any Republican politician is allowed to run for office with the support of the GOPTP.

  26. Amie Says:

Ken, thinking that -splitting feeling- you have and are so glad to point out is because of guys like Boehner and McConnell…. THAT is the problem..

President Obama was given a “mess to clean up” when he took office… took a few years… and everything is going/doing better then the guys that were in the oval office prior to him….

He has overcome constant situations where he has PROVEN his LEADERSHIP !!! I get it that you sre still upset with the latest presidental results…….

But if you were dealing with a group of people who said that their only goal was to oppose you, how would you go about working with them.

I have parents, relatives, and many friends and associates that refuse to work with blacks. The only think worse are whites who pretend that isn’t an obstacle or worse that we white aren’t that bad.

Yet, if they feel the slightest imposition as in a possible violation of my 2nd Amendment right to buy an assault rifle to add to the length of my inadequate penis size, we have to deal with it immediately.

Robert,Rt, has often said it eloquently Racism, bigotry is alive and well in the USA.

I love my husband, but that doesn’t blind me to his insensitivity to the racism that Obama has to face every day of his Presidency.

    Amie

  27. Gabija Says:

Your President deserves the honor because of all of the obstruction, lies, tricks, traps, cheating, distortions and distractionc that have come before and against him.

His course was pre-planned before he even took office and an uphill fight has taken place ever since. Yet, he has pursued his goals for the country in a dignified intellectual, positive manner. congrats, Mr. President.

I meet so many of you who come to Lithunania and brag about your country while denigrating your blacks and latinos.

I smile and think, how pathetic. I see now why it took a black man to restore the USA to is former status as a world leader.

  28. Ruth Says:

As I see it, Congratulations to Time magazine for choosing the right person for the title. Despite lies, and a gazillion dollars of propaganda, our president won re-election. The American people aren’t so dumb after all.

  29. John Says:

What the hell are they thinking? Victoria Soto lays down her life for children in Conn. saving those children’s lives, and this guy wins PERSON OF THE YEAR?

Once again we cheapen the awards that are supposed to recognize and credit a person for the good, heroic, and truly noteworthy things he or she did in their lives.

I will never look a the Nobel Peace Prize the same way after this Joke won it. He isn’t fit to tie the shoes of Mother Theresa, and Ghandi. This is tryly disgusting. Just more fluff, not even worth the paper it’s printed on.
