Flap Your Lips Friday
Posted by Michelle Moquin on March 8th, 2013
Good morning!
I have spent the morning catching up on the last few days of comments. Quite a variety of topics as usual. And because I am catching up I am running so late in posting. I know excuses…excuses. Thankfully I have no one on my tail telling me I need to post at a certain time…just lil ‘ol me. :)
Anyway, the Voting Rights Act is still up in the air. This is the latest that I am aware of that I wanted to post – from the Huff Po:
NBC’s Pete Williams: ‘Safe To Say’ Section 5 Of Voting Rights Act Will Be Struck Down (VIDEO)
Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
NBC’s Pete Williams sounded the death knell for parts of the Voting Rights Act on Wednesday, telling MSNBC’s Alex Wagner that he thinks there are easily enough votes on the Supreme Court to overturn them.
The court’s conservative justices asked what the New York Times called ”deeply skeptical questions” about Section 5 of the landmark civil rights act, which has been in place since 1965. The section requires nine states in the South to get permission from the federal government before they change their voting systems. Justice Antonin Scalia dismissed the law as a “perpetuation of racial entitlement.”
In his comments, Williams echoed the rapidly hardening consensus about the fate of Section 5 — and he also said that the justices could overturn Section 4, which he said sets the formula that determines which areas need government review.
“I think it’s pretty safe to say that there are at least five votes to strike down either one or both parts of the Voting Rights Act,” he said.

Readers: Not good news. I am sure you have more to say so I will end it here and open the blog…oh but I must make one little comment before I say goodbye…
Alycedale: A reader made a comment awhile ago that you hadn’t met your match. I believe you have met your match in Marty. Meaning his comment reminded me of you…a male you. A compliment to you, Marty.
And let the flapping begin…
Peace out.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

There are sections of the CIA and other government agencies that are not obeying the orders of the President of this country. Their allegiance is to the super rich and demigods of the Right who give them their marching orders.
They have been using a particular research technique which involves delivering various forms of cancer to others in a undetectable way.
I have learned that Robert, RT has been targeted. I hope you are taking the proper precautions. I am.
I’ve read “Dr. Mary’s Monkey” and “The Virus and the Vaccine” by Bookchin and Schumacher and they both reference the National Institute of Health’s research into utilizing cancer as a biological agent for assasinations.
The Nation had an article about it back in 1982 based on CIA documents acquired under the FOIA. If you watch Oliver Stone’s JFK there is a scene at Ferrie’s apartment where the camera pans across the living room there are numerous cages with mice in them.
Either that was an odd coincidence or Oliver Stone knew that Ferrie was working on the cancer project (which he was.)
The Houston Chronicle had an editorial today calling Chavez paranoid regarding the cancer remark. I think he knew who his assassins were.
After all, the Bush Administration did support the two day coup against Chavez and recognized the coup as the new “official” government the next day before Chavez was returned to office the following day.
And, as Chavez said, the odds wouldn’t support the cancer epidemic afflicting only the progressive leaders in Latin America.
The rogue branches that employ the techniques for their masters call it solving “deletion” problems.

Are Your Vitamins Bad?
Q. I often buy vitamins at a warehouse club. Does where I get them really matter?
A. The best place to buy vitamins is in a natural-foods store or other place that focuses on dietary supplements. Their products, unlike those at chain pharmacies, are most likely to contain the most potent forms—and no artificial colors or preservatives. What to look for…
Vitamin E:
The gamma tocopherol form is natural and more potent than dl-alpha tocopherol, the synthetic form.
Vitamin C:
The best forms come from rose hips, tapioca or other natural sources. In addition to ascorbic acid, they contain powerful bioflavonoids.
Vitamin B:
Supplements should contain equal amounts of B-1 (thiamine), B-2 (riboflavin) and B-6 (pyridoxine). The best ones are made from rice, yeast or other natural products.
Also important…
If possible, buy vitamins in dark-colored or opaque containers. They will last longer.
Don’t purchase more than a two-month supply at a time. And make sure that products are not past their expiration dates.
Keep vitamins away from moisture. When you open the container, remove any cotton balls, which absorb moisture and can cause vitamins to disintegrate. Don’t store vitamins in the bathroom or refrigerator unless the label tells you to.

