Did You Find Your ‘Jewel’ Today?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on December 5th, 2008
Ummm…I woke up this morning; it was early, totally dark. There is something about the early morning. It is not just the darkness that I love but the silence and the freshness, the newness…that the morning brings as dawn breaks into a new day. Any issue the day before is a distant past and a new day is born, possibly bringing new challenges. I guess that is why I love my sleep so much. When I wake up, it feels like a clean slate even if it isn’t. New days always give me hope.
A new day also brings a new person. I was tired last night but this morning I am re-energized; My body and mind are awake, alive, and aware.
I love this photo. Why? Because it gives us a different perspective than maybe what we’re used to seeing. I’m all about looking at things from a different view and seeing something that maybe I would not have seen had I not changed my perspective. Sometimes the beauty of something just needs to be seen from a different angle. And sometimes when we’re baffled about something in life, all we need to do is look at it from a different perspective and the answer jumps right out at us. Just as the shadows of the Zebra do.
This is the perfect image for me to discover this morning. This is my little jewel that has revealed itself.
Readers: Did you find your ‘jewel’ today? Or does this image speak to you too? I would love to hear your view. Blog me.
Hey, it’s Friday – have a good one!
Doug & Zen Lill: It’s been a little quiet on this blog, but I am so happy that both of you are still here. :)
Gratefully your blog host,

Have a wonderful day!

Hi Mischa, my caffeine wasn’t working this am, and I didn’t get it, hahaha, now I’m up, and what a fantastic birds’ eye view, the perspective artfully shot. It is brill.
You know it has been quiet here lately, but knowing the specialness of this space (your blog is weird and wonderful and quite unpredictable, I love that), I think this is just a ‘calm before a storm’ one day soon there’ll be 30+ comments and OTW’s will have words to say to us all, and you’ll be the coolest BABE ever and/or you’re a lesbian BS artist and of course, there’ll be women telling me they dig my rap/blog/how I handle men (not to mention the A-Z luvfest banter, which is currently MIA) and/or to go find cooking recipes and quit being myself (fat chance of that happening) or that I’m a cyborg (Ok, right, cool)…and no offense, but Doug doesn’t exist. hahaha…It’s all good, I’m patient, I can’t wait for the next major volley, hopefully Gleia, that joy of an alien will join in on the fun (or eat me! hahaha) : )as well as other TAO members…
In the meantime, yesterday was a dark day for me between your site’s rant and the economic news in general, but today I’m all bounced back, what a difference a day makes…
Should we be buying GOLD?!
Ciao, I am your slave, Zen Lill

Q: Are medication expiration dates important? Can I use a product beyond its date?
A: Manufacturers guarantee product potency only until the expiration date. The medicine may be good later — but you can’t be sure. Over-the-counter products in the original unopened manufacturers’ packages kept under optimal conditions may last two years or more. Most prescription medicine is dispensed by pharmacists in patient-specific packaging and probably won’t last as long.
Storage conditions also affect potency. Example: If you keep medicine in a so-called medicine chest — a bathroom cabinet — it will degrade more quickly than if you store it away from bathroom heat and humidity
