Monday Madness

Good morning!

The republicans are at it again. Trying to carve out another gerrymandered district – this time they want to make it a state.

Here’s the write from Think Progress:

Northern California County Votes To Secede From California

BY IAN MILLHISER ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2013 AT 12:14 PM

jefferson davis

The Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 on Tuesday in favor of seceding from California to form a new state called “Jefferson.” Siskiyou also plans to invite nearby counties in California and southern Oregon to join with them in casting off the bonds that have tied them to their fellow Californians and Oregonians for generations.

Residents attending the supervisors meeting were virtually unanimous in supporting the predominantly Republican county’s secession. According to the Redding Record Searchlight, a local paper, one member of the board of supervisors raised a laundry list of complaints related to “regulation, restriction of rights, lack of representation, regionalism and restoration of limited government.” A staffer from Rep. Doug LaMalfa’s (R-CA) office attended the meeting and claimed that “she and other LaMalfa staff members supported the effort to secede, but she did not know LaMalfa’s thoughts on it.”

Siskiyou’s effort to form a new, presumably Republican state is not an isolated incident. Six Colorado counties plan to vote on a plan to secede from that state and form the new state of “North Colorado,” largely as part of an effort to avoid environmental regulation and gun safety laws. Should either of these secessionist efforts succeed, the new states would each receive two senators, despite the fact that these senators would represent virtually no one. Siskiyou County has about 45,000 residents, while nearly nearly 38 million people call the remainder of California their home. Yet, if Siskiyou formed its own state, those 45,000 people would receive exactly the same amount of representation in the Senate as the nearly 850 times as many people who live in the rest of California.

Such an outcome is unlikely, however, as the Constitution provides that “no new States shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.”

Readers: Repubs will try anything, lie, cheat, and steal, to get a lead in the game. Don’t ever underestimate the levels they will go to when power, greed and racism is the driving force.

On another note, Congress is back today. Let’s see if the repubs will do something besides continue to wage battles. Highly unlikely, but I can HOPE can’t I?

Zen Lill: It looks like it’s you and me babe. I thought the video was hilarious too. The lyrics were right on. And I’m with ya…Besides being tacky and classless, anyone who has to spell out that they have a big dick…well you said it. But then I wouldn’t expect anything more from a guy who would write such a song in the first place.

Happy Monday everyone! Blog me your thoughts.

Peace out.

Hi Misch, I guess so, but every time that gets acknowledged suddenly there’s a 100 comments : )

Hmm, tacky and classless is present in a lot of song lyrics these days…it’s a drag they come with a beat teens are dancing to, subliminally young girls are taking in this BS and I’m not digging it.

I’m all for owning your sexuality even as a young teen though one choice can direct the perception of you for a long time, and whore and man-whore just don’t carry the same weight, unfortunately, it’s still the double standard and weirder still that other girls want to throw you under the bus along with the boys who are making time with said ‘whore’ girls, I think there’s some confusion about the meaning of the bad girl and the good girl more than ever and the ones who aren’t drinking or chilling with boys assume their ‘asking for it’ and as this song suggests the boy perception is to ‘get nasty’ or ‘get lucky’ – who uses these terms to describe anything but a very casual sexual encounter? Leaving both sexes thinking that’s how it’s done now, both sexes suffer but girls get the harsh end of the stick and they’re too young to master their emotions on that level (and why should they have to, they’re barley out of puberty).

& it’s kudos for putting it out there (‘I’ve got a big dick’ = stud, though I doubt ‘I’ve got a sweet pussy’ would = liberated woman, bc boys/men everywhere would glom on to that and say disparaging BS bc their ego simply cannot handle it that a female may enjoy sex as they do). Don’t get me going, I heard some mothers talking about ‘losing her virginity’ the other day…argh…it is not a used up or damaged goods bc it’s been entered just as a man’s penis is not used up or damaged goods bc he’s inserted the zone, this is 2013, it all just makes me want to jump into a time machine and see what’s in store for us all, it’s ludicrous and backwards thinking…

…and I’d like a crystal ball about Syria also, having a hard time wanting to condone this military action, it won’t be limited and I don’t like that no one is really with us on this manuever either. Tough decision time…

    Luv, Zen Lill

PS Core exercises – first, wherever you are sitting, roll your shoulders up around and down and allow for that natural slight arch in your back while gently holding in your belly, breath in allowing your belly to expand and exhale visualizing your tummy getting close to your spine. Do this whenever you are conscious of not doing this…start there and I’ll be back, want you to have exercises that promote good proportions and create that female hourglass effect. (thinking about some oblique work that can be done easily without gym machines)

Going to go get nasty now ; ) lol…

  2. Zen Lill Says:

Oh fine, we’re still alone, Misch(?) – just wanted to say that I’d be good with Texas seceding bc they always act like they’re another country already anyway, but ORCA? That ain’t gonna happen…it just won’t.

  3. Caroline Says:

What do you expect from bigots. They see the coming demographics and any hope is better than nothing. As if they could survive on their own. The males would simply resort to intimidating laws to force white females to conform to their sick desires.

  4. Monica Says:

What do you expect from the tiny penis white male. He is looking to set up a place he won’t have to compete for sex in. There he can discriminate with impunity.

  5. Clarence Says:

I wholeheartedly agree with you Zen Lill. Who cares who the lady has slept with, if she is what I want that is all that matters.
