Birthers Are Back
As we discussed last week, things are heating up out there for the GOP in town halls and other events across the country. The GOP has spent years fanning the flames of irrational opposition to Obamacare and basically anything else related to President Obama. Unfortunately, this opposition has sometimes taken the form of offensive and/or outright racist conspiracy theories, particularly about the president’s birthplace.
After dying down somewhat in recent years, it looks like birthers and their supporters in Congress are staging something of a comeback.
Well-organized birthers with stacks of “evidence” showed up at two town halls attended by ThinkProgress last week in order to harangue their Members of Congress. What was truly shocking, however, was that both Members of Congress, Reps. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) and Blake Farenthold (R-TX), appeared to agree with the birthers.
Farenthold even went so far as to say the House of Representatives would vote “to impeach the president tomorrow” if given the opportunity, though he added the matter would go nowhere in the Democratically-controlled Senate and thus would probably be a strategic error. Watch the exchange HERE.
Farenthold joins a “handful of Republicans [who] have already announced their desire to impeach Obama for various reasons, including Reps. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Steve Stockman (R-TX), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Trey Radel (R-FL), Trent Franks (R-AZ), Tim Walberg (R-MI), Lamar Smith (R-TX), Michael Burgess (R-TX), Steve King (R-IA), and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).”
Birther king Donald Trump, who was headlining a conservative gathering in Iowa featuring several potential 2016 GOP presidential contenders, also reiterated his doubts about the president’s birth certificate.
Sadly, we are also seeing a resurgence of other offensive and racist attacks. Last week, protesters outside a presidential event in Arizona waved racist signs, including one referring to the president as “47 percent Negro.” Over the weekend, protesters in Florida along the route of the presidential motorcade waved signs calling for the president’s impeachment and another that read, “Kenyan Go Home!”
The Missouri State Fair also apologized for a racially-tinged incident in which “the organizers of the fair’s bull riding exhibit brought a clown in an Obama mask into the ring and goaded the bull into chasing him around the enclosure” while an announcer made anti-Obama jokes.
BOTTOM LINE: As the GOP pulls out all of the stops to prevent millions of Americans from receiving the security of quality, affordable health coverage for the first time, it’s unfortunate and offensive that some seem to believe the only way to stop Obamacare and the rest of the president’s agenda is to call into question the very legitimacy of the president himself.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

They’re still grasping at straws and all I can ask is: this is the best you got? The birther thing, really…you’ve got to be kidding and anyone who actually buys into AGAIN is in deep hypnosis, time to ‘wake up’ 1-2-3-4-5 eyes open, wide awake.
LaReina, you’re damn right it’s your country. DACA and Obama are here for you, so am I, it’s ridiculous that you have to watch your back in your own country.
Health Info #14, you’re partially right, water and staying hydrated is important, so is the alkaline balance in your body, adding lemon to tap or bottled water (test your bottled water, they’re mostly acidic) will take you just so far, purified water has NO minerals in it so it’s ‘eh’ for the purpose of hydrating, you must drink the right water at the best pH for balancing within the body (and the pH level in your belly is about 1.5-2 so it could use some alkalinizing esp since what we eat isin’t always what it should be) and add Celtic or Himalayan salt (aprox 1-2 teas a day, I grind it and carry it with me, take a pinch and down some water after) to your diet, for a free eBook on the topic, click through to http://www.changeyourwaterSAVEyourlife.net
As you all know I am a avid researcher of anything and everything having to do with mind/body/spirit (as well as fitness/exercise and sexual info bc we are also sexual beings and that has everything to do with M/B/S connection) and I have worked with many weight loss clients now as a holistic hypnotherapist, and hydration became a focus of research (and testing) about a year or so ago, (and I’ve posted much about it on my getyourlifebalanced.com blog as well), I didn’t mention it yet bc we are in first stages of our weight loss topic, though I’ll give you this one tidbit that’s in the ebook, – one glass of the right pH water provides the antioxidant value of 16 servings of green tea (without the caffeine) and basically tap water has chemicals designed to keep the facilities pipes clean not your pipes. Again, you have to snag responsibility for your own health, our bodies are made up of 70% water, want to be fit, healthy and lose weight…? Just read the ebook, it’s free, I’m not selling you anything, just providing information, that’s it. Anything else is your own call. Health info feel free to contact me, would love to consult on your article content, I’m no MD I’m actually better, I’m a health enthusiast so I have researched everything, and always will : )
I can recommend several books on the subject of water, your health and all that. Or just stick with me, it’ll all come out in convos here!
MM Babes, remember to throw in your extreme tummy crunches, and squeeze your $1000 bill between your bun cheeks, wish you all had 3 sets of stairs like I do, I get a workout every freaking day whether I want one or not, if you are so inclined, go find a set of stairs, at least 25-30 of them and go up and down 8-10 X’s, squeeze in buns, activate your quads and hamstrings and you will get strong legs fast : )

What can you expect from racists. It is just their way of saying only white men belong in the White House.