Guam AG Warns Residents Scam Artists Gleaning Phone Numbers Off the Internet
Last Updated on Thursday, 07 March 2013 10:13
Guam – Scam artists are attempting to strike on Guam again, this time using gleaned phone listings- phone listings that are bought or stolen off the internet- to call residents at their homes at all hours of the day and night.
A local resident contacted the Office of the Attorney General’s Consumer Claims Unit last week stating that a male individual would constantly call her residence and offer her a large sum of money via Western Union wire transfer to help care for refugees of Libya “who are coming to Guam live and get educated. The phone number that registered on the consumer’s caller I.D. is: 233-249-567-7272.
“The OAG is unaware of refugees from Libya coming to Guam to live and get an education; there have been no news reports to indicate this is true,” said Bernie Alvarez, Consumer Claims Unit Advocate.
“This scam is not new to our island; we have all either received or heard about emails very similar in nature that have come out of Africa. The only difference is they have been able to obtain phone numbers,” she continued.
“Scam artists will call your home at all hours of the day and night; lower the ring volume so as to not disturb the activities of you and your family. If possible, block these numbers from calling.”
The OAG advises residents to ignore phone calls of this nature, especially if it is a long distance number you do not recognize.
“The important thing to remember is that if someone calls and you do not know them, hang up. By entertaining them, you are opening yourself up to a scam artist who is trained to keep the consumer on the line so they can scam you,” said Attorney General Leonardo M. Rapadas.
“If you immediately hang up, they will move on and not waste their time and effort on you. They are trying to steal your hard-earned money or your identity so they can they can steal your money and get personal information to scam someone else with,” he continued.
If you suspect a possible scam, or have been contacted by individuals from Ghana, Africa who offers you large sums of money, please report it to:
Bernie Alvarez, Consumer Advocate for the Office of the Attorney General at 475-3324 ext. 3340 or to email the information to: balvarez@guamag.org.

You do know that “God” didn’t actually sit down and write any of what you refer to as “holy” books….right.
They are revisionist tales from stories told verbally for generations. I remember a lesson from school, the teacher whispered a 3 line story to one person and that person whispered it to the next in line and so on until all 30 in class had heard the story.
After 30 people the story was nothing like the original 3 lines and had grown to nearly 30 lines. So NO God did not write any holy books, MAN did and he thinks the world revolves around him.

MikeTM, that’s scary news though thanks for bringing it to us. How’s Anonz doing, I’m thinking you know of him, hope he’s alive and well?
Misch, not good news, nothing shocks me anymore though.
#10 Sue, often people are in the left lane and going in slow mo’ and take it personally when someone (not tailgating) flashes the lights quickly (the polite ‘please move to the right’ signal) and they behave like you do, slowing down, obstructing a pass. That’s the problem with US drivers, tajke some lessons form our Euro pals, if you want to drive speed limit (or slower for whatever reason) stay to the RIGHT, if you are in the left lane, no offense but if I come up in your rearview quickly, don’t play dumb games, just move to the right and stay at the speed you like, I prefer fast : )
#19 David, if they team up SP & Jeb Bush, I’m ex-pat again, in fact, I’d like to do that again anyway…
Speaking of that, Larry, how’s it going out of country, hope you’re well.
Howie and Al, come back, no need to worry about welcome’s (or unwelcome’s) just be here, please?