Stansberry and Associates is Right wing organization dedicated to bringing down the Left and especially Obama and anyone associated with him. That includes his wife. They have put out a slick hit piece called “WHY YOU SHOULD LOOK AT “LINE ITEM 12″ OF MICHELLE OBAMA’S TAX RETURNS.”
It is designed to make her and Obama look like they are taking money from private entities. There is no low too low for these guys. The company makes a ton of money getting people to send them money for investment opportunities. They use the usual scare tactics that the economy is going to collapse and you need to buy gold or whatever the precious or semiprecious metal is the biggest profit scam at the moment.
The fact that their followers are willing to believe anything negative they can make up about Obama makes it easy for them to open with a negative about Obama and then follow it up with a sales pitch.

Even a Little Exercise Helps Prevent Kidney Stones
Kidney stones, those hard deposits of minerals and acid salts, can cause excruciating pain as they pass through the urinary tract. These stones are no rare affliction—about one in 11 people will have a kidney stone at least once by age 70, and recurrences are common.
Your risk of developing a kidney stone is increased if you have diabetes, gout or Crohn’s disease. But even if you are perfectly healthy, normal activities like eating meat, salt or sugar…not drinking enough fluids…or taking a calcium supplement can lead to a kidney stone.
You can lower that risk, though, by taking a very simple step—just get a particular amount of exercise. It doesn’t have to be very much! In fact, according to a new study, a regular evening stroll or some light gardening may suffice.
GET MET
For the study, researchers looked at an average of eight years’ worth of data on more than 84,000 women enrolled in the Women’s Health Initiative. (Attention, men—there’s no reason to think this study won’t be valuable for you, too.)
None of the participants had a history of kidney stones when the study began. Periodically, participants completed questionnaires about their diets, physical activity and health—including whether they developed kidney stones, as 3% did.
In analyzing participants’ exercise habits, the researchers used a measurement called a metabolic equivalent for task (MET), which estimates the amount of energy expended in various activities.
The formula on which MET is based has to do with the amount of oxygen consumed per kilogram of body weight per minute, which sounds complicated—but the basic idea is that it allows you to express energy expenditure in a way that is comparable among people of differing body weights and fitness levels.
One MET hour is the energy expended in an hour when you are at rest. An hour of reading, writing or using a computer is worth 1.5 MET hours…slow-paced walking and light chores like kitchen cleanup count as 2.5…bowling, yoga and light gardening net about a 3.0…golfing, moderately brisk walking and doing household repairs all merit a 3.8…baseball, volleyball and horseback riding are all about 5.0…slow jogging gets a 6.0…tennis and basketball earn an 8.0…and an hour of really intense sports, such as rugby or martial arts, is equal to 10 MET hours.
Encouraging findings:
It turned out that you don’t need to be a hard-core athlete to lower your risk for kidney stones. After adjusting for other risk factors (age, diet, body mass index, etc.), the researchers discovered that, compared with sedentary participants, those who regularly engaged in a…
Small amount of physical activity, from 0.1 to 4.9 MET hours per week, were 14% less likely to develop kidney stones.
Moderately small amount of activity, from 5.0 to 9.9 MET hours per week, had a 22% reduction in risk.
Moderate amount of activity, from 10.0 to 19.9 MET hours per week, had a 31% reduction in risk. This does not require a big effort! It’s equal to about four hours of light gardening, three hours of walking at an average pace or two hours of slow jogging.
Interestingly, getting even more weekly exercise—20, 30 or more MET hours—did not provide any extra protection against kidney stones beyond that afforded by the moderate 10-to-19.9 MET level.
WHY A WORKOUT HELPS
There are several possible explanations for why physical activity might reduce kidney stone risk. People who exercise may drink more fluids, which dilutes urine and helps flush away tiny crystals in the kidneys before they can turn into stones. Working out also improves bone density, keeping more calcium in the bones instead of letting it lodge in the kidneys.
Also, people who exercise generally sweat more, so salt (a component of kidney stones) leaves the body via the sweat instead of becoming concentrated in the urine.
Exercising reduces cardiovascular risk factors (such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol), which also seem to have an impact on stone formation. And working out combats obesity, which itself is a significant risk factor for kidney stones, perhaps because it alters urinary pH and electrolytes.
This matters for men, too: Because this study focused only on women, more research is needed to determine how much exercise men need to do to lower their kidney stone risk. But exercise might actually benefit men even more, given that men are more than twice as likely as women to get kidney stones.
Let MET get you motivated to move: Click here to see how many METs your favorite physical activities account for and to get inspired to boost your weekly MET numbers. Your kidneys will thank you!

Hafa adai, we are still looking for all the people that witness or were affected by the foul odor that hit Agana Shopping Center.
The Guam Police Department is asking those who were hurt in the Agana Shopping Center incident that sent several people to the hospital to come forward.
The incident concerns a “foul odor incident” that sent three women to the hospital Tuesday night.
Those hurt from the incident should contact a local precinct to file a supplement report with the police department. The reports will be sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation

Michelle there is a phone scam going around were the scam artists pretend to be from the local jury system. They threaten people with prosecution for failing to comply with jury service in federal or state courts.
“In the calls, the threat of a fine for evading jury service is used to coerce those called into providing confidential data, potentially leading to identity theft and fraud.
Get this info out to anyone you know.

Some of my friends still try to convince me that Obama is not a citizen. They hint that they know something that if they revealed it they would be killed by the government. I give them a wide berth.