Chavez: Another CIA Assassination Victim?
Dr. Kevin Barrett
March 07, 2013 “Information Clearing House” – The Venezuelan president himself, before he died, wondered aloud whether the US government – or the banksters who own it – gave him, and its other leading Latin American enemies, cancer.
A little over a year ago, Chavez went on Venezuelan national radio and said: “I don’t know but… it is very odd that we have seen Lugo affected by cancer, Dilma when she was a candidate, me, going into an election year, not long ago Lula and now Cristina… It is very hard to explain, even with the law of probabilities, what has been happening to some leaders in Latin America. It’s at the very least strange, very strange.”
Strange indeed… so strange that if you think Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Paraguayan Fernando Lugo, and former Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva – Latin America’s top anti-US empire leaders – all just happened to contract cancer around the same time by sheer chance, you must be some kind of crazy coincidence theorist.
Am I 100% certain that the CIA killed Hugo Chavez? Absolutely not.
It could have been non-governmental assassins working for the bankers.
But any way you slice it, the masters of the US empire are undoubtedly responsible for giving Chavez and other Latin American leaders cancer. How do we know that? Just examine the Empire’s track record.
Fidel Castro’s bodyguard, Fabian Escalante, estimates that the CIA attempted to kill the Cuban president an astonishing 638 times. The CIA’s methods included exploding cigars, biological warfare agents painted on Castro’s diving suit, deadly pills, toxic bacteria in coffee, an exploding speaker’s podium, snipers, poison-wielding female friends, and explosive underwater sea shells.
The CIA’s assassination attempts against Castro were like a Tom and Jerry cartoon, with the CIA as the murderously inept cat, and the Cuban president as a clever and very lucky mouse. Some might even argue that Castro’s survival, in the face of 638 assassination attempts by the world’s greatest power, is evidence that El Presidente’s communist atheism was incorrect, and that God, or at least a guardian angel, must have been watching over “Infidel Castro” all along.
Theology aside, the CIA’s endless attempts on Castro’s life provide ample evidence that US authorities will stop at nothing in their efforts to murder their Latin American enemies.
John Perkins, in his bestselling book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, supplies more evidence that the bankers that own the US government routinely murder heads of state, using private assassins as well as CIA killers.
Perkins, during his career as an “economic hit man,” gained first-hand knowledge about how the big international bankers maintain their empire in Latin America and elsewhere. Perkins’ job was to visit leaders of foreign countries and convince them to accept loans that could never be paid back. Why? The bankers want to force these nations into debt slavery. When the country goes bankrupt, the bankers seize the nation’s natural resources and establish complete control over its government and economy.
Perkins would meet with a targeted nation’s leader and say: “I have a fist-full of hundred dollar bills in one hand, and a bullet in the other. Which do you want?” If the leader accepted the loans, thereby enslaving his country, he got the payoff. If he angrily chased Perkins out of his office, the bankers would call in the “asteroids” to assassinate the uncooperative head of state.
The “asteroids” are the world’s most expensive and accomplished professional killers. They work on contract – sometimes to the CIA, sometimes to the bankers, and sometimes to wealthy private individuals. And though their specialty is causing plane crashes, they are capable of killing people, including heads of state, in any number of ways.
This isn’t just speculation. John Perkins actually knows some of these CIA-linked professional killers personally. And he has testified about their murders of Latin American leaders. Confessions of an Economic Hit Man is dedicated to Perkins’ murdered friends Gen. Torrijos of Panama and President Jaime Roldos of Ecuador. Both were killed by CIA-linked “asteroids” in engineered plane crashes.
Do CIA-linked killers sometimes induce cancer in their victims? Apparently they do. One notable victim: Jack Ruby (née Jack Rubenstein), a mobster who was himself a professional killer, and whose last hit was the choreographed murder of JFK-assassination patsy Lee Harvey Oswald in the basement of the Dallas Police Department. Ruby begged to be taken to Washington to tell the real story of the JFK murder, but instead died in prison, of a sudden and mysterious cancer, before he could reveal what he knew.
Have the CIA-bankster “asteroids” ever tried to kill Latin American leaders with cancer? The answer is an unequivocal “yes.”
Edward Haslam’s book Dr. Mary’s Monkey proves what JFK assassination prosecutor Jim Garrison had earlier alleged: Child-molesting CIA agent David Ferrie, one of President Kennedy’s killers, had experimented extensively with cancer-causing viruses for the CIA in his huge home laboratory. The purpose: To give Fidel Castro and other Latin American leaders cancer. (Ferrie himself was killed by the CIA shortly before he was scheduled to testify in court about his role in the JFK assassination.)
To summarize: We know that the bankers who own the US government routinely try to kill any Latin American leader who refuses to be their puppet. We know that they have mounted thousands of assassination attempts against Latin American leaders, including more than 600 against Castro alone. We know that they have been experimenting with cancer viruses, and killing people with cancer, since the 1960s.
So if you think Hugo Chavez died a natural death, I am afraid that you are terminally naïve.
Dr. Kevin Barrett, a Ph.D. Arabist-Islamologist, is one of America’s best-known critics of the War on Terror. Dr. Barrett has taught at colleges and universities in San Francisco, Paris, and Wisconsin, where he ran for Congress in 2008. His website is http://www.truthjihad.com .

Hafa adai, the Sequester has hit Guam; DoDEA Schools on Guam are included in a DoD plan to furlough 15-thousand military school teachers and staff around the world.
The Pentagon must find $46 billion in savings by the end of the fiscal year. And more cutbacks are planned. And the Navy Times reports officials are looking to furlough 15-thousand military school teachers and staff around the world, including on Guam.
This is in addition to the 800-thousand DoD civilian workers who will be furloughed for one day without pay each week for about 22 weeks.
A spokesman says the Department will manage the process so the schools don’t lose their accreditation.
The spokesman says because the length of the school day can’t legally be shortened, teachers and staff will likely have to take off one unpaid day a week off to meet the furlough requirements.
In addition, the Pentagon says the military will also close all of the commissaries on bases around the world for one extra day each week. They are currently open six days a week. They will include Wednesdays now.

Michelle, your prediction that Obama would win in a landslide has a lot of people upset.
While many are not sure you had a hand in it it has organizations like Gallup claiming foul because Gallup, whose polls leading up to Election Day had given the edge to Republican nominee Mitt Romney is facing a crisis.

One of the ways Hugo Chavez has been libeled is the charge that he stole a billion dollars (variously, two billion) from his country.
I think that I have traced this charge to The Daily Mail, a British sort of tabloid that also reports on flying saucer landings.
The Daily Mail sites its source as the CJIA (apparently a one man organization) the president of which is Jerry Brewer, a man located somewhere in the Washington, D.C. area (one source says Virginia).
Maybe this is enough for someone to futher analyze this ridiculous story that has taken on a life of its own on the internet where things grow faster than Virginia creeper.
March 8th, 2013 at 7:34 pm
Tony, You’re exactly right. If you google Chavez $2billion, or similar, you get nothing but posts from the right-wing blogoshpere repeating this same slanderous prevarication as if it’s gospel, usually unsourced.
And when they do name a source, it’s this fatuously-named “Criminal Justice International Associates LLC”, which is really a single individual named Jerry Brewer – an anti-castro, ex military, CIA wannabe, blogger.
Brewer presents himself as some sort of international security and private clandestine intelligence operative – but with nothing to back his claims. And this particular assertion, about Chavez’s $2 billion, came from a blog post on a now-defunct blog of his.
This is a typical tactic used by that great right-wing cabal that Hillary so accurately identified years ago – plant a fake story through one of their obscure minions of bloggers, then let it bounce around in the great vaccuum-filled echo chamber of their blogosphere, until it takes on a life of its own – and then, “poof!” – it becomes a fact that “everyone knows…”

Curious that Jack Ruby died in government custody, afflicted with cancer.
And they are exhuming Arafat to see if he has polonium poisoning?
I am not a conspiracy theorist, but still, sometimes coincidence can be persuasive.
